The system Aqeen had changed was and wasn't one at the same time. Half of Eguru's blood was now shadows and the rest got restored. But what did that mean?
Systems usually allowed Devourers to have stats and increase them. This is not the case here though.
He had recreated it so that Eguru would only get system announcements but no stats. Those announcements were important to make sure the he'd actually do what he's supposed to.
Destroy this world.
Shadow-energy was something extremely dangerous and powerful. Half of his body consisted of it which meant that if he wasn't careful it could consume him.
It kinda works like magic even though it isn't.

As Verzo wrapped off the sheets around Eguru's body he noticed something odd. "Look at this", Fabio came to take a look. "What's that? It doesn't look good."
"I have no clue. You sure your people didn't so something weird to him?" Verzo looked at him prepared to kill, to what Fabio just responded with "We don't do something like that."
Black smoke was circling around the body of that dead, young man and it started to fill up the spot where he got stabbed.
The two men just stood there watching. Verzo wondered what the hell was happening. Clearly this was abnormal.
As soon as the black smoke seemed to have completed its procedure red liquid was now slowly crawling into the wound. "Is that.. blood?"
Fabio was confused about what was happening. But so was Verzo 'cause as soon as the other man asked if that liquid was blood he realized Eguru is going to be revived. 'But what was that black smoke?...'
He didn't know. Watching this process for a few minutes it looked like it was almost done.
His wound closed in an instant and a creepy flash of what looked like the black smoke but in form of a horrifying creature appeared for a fraction of a second. Only Verzo noticed it.
More and more hope was finding it's way to him. After a while he picked up movement. Eguru was amongst the living again. 'Come on, wake up!'
Verzo was full of faith and believed in what he just saw.
Eguru's consciousness returned. He slowly woke up and his eyes opened. Verzo was glad and Fabio couldn't comprehend anything right now. A moment like this was even more rare than being born a genius.
Verzo sat down beside his best friend and forced Fabio to do so too. "Wassup man, are you alright?"
Eguru stared at him for a second. "I don't even know dude. I thought I died but now I'm here - alive?"
He had to gather himself first. After everything that had happened it was only natural for a human to be confused. Maybe even shocked.
"Yeah, you did die... However you just suddenly got patched together and here you are now."
Fabio looked at Eguru and he noticed. How would he ever forget the one that caused him so much suffering? "What is he doing here?" He asked Verzo who already expected the question to come sooner or later.
"Since he is responsible for everything I decided to force him with me. I orignally wanted to bury you here but there's no need for that now. Don't know what I'm going to do with him now though." He glanced over at the murderer and thought about it for a minute.
"We're gonna bring you back to Legrandeus. I usually don't want to be involved in the business of people from the black market so I'm going to let you go. The next time I see you I'll kill you though."
Fabio swallowed. This was his final warning and he knew that. "Alright."
"By the way..", Eguru wondered about something. "Where are we?"
"We're in Akuta. One of the most beatiful cities in Raiherd. That's where I wanted to bury you." Eguru just kind of whispered something and stood up. He felt different. Something rather strange was crawling around in his flesh.
There it was.
[System announcement: Revival of the ''Devourer'' complete. Guidance is going to follow within the next five minutes]
'Ah, it's back huh. What is a ''Devourer''? Am I supposed to be that?' He tried to make something out of this and the trial he absolved before he got here. 'It's gotta be related.. Isn't this something in Anime? Where the main character gets teleported into another world and suddenly becomes the strongest guy out of nowhere?..'
He had a lot of unanswered questions but Verzo made a gesture telling he should follow. "We're heading back to Legrandeus. A lot has happened and I'm going to explain everything to you while we go there."
Realizing something he sighed. "I forgot you can't go as ast as we can. I guess we're gonna walk there."
And so all three of them started walking for hours until tey eventually reached Legrandeus. In the meantime Verzo explained everything that has happened and in what kind of situation he was in right now.
It was actually quite dangerous to walk on the fields epecially since the sun began to go down before they started their trip back to the city, but made it back safely nonetheless.
Eguru remembered he still had to look at the new system announcement. Is he finally going to get insight about why he was here?
