Today my and Sherry's parents had gone to the village for some work. Having nothing to do we decided to sneak out of the house.
Sherry said that she wanted to visit the river so I took my sword along as the river was a little deep into the forest. After walking for an hour we reached our destination.
(Wow what a beautiful place. The river was shallow and was glittering in the sunlight. It had little fishes which could be seen clearly through the water. The sunflowers lined on the opposite side gave a feeling of bliss. Never had I ever watched such a beautiful view. So calming. So relaxing.
I could see Sherry's face illuminated by the reflection from the water, a little blush. What a lovely expression she had. I felt that this smile was warming my heart which had been a cold stone for many years. I could look at her for hours.
We were playing in the river when I sensed danger approaching the river. Having a small sense of preception I couldn't sense it until it came into vision. It was a hobgoblin. Hob goblins were a rank above goblins. He was larger, stronger, and had a better weapon.
I signaled Sherry to run away but she didn't and was looking concerned.
"You run first and then I will follow," I whispered to her.
She stared blankly at me for a second and started running. She kept looking back, again and again, to check if I was okay.
Even for the current me, hobgoblin would not be easy. I tried it to harm it with my blade but it wasn't successful.
(They are weak to fire but I can't use it in the middle of the forest)
"Ahhh!"It was Sherry's voice. (Is she in danger. I have to reach her side quickly)
I covered my blade with a thin but concentrated layer of fire magic and hit the hobgoblin. Because I had a large amount on mana, I dealt a heavy blow to it although my weapon was burnt to crisp. The hobgoblin having received a deep wound, ran away in fear. I quickly hurried back to the sherry's side. There was no monster but she had hurt her leg and was sitting on the ground.
I picked her up and gave her a piggyback.
I was shaking a little cause of nervousness.
"Don't move your hand much, it embarrassing" She was blushing really hard.
"Sorry, Zack I ran away today. I am weak right now but I will get strong and fight by your side. So please wait for me." Her voice was so low that it was barely audible. From the next day onwards she practiced really hard.
I didn't speak a word till we reached home.
(Being thrown in this world is not bad at all)That's what I thought at that time.
When we reached home we were thoroughly scolded but we were happy cause we had made an unforgettable memory.
