I had finally finished stitching the small top that belonged to the female goblin, whom I noticed, was sound asleep on my bed. I watched as she slept, and couldn't help but smile. Cassa rolled over and I saw her chest again and my face went red again. If she was a human then she would be about as endowed as a twenty year old lady but in a miniature version. I do not know why but I could not bring myself to just stare at her like this. I jumped when I heard my father hit the front door and ran over to the little goblin female. I dropped the top small top on her then threw my bear skin over her body to completely hide her. I quickly got dressed, blew out the candles then I run my hands over my shirt in an attempt to flatten the wrinkles then stepped out into the main room stretching and gave a fake yawn as I closed the door behind me.
"Hey son. bad news I'm afraid." rant said as he walked to the larder. "I was digging more into our new tunnel and part of it caved in before we could shore it up." he said as he came back and set a plate of dried bread slices and a few pieces of dried meat and a small handful of red berries. "that's terrible! Are you ok?" I said excitedly and he just nodded to me. Rant took a few bites if food then continued, "the cave in opened a tunnel but we couldn't explore because other fella was injured that I had helping me dig." Rant took a few more bites. 'So that's where Cassa came from. Goblin tunnels!' my father saw me looking at the floor and and spoke up to get my attention, "don't worry, Ered. Lod is ok. Just a sprained wrist and broke foot. He will recover" I looked at my father and my eyes went wide. He leaned back a little at my expression and had a puzzled look, "Father. I have a very bad feeling about this. Please, for the love all things holy. Seal that new tunnel." I think I scared him a little but he just sighed, "Don't worry son. The others came rushing to help us and that's when we smelled the rancid scent of rotting flesh and excrement so we will seal it later on today."
I fell back into the armchair when he said that. I half smiled at him and shook my head, "just a bad dream Father. No worries." he smiled and relaxed then finished his meal. Rant got up and cleared his plate then walked to his room, "Oh here. I found this stone and thought of you. I know you like them so I kept it for you." Father reached into his breeches pocket and produces a brown stone similar to the red and black stones that I already had then he tossed it to me.
"thanks. I'll add it to the others. I want to see if they are worth anything when Morlin comes later today." I spoke as I waved to him then he disappeared into his room closing the door behind him. I quickly ran to my room directly across the hallway from my fathers room and flung the door open. Cassa jumped up out of my bed and landed in the crouched position ready to attack the noise. I curse in my head when I saw her. " sorry. I forgot you were here" I quickly closed the door behind me. Cassa hissed at me and relaxed then found the rest of the ham chunk. "I repaired your shirt" I said as I walked to my box and knelt down. Cassa grabbed her shirt and started relentlessly sniffing it. everywhere my hands were on it especially focusing on the stitched area then grunted as she screwed up her face, "Human stink." I chuckled as she scrambled into the long sleeved top. she intently watched my actions as I dug around my box. I pulled out a small leather bag and opened it. Cassa started humming when I did this and gave her a puzzled look as she smiled? at me. "singing stones!" she softly said through her humming. I watched her ears perk up and twitch a little as I placed the new brown stone the bag with the other two. "singing stones?" I asked as I closed up the bag again and put it back inside my box.
"Oh yes. Very pretty sounds. We put them everywhere." she was clearly excited about this. The first time I got the sense of Cassa being a female since we first met. Other then seeing her naked upper half.
*BOOM!!*
Cassa scrambled around the room being startled at the sudden blast then scrabbled under my bed, hissing as her eyes erratically scanned my room. "ssshhhh. it's alright. it's just the other humans who live in this village. the blasted the opening to the new tunnel so no goblins..." I trailed off and Cassa quickly crawled put and jumped on me grabbing my shirt and pulled me close, "My Home! How I get back home!?" she growled through gritted teeth. She was surprisingly cute for a female goblin. Her eyes were beautiful and captivating. I noticed she has high cheek bones with little black spots set right under her eyes on dark green skin. Her lips may have been curl back over cute little pointed teeth with long canines but I could tell the were really soft when not angered.
Cassa blinked when she noticed my face was red again then jumped off my chest and sneered at me. "sorry about the tunnel being sealed but we don't need more goblins ransacking us." I explained calmly. "how I get back home?" she relaxed a little but I could still see the fear in her wide eyes, " there is a roaming merchant who visits us twice a month. he is due by today. I can find out a goblin cave around here" I tried to say as calmly as possible but Cassa just tensed up, "never been outside. daylight hurts eyes."
