The students stood in ragged fashion against the force of bots. Of the twenty-eight students only about fifteen were there. Among them was the black stone girl, and the shark guy. Another guy steps up beside him "Glad your moving after that hail of rubber."
"Ah so it was you who helped me." He said with a chuckle "Well I say we finish this test now."
"Agreed."
And with that the students rushed the bots. Micheal took the lead sending a hoof through the first melee bot. And with that the students waged war on the battle bots. The blackstone girl punches holes in the metal, the metal slinger is hurling spike, and the shark is biting through metal.
As the sounds of crumpling metal and pained cries come out of the test area so does another sound. A rumbling like that of a herd of rhinos. The girl carried by Micheal is now awake and looking over his shoulder.
In a shrill voice she calls out over the cacophony of noise "There's another group of bots coming in from behind us. One of them is massive!"
A few students at the back of the pack turn and look. And with panicked cries they fight harder. Blast after blast Jason puts down a bit but he's reaching his limit. He takes a second to look around most of the people that are fighting are close combat types. A few like Jason and his metal slinging savior are up front trying to clear a path. The girl in Micheal's arms points at a bit and it's head explodes. As he takes in that sight he sees a sword in his peripheral and can't avoid it.
Jason crumples to the ground from the head shot. As he comes to he can feel himself being dragged. Opening his eyes he can see that a narrow path has been cleared in the bots. As the person dragging him stops for but a moment Jason tries to stand.
A hand forces him down "Don't stand yet. Cover my ass so I can get us out."
With a nod Jason allows himself to be dragged across the ground. As he shoots blast after blast into the encroaching bots it looks as if they are going to be overrun. And then the bots stop.
Then a voice comes over the loud speaker "All students have exited the test arena. Those of you in need of healing go see Caladrius. She will heal you up."
"Mind helping me up?" Jason asks his helper.
"Saved your ass twice today. I think you owe me." The metal slinger says as he offers a hand.
The guy is around 5'9 with black hair, green eyes. He's got a bit of a bulky frame. "Yeah well hopefully I'll make it into the hero program. I'll repay you then how about it."
"Sounds good. I'm Blake Martin."
"Jason Torr. I'm gonna go get healed now."
"That's probably a good idea."
With that and a hand shake they go their separate ways. Jason stumbles towards the winged woman that appears to be the school nurse when his vision is blocked by a black red costume "Hey Jason are you alright." Zip says as he places a hand on Jason shoulder.
Shrugging his hand off "Leave me alone. I've nothing to say to you." And Jason pushes past Zip.
"I'm sorry." Zip whispers
Wiping a tear from his face Jason reaches the line of people waiting to be healed. There he finds his friends George and Lillian. "Hey guys." He calls out waving to them. Immediately regretting the action as it caused his head to pulse hard.
"Damn dude. They were just robots. How'd you get hit that hard." Asks George.
"Hi." Lillian says in her soft slightly lilting voice.
Taking in George "How are you missing a shoe and half your hair?" Jason asks.
"Well ya know..... that's a fair point. Fire quirks. That's all I'm gonna say." George replies.
As the trio stands and tells what transpired during their respective tests it turns out Lillian was uninjured and just standing with George.
As Jason step up to be healed he gets a disapproving look from the winged woman. "You must be more careful. Head injuries are serious no matter how small."
"Understood. Thank you."
Him and Lillian wait for George to be healed. The process takes a bit longer because it grows his back as well. As soon as he is done the three head out to the entrance of the school grounds. At the entrance Jason and his friends turn and look back at the school.
"Until the next time."
