Chapter 15 - Gypsy's

Adilita found herself at loss a moment after reasoning through information currency in Yeviathan City. Navigating Mesta came with the mini-map system that had been very outdated only to be reinstalled as new information during the time she'd ran through the city recklessly. Now with goals in mind that were subjected to clues to finding it; there was now a burning desire to get things done. Something of an achievement for Adilita was that she was starting to waste time running willynilly through every crevasse of her journey. Yeviathan City was so vast that even if she ripped the energy crystals out of golems for their information that she'd still have wasted productive results to finding Carrow Corrow. Enthused about the idea and enchanted by the amusing thought of wanted destruction, Adilita set search through the archives she already had a multitude of. Somewhere near by an anomaly showed up on her extrasensory system that peaked her interest and activated the archives of people of interest to her maker. All it stated was a simple file of a banner which looked to say Gypsy's in old Anadorian.

She followed the beacon to the marked location and prepared to test an advanced mechanism. As a artificial life form and also a sentient one Adilita could reflexively draw on her design. Which she just learned was implanted with an adaptive stabilizer system. "Okay, what the hell Wren?" She thought to herself. "What did you make me for? To destroy an army or to love?" Her thought left her lips as she prepared to launch from the lowest position of balance. The A.I. calculated her trajectory like a bullet launching from a barrel from the finest marksman which actually happened to be Cross who was just passing by the strange Andriod right before she left. (A/N: Fourth Wall activated!)

Jubalee should have filled her circuits but the data codex informed her of a missing input. All Adilita felt the entire flight was calm. The time it took to move across the city's sky was only fifty-four seconds and a millisecond. (A/N Too lazy to do the real math for a 140 LBs to 185 LBS andriod but readers aren't.) The adaptive stabilizers kicked in and nearly destroyed her dress from the force it took to land with a cat-like pose. A web of cracks rippled underneath the andriod's pretty shoes and her feet left an imprint in the terra firma beneath her. What should of have been rocks or paved road now looked a little like a circular message from divine angels on futuristic flying ships. The irony of the situation was that after landing she heard a startled, "EEP!", she saw an angel but albeit not the ones that come from the ships. Adilita said, "Excuse me." Adilita then dusted the angel's wings off politely and fixed the hem of her dress to make it up to the pink hair girl. "Uhhh thanks." The angel noticed that when Adilita was finished her fixing that there was something very interesting about the stranger. The Angel also noticed that Adilita was interested in the shop in front of them. The storefront of a bakery stood with a large sign saying in distinctive new Anadorian vowels, "Gyspy's."

The shop's decorations were homey like a journeyman stationed out in a garrison for many years. Instead of allowing the signal for anomalous alerts drive her she inspected the stout wooden frame. It was different in two ways that it's aesthetic appearance was unique to it's owner's culture and also that it's geometric design appeared to be out of another world entirely. In fact most of Yeviathan's real estate seemed to rule for an intelligent metallic look mixed with crystaline blue embedded power crystals or pillars of sea front art. What Gypsy's looked like was more like a home in Karuru Forest as Adilita processed trilobites of information to try and get a better understanding. Frozen and not breathing in place made the angel now more concerned for Adilita. "Didn't living creatures need to breathe?" The angel thought as she cleared her throat to bring Adilita out of her reverie. Adilita turned tp face the winged girl and the angel saw the andriod's eyes and immediately understood with her divine sight. 'Oh, she doesn't breathe at all.'

"Excuse me, it's not to meet you." The angel said with a cheerful tone that was so natural that the unruly amount of pink hair, pink dress, and pink colored dress seemed to fit perfectly. Adilita smiled and nodded as she realized that she had landed just as the angel wanted to walk inside. "I was just looking for Gypsy's." Adilita said and pointed at the sign. "Oh, you are?" The angel asked with genuine surprise then curtsied politely as she held the door open for Adilita to be able to enter. Adilita walked in and the bell rung as the angel closed the door after following her inside. Adilita gave a small nod to the angel and approached the counter as she gazed on a man with cat ears instead of small rounded nobs on the side of his head. He looked rather fit and seemed to be carrying a pair of chef knives strapped to his leg and waist as though it were entirely normal to be openly armed in a business establishment. Adilita's scanner recognized the anomaly in front of her and even matched further information that was being immediately triggered by the automatic archive banks. Some of which Adilita chose to ignore and some which she was rather keen on understanding quickly about the man. He was a Mithra male. 'Welcome and please take any seat you like." The mithra said as he waved them over to a the tables. "My sister Calico will serve you in a minute."

Adilita's curiosity was aroused as she took a seat with the angel. It was an unfamiliar place with armed men after all and the angel had been so polite that Adilita decided to join her. "A demon, an angel, and a mithra walk into a city.' Sounded almost like a racial tolerance joke but since Adilita was unusual herself she didn't quite feel discriminatory about it. She felt joy over the way Yeviathan had been treating her so far. A cheerfully pink voice greeted her, "I'm Misha Hatsune". Adilita answered, "I'm Adilita Kokoro." Misha fidgeted for a moment then spoke sweetly. "Nice to meet you." It was then that another woman arrived at the table and she too had the same hair color and ears as the man at the counter. "Hello, I'm Calico and I will be your waitress today." Her long hair flopped down to the waist but the colors were a mixture of different blots that seemed natural. It was very Calico but the man at the counter had less hair than the woman so Adilita had ignored it before. Misha accepted the menu and browsed the list. "We serve sweets and rare to find foodstuff anywhere. Here is your menu and here is some tea while you're waiting." It is important to note that Calico gave off an air of certianty and a feeling of lightness around her as she spoke. Even the energy reader in Adilita found traces of strong power inside Calico. It was pretty similar to the readings Misha gave off based on the type of readings she saw. "May I help you? That's rather rude." Calico said to Adilita as she touched the side of her maid dress to reach for a small hand wand just in case. It seemed to appear in the Mithra's hand. "I don't like being checked out so please refrain from doing it again." Calico said curtly.

Adilita was surprised since Eliza had been much more patient with Adilita than Calico even when sitting on the throne. It was Misha who stepped in with her sweet voice. "We're sorry. We won't do it again." Adilita was rather stoic but stopped staring at Calico and added, "I promised I won't. It's just that I am looking for the son of the king of Mesta City." Calico's fang chewed on her lip a moment before the mithra putting away the wand. It seemed that Gypsy's was a place that brought in some rude customers and Adilita had tripped the Mithra's social rules.

"You've come to the right place but please be mindful here. Gypsy's a sanctuary for all kinds of races and my brother and I try to keep it that way. I hope you don't mind respecting our happy little store. We don't like to fight here and scanning me is not appreciated because it can be taken as a reason to fight outside." Calico replied as she leaned forward to set the delicate tea cups in front of them. Much to Adilita's surprise she saw that her cup had a substance tailored to her needs rather than actual tea. She'd been unsure whether or not she was able to drink humanoid food and knew that she didn't need to. Misha on the other hand received normal treatment to which she sipped on her tea. "I understand." Misha said and Adilita nodded in agreement. "Thank you for the drinks but we don't have anything to pay you with," Misha told Calico. The mithra seemed unbothered by this and continued to serve them. "First time is on the house then because we don't get many angels visiting our store. It is an honor to meet you miss."

Adilita thought, 'How convenient.' Reminded by the same kindness Eliza showed Adilita before she smiled at Calico who cheerfully perked her feline ears. "What brings you here today?" Calico asked. Misha replied, "I wanted to try a few sweets."

"Not without paying first.' They heard across the counter to see the man glare at Calico. "Come off it Gypsy and make the angel an angel cake." Calico answered back instead of letting Misha feel negatively about her finances by defending her. "I'll pay for their meal since you're so stingy." Gypsy, the mithra male behind the counter took a ledger and wrote it down. "I'll make the best angel cake you've ever had then." It would seem that Gypsy's attitude changed then since Calico promised. "Don't worry about it. We make plenty of money with the sweets we make and we don't really need it. He's just being a bit stingy because he's a Rogue type fighter and they like their treasures alot." Calico explained to the pair. "Go ahead sweethearts, order whatever you like. I recommend the most expensive options here or you can have anything you'd like made. Our sweets are enchanted to make you feel better, smarter, and stronger if that's what you like." Calico said with a proud smile to the pair she served. "Okay, then. I'll have these." Adilita said and dared to pick out an entire list of treats since she knew that the store could accomidate her and that Calico was being very polite to them. "I'll take the angel cake." Misha said. The silent pause was clear between the three for a moment as Calico wrote the ticket. "Okay, it will be right out."

This left the two ladies at the table to talk. Adilita didn't quite know how to address Misha but that wasn't a problem for the angel who was very friendly. "Umm, you're looking for a king's son?" Misha's voice sounded like clear bells when she asked. Adilita answered, "Yes, my friend Eliza helped me find this city and it led me to finding this shop." Misha appeared very understanding of the situation. "I hope you find him."
