Mika saw David entered and she immediately stood up, "Oh David, you're here. Thanks for the lunch, I was so hungry." David was about to laugh but he held it in, "Enjoy your time." David stepped out to let them have their private space. Mika thought it was weird, why did David suddenly leave? She did stop hugging Lukas after David came in, she thought.
"Ah, the lunch smells so good. Do you want some, Lukas?" She asked but he shook his head, "I'm not hungry." Mika was disappointed but she tried again, "If you don't want this, at least drink some congee. You need nutrients." Mika opened the congee bowl lid and used a spoon to be feed him, "Open your mouth, AH!" Lukas listened to her and ate a spoonful of congee even when he didn't feel like it.
After Mika finished lunch, she was full and had more energy to deal with afternoon work. Lukas, on the other hand, had to answer a call so he went outside. She opened her laptop and continued on reading.
After several hours of working, Mika drove home with Lukas who was resting in the front seat. He had a long day.
Mika supported Lukas as they went home. He didn't have any energy so after washing themselves up, they went to bed together. Mika felt like he was hiding something from her but she didn't ask him.
Mika felt so sleepy after going to bed that it didn't take her too long to fall asleep.
In the middle of the night, Lukas' headache back and he grabbed onto Mika's arm for support. Mika woke up suddenly and turned around to Lukas who was in pain.
"I'm right here, i'm right here." Mika grabbed his medication since he told her on the car. She carefully supported his back as he sat up and gave his medicine plus a glass of water.
"How are you feeling?" She gently asked. Lukas weakly replied, " Better. The pain is gone." Lukas snuggled in between Mika's chest because he felt safe with her. Mika didn't mind at all.
Finally, it was the weekend. Mika slept pretty well last night, Lukas was still asleep so she got up to prepare breakfast.
After a while, Lukas woke up and saw Mika gone. He got up and went downstairs, his breakfast was already on the table and there was a small note written on it.
"I'll be back soon. Make sure to take your medicine after breakfast." Lukas smiled and sat down. He finished the breakfast without feeling nauseous which was great. Mika changed the way she cooked to help Lukas digest food better.
After few hours, Mika came back from shopping. She bought lots of fresh fruits and vegetables.
Lukas came down to help out with the grocery, "Ah, it's okay. Lukas, you rest. This is not too heavy." Mika was planning on cooking something healthy for him but she changed her mind.
Mika turned to Lukas, "Consider this as our first date! Since the maids are gone for today, let's cook together." Lukas nodded and helped her washing some of the vegetable.
"You need to eat your veggies. It's good for you. Don't be picky since you're sick." Mika chopped a small piece of carrot and fed it to him. Lukas ate it when she fed him.
"You really didn't have too much vegetables. Since you're sick, i'm going spoil you with my cooking." Mika was confident in her cooking. Lukas nodded as he helped her chopping up some vegetables.
"This should be good." The vegetables in the wok smelled so good. Lukas was surprised, it did smell good.
"Be my guinea pig. Open your mouth." Mika fed him a piece of veggie.
"It's good. First time trying your cooking." Lukas smiled at her. He back hugged her tightly, "Thank you, Mika. You knew I was sick so you purposely bought a lot of veggies. You didn't complain when we didn't go to places you wanted. I'm sorry." Mika turned to him, "Why I should complain? All I wanted was spending time with you." She gave him a peck on the cheek.
"You naughty girl." Lukas kissed her on her lips and Mika totally forgot about her vegetable, "Ah, shoot... the vegetables. Good thing it's not burnt yet." Lukas was speechless, did Mika just say her vegetables are more important than him? Mika looked at Lukas and laughed, "Look at you. What's so funny? Don't worry, you can continue after we eat. Come on!" Lukas was disappointed but he listened to her.
"Here are your vegetables, I'm looking at you. Don't you dare throw them away." Lukas nodded and smiled, "I'll eat them. They smell great." Mika looked that Lukas while he eats, "If you don't want to eat them, it's okay. I was just joking." Lukas shook his head, "This is the best I've eaten so far. All of the food that the maid cooked made me nauseous. I've threw up a lot." Mika nodded and didn't say anything. As they ate and talked, the food was almost done.
"How are you feeling now? Are you still nauseous?" Mika asked and Lukas shook his head, "Since it was my girl's cooking, why would I? Don't worry, I'm fine. I just need a rest. After they finished cleaning up, she sat beside him and felt his head. She was relieved there was no fever.
"Should we go up there and rest or do you want to stay on the couch?" Lukas pointed on the couch, "This is fine. I'll just need your arm as my pillow again." Mika listened and she lend her arm for Lukas to sleep on, "Go on and sleep, your body needed it. Don't mind me, I'm fine." Lukas nodded and slowly fell asleep. Mika looked at him then held his hand, "No matter what happens, we'll get through it together."
