After Lukas' mother's funeral, Mika stayed with his family for a while. Lukas had to go back to work for an important meeting so she stayed behind with his family since Lukas' father wasn't doing so well especially after the funeral. Katy had to go to school so Lukas' asked Mika to stay behind. He prepared all of the transportation so she doesn't have to worry about buying tickets.
After a few days, Mika got to the airport after saying farewell to Lukas' family. Even though she didn't talk too much about their family history but she did help around whenever she can.
Looking at her watch, Mika still have an hour to wait for the flight. She found an empty seat and placed her luggage beside it. Since there weren't too many people, she lined up at a nearby Starbucks to buy something to drink.
After a while, a group of people came out of the car wearing tuxedos and sunglasses. A tall man came out of the car, he had slender legs and he looked handsome as he walked into the airport. He was surrounded by bodyguards, two males and two females. People around them were taking pictures since it was a rare occasion.
Mika heard a group girls screaming, she took off her earbuds and saw a tall man in the distance.
"Lukas?" She shook her head since Lukas was back in Shanghai. Mika kept on looking at him since he looked like Lukas but doesn't act like Lukas. Who was he? Lukas didn't mention of having a brother, she ignored him and continued on reading her book.
As it was time to board the plane, Mika got her tickets ready to board the plane but she accidentally dropped her phone. She was going to pick it up but she saw a man's hand picking the phone up, "Here you go, Miss." Mika looked at him with a bit of shock since he looked like Lukas.. Mika stood there for a second then she realized he had her phone, "Oh, thank you so much. You remind me of someone." The young man chuckled, "I guess that person never told you anything about me. My name is Anthony. I'm Lukas' twin brother. You said you know my brother, right? What are you to him?" Mika nervously laughed, "It's a long story." Anthony nodded and smile, "No worries, I'm sure I can keep up."
Mika couldn't believe her eyes, Lukas' brother is something else. Even his body guards looked so cool.
When she got on the plane, her seat was in the first class cabin, same as Anthony. Guess he's rich too, she thought. The flight attendant came into their cabin and told them to ask them anything if they had any questions. When the plane arrived in Shanghai, Mika met up with David at the pick up place.
"David! It's nice seeing you. Where's Lukas?" David help Mika with her luggage and told her, "Boss is busy at the moment. He sent me to pick you up and meet him at home." Mika understood and got inside the car. Before the car drove off, someone knocked on her side of the window. Anthony was outside and greeted her as Mika rolled down the window.
"Hey, where you headed to? If you have time, we can catch up at my place." Anthony was warm and welcoming but Mika shook her head, "Maybe next time, what's your phone number?"
After exchanging their contact information, Mika said goodbye to Anthony while he waved back. It seemed like Anthony was a good person but she remained low-profile just to be safe.
Mika finally arrived home but the maids were off work today so it was just her and this huge mansion. She opened all the windows to let in fresh air, the air felt so fresh she could literally sleep under the sunshine. Mika felt Lukas' back hug but she remained silent because of what happened in the past, it was hard for her to accept him.
"You're back, Mika. You don't know how much I missed you." Lukas hugged her tightly but she wasn't sure if that was Lukas' true feeling, "I'm back." She replied softly and gently letting go his hand. Mika was debating whether to tell Lukas' about Anthony but she asked anyways.
"Lukas', is there anything you didn't tell me before?" Mika asked and she patiently waited for his reply.
"No, why? Anything the matter?" Lukas replied. Mika nodded, "Really? You didn't tell me that you had a twin brother?" Mika waited for Lukas' response but he went silent and let go of Mika, "You met him?" Mika nodded, "I thought I should tell you, he's back in Shanghai." Lukas' tightened his fist and took a deep breath, "Mika, I'm sorry for hiding this from you but Anthony isn't my brother anymore. We're business rivals and each other's enemies. After what he's done in the past, I could never forgive him."
Lukas' didn't want to talk about Anthony anymore so Mika didn't force him. Mika responded, "I don't know what happened between you two but you guys are still biologically related. You are family with Anthony. I really envied that you had a brother. My unborn baby sister died while she was still in my mother's womb. I always wanted a sibling." Mika smiled with tears in her eyes while remembering the past.
"But, that's the past. I just hope I can help you two, siblings cannot be enemies. They are your other half no matter how many bad things they did in the past, they are still your sibling." Mika said with a gentle smile on her face. She took Lukas' hand and firmly held them, "I've been your wife for over a month but I still don't know too much about your family's conflict. I hope you can trust me so I can trust you in return."
