If you are wondering why I'm walking free with little charges then listen up. Police don't like to deal with super powered humans, at least not those that have powers that can harm others. We are tough to deal with so they just send a private agent like Aster to watch over them. Cops know that someone will poke the bear and get seriously injured and possibly killed from time to time, they are a bit more lenient with that.
"Mr. Lenard are you there, I asked you if you need a ride?" Aster interrupted.
I looked at her and cringed, "Mr. Lenard was my father, call me Hugo and yes we need a ride" I answered.
Aster gave me a side stare and started walking to her car, "my car is too small for everyone to fit" she said with concern.
I looked at her small car and agreed then thought of a solution, "if you have to be by my side then those three can take the car, we can run back, it's only a 10 minute drive back so it shouldn't be a problem," I shared with a smile.
Aster looked at me as if I said something dumb, "I'm strong but still have stamina that wouldn't last but we can ask for a ride from one of the officers," she came out with.
I rubbed my head and thought back to the two people I killed and decided that's not an option. I had another idea but Aster wouldn't like it much, "I can carry you, I run fast so it shouldn't take more than twenty minutes to get to my house. I know that you don't like the…"
"Fine" Aster cut me off.
I was expecting her to punch me but this works for me. Kana, Grace and Lilith climbed into the car and drove off while I scooped Aster up into my arms and started running. I was much faster than I remembered, somewhere around 38-42 mph. I tried to speed up but nearly lost balance so continued at my current speed. At this rate we will reach my house within 15 minutes.
Once we got home the triplets were already waiting for us and Lilith seemed to be laughing from something, "what's so funny?" I asked.
Lilith looked at me with her emerald eyes and smiled, "oh it's nothing, just hearing the little adventure you had in the hospital," she teased.
I rolled my eyes and opened the front door then realized they must be hungry. I picked up the knife I got stabbed with and threw it in the sink.
"Good news is we still have the food but the bad news is it's cold," I announced.
Everyone just looked at me then Kana spoke up, "we ate at the police station so don't worry about it."
Aster stood back blushing a little, "I got called in out of nowhere and…" she said.
I looked at her with a smile, "and now you are hungry, I guess you're the only one that will be eating," I responded.
I put a plate of waffles on the table and sat Aster down, "would you like something to go with those?" I solicited.
She hesitated but requested milk and jam. While Aster ate I sat across the table and watched her pleased expression.
I just realized Lilith was back to normal, her ice queen look disappeared. I don't know how to feel about that faze, it helped but it could be pointing towards a more serious condition.
Lilith was watching tv on the couch so I went to ask how she was holding up but she didn't let me. I tapped on her shoulder when she looked up at me then turned away. I walked around and got in front of her but before I could ask she quickly went in for a kiss then backed off.
"Don't worry about anything, nothing bad will happen any time soon" she tried to reassure me.
Aster was done eating and went to wash the plate before I intercepted her, "give the plate here, I'll wash it" I said with a small smile.
Aster handed me the plate without complaint and started following me. I washed the plate first then the knife and other dishes.
When I was done Aster looked at me, "from this point on I will follow you everywhere and that includes private places" she insisted.
"Does that mean you will take a shower with me?" I teased.
"Yes" Aster retorted.
"Ok then, I think Lilith had a few swimsuits and you two are the same size so you can borrow one, that's not a problem right?" I asked.
She gave me a strange look, "yes that is a problem, I'm not ashamed of my body and won't let something like this put me in danger of a concealed weapon. I don't normally do this but a blade with your strength could probably penetrate my skin," she argued.
I gave in and asked Lilith if Aster can borrow one of her swimsuits and she had no complaints.
"Aster you wear one but I'll go in without, is that a problem?" I asked now hoping she accepts those conditions.
She gave it a quick thought and agreed to it.
I took her to Lilith's closet and picked one for her to use, pink with white flowers. Aster started to change while I stood a few feet away facing the other direction.
Aster tapped on my shoulder prompting me to turn around. Her bottom was on but the top was hanging in her left hand leaving her breasts exposed to me.
"Can you help me? My tough skin takes away a lot of my flexibility so I can't tie off the back," Aster explained.
I took a deep breath and grabbed the top, as I tied the back I could hear her breathing deeply, her blood flowing caught my attention the most, something about the red liquid was appealing. I finished tying it off and found myself nibbling her neck giving her a little scare.
"All done," I said.
