Flashback
This morning was a rush as I ran around trying to get all of my stuff together for school. Pencil case… check. Water bottle… che wait where's my water bottle? Of course it's in the damn freezer. I would honestly have lost my head if it wasn't so secure already. Thank God for that! With everything packed and ready to go I made my way to the front door of the flat.
"See you later everyone," I shouted out to my family.
Several replies made there way towards me as I opened the door and stepped out only to be met with ….
"Aaahh! Damn! Why would you leave a box there?"
I demanded to the back of the one so obviously responsible for my graceless downfall.
"Oh my! Are you okay? Let me help you help there," came the rough northern accent of the stranger before me.
Standing in front of me was the most handsome man, I had ever seen, with deep stormy grey eyes and sharp jaws which I'm sure could cut even paper. The 5 o'clock shadow had only just accented his manly beauty. Wait? Beauty? What am I even on?
"I'm fine, don't worry about it. But it better not happen again. Do you hear me?"
The smirk on his perfectly chiseled face had suddenly died away as if he didn't expect a telling off. Hmph! Arrogant sod, thinking I was going to sigh all over him like a blushing schoolgirl.
'But you were,' came the traitorous voice in my head.
"Anyways I gotta go," came my oh so smooth exit.
"Wait, I didn't even get your name."
Turning around I came face to face with the attractive stranger.
"Fine, my name is Seraphina. What's yours?" I asked in a detached voice that I could vaguely attach as my own.
"My name is Bra…"
Suddenly, a look flashed in his grey eyes, too quick for me to comprehend.
"... Damien?"
Involuntarily, my right eyebrow arched upwards. Seriously, it's like it was a mind is its own.
"Are you sure about that?"
Though he nodded, quite profoundly might I add, he still wore a face of deep uncertainty. I decided to let it go, after all it had nothing to do with me. Deciding a quick exit was the way to go, I simply left with a quick goodbye. This time he didn't stop me.
