We were ready and already heading off to the warehouse, we had a few snipers posted there ahead of time to take the guards out from the outside. Government had no issue with the police killing criminals especially in these situations. When everyone was in place it was my time to head in, I entered through a back entrance to make my way as far in as possible before causing a ruckus. I was in deep, I saw prison like cells with a few having people in them. Most of them looked half dead, some were missing limbs while others had cut in the bellies. I had to try and keep myself from puking at the smell, it reeked of flesh in this place.
I finally found my way to the center where a lot of people were gathered together cheering at something. I made my way through the crowd and saw a metal cage with two people fighting, one of them was definitely a super human, I could feel his punches from over here. The other man was just a run of the mill man, he was already dead but the other just pummeled the corpse. I was about done spectating and let out a loud clap that overtook the loud cheers.
Everyone turned their attention towards me, "so why don't I get a shot at the big brute, although I feel like you'd be just a warm up," I said with a chuckle.
The man in the cage looked angry, he grabbed the corpse and threw it out of the ring with little effort and pointed at me then into the ring.
I could hear the crowd getting riled up as well, I paid them no mind and with one swift jump I hopped over the fence surrounding the arena. Without wasting any time the brute attacked me but he was very slow, I grabbed his forearm and slammed him to the ground. He wouldn't even be a challenge for Aster, she would end the fight before it even started But I wanted to put on a show to distract everyone.
He got up from the ground and attacked again a little faster this time but I moved under his arm and punched him in the gut holding back a lot… maybe a little too hard because he wasn't getting back up.
"Amazing how this guy could be considered strong but what can you do in such a dump, I won't find anyone strong here," I said loudly pissing a lot of people off.
I felt like these people had something wrong with their brains, the fire dude was the first to actually do something.
"Did you think I would let such a comment slide, I will burn you to a crisp, not even your family will be able to identify your corpse," the man nearly shouted.
I grabbed the brute and threw him at the fire dude, "take your trash with you when you die, comprende?" I said sarcastically only pissing him off further.
He lit his arms up in a deep red color and created a vortex of fire around my body and pumped the heat up quickly. My clothes burned away in an instant but my body itself was in mint condition but the fire was getting annoying so I lunged at him at full speed grabbing his face with one arm.
"You're dead," I said with a growl and closed my hand shut crushing his skull and instantly killing him. I watched as some of his exposed brain fell to the ground and the fire disappeared. I was greeted by three other men and surprisingly no one started running making this easy.
One man turned into a small mech which was impressive to an extent, the second man fell to the floor without me doing anything, he was actually dead which was weird. Third man in question started to freak out at the site but collected himself and got into a fighting stance holding a few metal marbles in his hands.
I waited for one of them to make a move and finally the shape shifter attacked but he was too slow to stop my fist from slamming into his throat making him turn back to normal and cough up blood trying to breath but failing.
I moved to the side and put the fire dude's corpse in the way of some marbles flying at me then they exploded making my meat shield disappear. I had a kill on sight order for the seven so I chucked the remains of the fire dude at the third guy which made a cracking sound. He was on the floor grasping his chest in pain but before killing him I swung my arm back killing the second guy behind me.
"If you're going to erase your presence with illusions, you shouldn't forget your scent, honestly," I instructed.
I walked up to the third guy and slammed his head to the floor with a lot of force crushing his skull. I felt the room's air pressure changing for a while now and finally decided to pay attention to it. I smelled someone's scent spreading throughout the entire room which all led to one spot in particular.
"So you done building up your attack or should I continue to pretend that you aren't there?" I asked rhetorically with a laugh.
I bent down and picked up one of the marbles and threw it into the crowd hitting a man which made the air pressure disperse creating a strong gust of wind. Two more and both are completely unknown. After that last guy the crowd was starting to panic a bit, some people were starting to run but before I even knew it I was missing an arm. I didn't panic, I just picked it up and put it back for a few seconds and it was good as new. Luckily for me my heat vision was on and I saw where the attack came from, looked like a blade user, a person that turns his limbs into blades. People like this can have all sorts of blade, this one in particular had a string type blade. I wasn't too worried, he's a sadist so he… no she won't go for my head. People like this are easy to deal with because they will panic if you don't, I had to deal with these kinds of people before… although they never tried to kill me, just wannabe bullies, they tend to leave you alone if you don't have a reaction to their abuse. I picked up two more marbles and threw one and a second one right after at a faster speed. The slower one was blocked but the faster one was too fast and hit its mark hitting her leg and blowing it straight off. I watched as the woman frantically tried to stop the bleeding but only cut her leg trying to use her ability to tie the leg up. I walked up closer and the woman just stared at me in horror.
"Let's cut a deal, excuse the pun, I'll save your life if you point out the last superhuman?" I proposed.
She stared at me in relief and nodded her head, "he… he just ran off, hi-his power is deterioration, anything he touches deteriorates fast, he headed for the south exit," she muttered.
I looked at her in pure panic and quickly dispatched of her. I ran full speed to where Aster was, he could actually kill her and will if they came face to face. I saw Aster with a lot of people getting arrested, I also saw the man in question, he was wearing clothing that had it's sleeves dissolved. I wouldn't be able to catch up to him so I improvised and slammed the floor breaking the concrete and picked up a piece of rock and threw it with tremendous force hitting the man in the side making him tumble to the floor a few feet away from Aster.
"ASTER, DON'T TOUCH HIM YOU WILL DIE!!" I yelled at the top of my lungs.
Aster luckily listened to me and backed away in time for me to catch up and grabbed the man's neck instantly feeling my hands getting dissolved, I quickly snapped his neck and pulled my hand back to let it heal.
Aster just looked at my hand and knew why I told her to stand back, she walked up to me to see how I was doing.
"Do you need to eat? It looks like it's healing slow," she questioned.
I looked at her and nodded, "we can't do it here though, people will see," I mentioned.
Aster thought about it and seemed to have an idea, she wrapped her arms around me and pulled in closer and put her lips against mine giving my lips a little nib as a hint. I was caught a little off guard but caught on and bit through her lips taking a little blood.
Smith walked up behind us and tapped me on the shoulder, "so does making out make you heal faster?" he inquired confusedly.
I pulled back and Smith saw the two bite marks healing on Asters lips and he put the pieces together.
I glanced at him with my eyes glowing a darker red color than normal, "I'm guessing Aster didn't put it in her report that my diet consists of 100% human blood?" I asked sarcastically.
