I was getting my equipment ready when the doorbell rang. Mom opened the door and I came to look who was it?
It was Sherry and her mother.
Sherry greeted my mom but didn't even bother saying a word to me. She looked irritated at seeing me.
"Maya, can I leave Sherry with Zack today. Actually, I and Noah(Sherry's dad) have so important work. So..." Sherry's mom pleaded.
"Yeah, it is fine. Zack is going to the forest for hunting maybe Sherry can accompany him."
"Yeah, That will be a good experience for her. I will come and get her by 6 pm"
"Okay"
Sherry's mom left and my mom went back to the kitchen
"Umm, Let's go"
"Hmph" She turned her head around.
As soon as we entered the forest she said "Follow behind me, don't get ahead of yourself and die on me. You will always be weak. I will do the killing, you can take the credit later. This is all a strong person like me can do for a jobless like you." She bragged about herself.
I remained silent and followed her. She killed all the monsters which we came across.
"We have gone quite deep in the forest. We should return now. It's dangerous."
"I didn't ask you what to do so just keep following."
We reached a cliff after a while later. Although it was not deep, Sherry stopped and screamed.
I ran toward her to save her. As I reached near the cliff I felt a monster coming up from down the cliff and the sides. It was a monster horde.
A monster was holding Sherry's foot. I cut off the monster's hand as it fell taking monsters along. We were almost surrounded only the way from where we came was clear. We were getting ready to run in the direction we had heard when we heard a roar. It was a wryven. Its size was that of a truck. It had huge red wings.
By now the way was almost covered. On seeing the wryven Sherry was struck in fear. She pushed me down the cliff and without even thinking about it ran away.
At first, I couldn't understand what happened but then I realized that Sherry had pushed me down. I was extremely angry. I had thought that she at least regarded me as a friend but I was wrong. She made me the bait so that she could run away. It was foolish of me to indulge in things such as emotion. That time I understood that the thing which I hated the most was a betrayal.
(What if I would have been a weak person like she thought? This would have been my doomsday then. This implied that she didn't even care if I lived or died)
Human is such vile creatures, in front of themselves they consider others as nothing but scrape goats.
(I have had enough. I can no longer let it go)
Burning in agony, I charged madly at the monsters.
KILL!KILL!KILL!
