My stomach feels the scrape when we gather around the living room. It's normal to feel nervous. However, I just defend myself to Fiona. It's her fault why we got a fight and if she didn't start to discredit me then it would never happen.
"The principal called us and you involved in a riot inside the hallway. Why did you do that?"
My mother tries to suppress her turmoil but it's written on her face with a distinct disappointment. I remain silent as they continue lecturing me. Luckily, my parents never lay their hands on us but seeing their disappointment from their face, hurting me.
"Minsoo, don't do that again. I know it is hard for you to adjust and you don't like to be here, but having a fight is not a reason to be an insurgent." My father adds.
"Dad, I'm not having a fight, she created it. I'm just defending myself from those who humiliate me and you realize I can't do that." I plead, trying to convince them, I'm not the one who started the riot.
