I was done, something new awaited me at every corner. I stared at the girls baffled by their words, they heard the voice but it usually speaks to me on a frequency that humans can't hear.
I finally asked, "what do you mean you hear it?"
Without hesitation Kana answered, "we don't hear it with our ears, it feels like it's speaking directly into our brains… like telepathically."
I tried talking to the voice again, "hey ugly, lose your nerve just because some others can hear you?"
"KILL THEM!!" it screamed.
They didn't respond this time.
"KILL THEM NOW, YOU HAVE NO MORE TIME" it demanded.
LIlith looked at me with her brilliant eyes and punched me in the gut. She had a surprising amount of strength but it didn't really faze me, at that moment I realized they weren't acting normal. Kana and Grace started walking to the kitchen, I followed behind them out of curiosity. Both of them grabbed a kitchen knife and I realized the voice was trying to kill them both by force. I had no plans of letting it happen, I took the knife from Grace but didn't have time to take it from Kana.
"KANA, put the knife down," I said in a commanding voice.
Kana gasped as her consciousness was returned to her. She looked at me scared of the feeling she just felt, she was afraid she couldn't control herself.
Lilith walked into the kitchen but was already normal, Grace was the last one to snap out. I bit Grace's ear and she came back blushing and afraid.
"Nice try, showing me those illusions and telling us to do something won't make it happen" I spouted.
The voice was quiet then suddenly broke out in laughter, "those aren't illusions, what I showed you is the undeniable future that awaits you."
I didn't take him seriously because the most he has done was control the girls and cause me some trauma that I got over fairly quickly. I wasn't going to lose to him, I would push past him and live a normal life.
I then noticed something obvious, "they can only hear you because I can, I hear you with my ears but they get telepathic audio so that means if I can't hear you then they won't either. Next goal, find a way to push you out," I explained.
"That is true but the visions you see are not of my own making, you hate this world naturally, I only piggy backed off the feeling you already have, I twisted them and eventually they will be twisted enough that you will end the lives of those close to you. I don't need to speak to you for those visions to come up, I will twist them and soon they will no longer need a trigger to activate, yes I will watch as you cause your own downfall, your hatred will kill your compatriots," the voice prattled on.
My own hatred, yes I hate humanity but not enough to kill them. My parents have always treated me like garbage and all my fellow classmates have always picked on me because they thought I looked down on them. Government has always prioritized me over those that need help. They ignored those that didn't help them and when it came to me they always bent over backwards just because I lined their pockets with goods. I believe this world is rotten to the core but I want to change it not destroy it. I have always had at least one person there for me.
"Yes, fan that hatred and kill those three, you will be free of all corruption, this world doesn't deserve one as great as you, just kill them and you'll be free" the voice whispered.
I smiled, "afraid not, I am above non and below non, all humans are equal and should be treated as such, killing someone is like saying I am above them," I retorted.
"Fool, you are no human, you are a young God" the voice spoke.
I nearly broke out in laughter, he speaks like an old man, "I am no God, I'm a human like the rest of the people I know… well I may be a little different since I came back to life but still human nonetheless" I countered.
Lilith looked at me with concern, "Hugo what's he saying?" she asked.
I gave her a small smile, "nothing important, just a bunch of nonsense" I answered assertively.
Maybe this voice knows what's happening with my body, I should ask just to see.
"Well mister know it all, explain what's happening to my body," I asked nonchalantly.
I heard the voice scoff at me then he said something, "we Gods do not have a physical form that can hold our power, your body is no exception, eventually it will give out and you will inadvertently kill every human and animal that inhabits that universe. I honestly can leave you alone and you will kill everyone but by law you were supposed to join us in Godhood but someone brought you back, now those three are anchoring you to that realm," the voice explained.
"I understand but killing is off limits to me and I will find a way to block you out completely. I will join you when what you said occurs," I proclaimed.
"You've got nerves of steel to talk back to me like that, I will not stand for it" the voice said angrily.
*Kill them now*
I looked at the world as it turned red, I felt a deep hatred at my core. I tried to resist with all my might but it overtook me, I tried to stop my legs from moving but it was futile. I started walking towards Lilith but my arms stopped inches before reaching her.
"L-Lilith I c-can't, L-Lilith kill me n-now, y-you're safe for now. I d-don't know how you're supposed to die so grab a knife, stab me before I see, d-don't worry I w-won't die forever" I told Lilith.
Lilith was standing stiff, fear radiated from her body. Lilith snapped out of it when I shouted. She ran to grab a knife but the vision of her death came in, I saw her head leaned to the side further than it should be. My fingers were imprinted on her neck, blood dripped from her mouth like a gentle river. Without warning my body began to move toward her but right before my hands reached her throat Lilith squatted down in record time and lunged the knife into my chest piercing my heart. I didn't die to my surprise, the world was still stained red but Lilith's neck was back to normal. I was enamored by Lilith's emotionless expression, she was staring at me stained in my blood but looked unfazed.
Lilith looked down at me coldly, "are you don't with your little tantrum? Or do you need me to stab you a few more times," she asked in a monotone voice.
As long as I have known her this has ever only happened once before. I was concerned about the other two but saw they looked alive as well, they were frozen out of fear but all right.
I turned my attention back to Lilith, "so, can you stab me a few more times? Everything is still red," I requested.
With complaint Lilith sat down on my abs, she lifted the knife over my chest and without hesitation brought it down with the force of a truck. Lilith sat over me still showing no emotion as she lunged the knife in my chest repeatedly. I felt every stab and it hurt but I didn't let it show, after 19 stabs I blacked out.
