Mika woke up when the sun was starting to rise, she stretched and got up to move around. Her neck was sore from sleeping on the chair. Lukas wasn't awake yet so she got up and opened the window to let in some fresh air.
After getting some food, she went in to check on Lukas who was still sleeping. His doctor came in to check on him saying he should wake up soon since he's in stable condition. Mika sat beside Lukas and held onto his hand.
He felt like drowning into the deep ocean, it was hard to breathe and no one was around him. He panicked because no one was helping him. Mika saw Lukas was having a nightmare so she stayed close to him while calling his name.
"Lukas, wake up. It's okay, I'm here."
Lukas suddenly opened his eyes and his breathing was uneven.
"Where am I?" Lukas panicked and held onto Mika's hand. She comforted him and said they were in the hospital, "You passed out few days days. Do you remember anything?"
"I can't remember anything. What happened to me?" Lukas looked at her with his helpless eyes.
"You passed out when you drank the alcohol. Someone drugged you. We still don't know yet." Mika told him. Lukas looked puzzled, "I drank alcohol? Someone drugged me? Why can't I remember any of it?" Mika reassured him, "Don't force yourself. I'll remember it for you."
Luka nodded and looked at her, "It's good you're here. Last thing I remembered I was hugging you and we were talking about something. I don't remember anything after that. I'm sorry." Mika shook her head, "It's my fault, I shouldn't left you alone. How are you feeling?" Mika placed her hand on his shoulder.
"My head feels dizzy and light-headed. A bit of pain here and here, I'll be better if I sleep a bit more. Can you stay with me?" Lukas wouldn't let go of Mika's hand.
"I won't leave. I'll watch you until you sleep." Mika told him as he slowly fell asleep again.
Two days later after observation, Lukas and Mika went back home. The side effect of the drugs was gone but Lukas still felt weak and tired. She brought him upstairs to his bed.
"Mika, I wanted to tell you some---" Lukas got interrupted by Mika's phone. She apologized and went out of the room, "Hello? Anthony? Lukas just got out of the hospital. He's doing fine. No worries. I'll let you know if something comes up. Okay, bye." She went back into the bedroom and told Lukas, it was a phone call from Anthony.
"Anthony? My brother? Why did he call?" Lukas asked.
"He was asking how you were doing. I said you were fine. I didn't want him to be worried." Mika replied. Lukas pulled Mika close to him, "Enough about my brother, what I want now is you." Lukas leaned closer to her and he wanted to kiss her. Mika's heart beat was faster than before but she stayed still until she felt his lips touching her lips. This time, her feeling was a bit different.
"Lukas..." Mika didn't know why but she craved his touches. Lukas held her waist and he loved her smooth skin. He kissed her until both of them took off their clothes.
The feeling felt like being intoxicated and the pleasure felt endless.
Both of them laid on bed and Mika looked at Lukas' sleeping face. But, she noticed something was off, Lukas had a fever. No wonder he was acting weird, she thought. Mika dressed into her pajama and she brought a cold towel to clean his sweat.
Few days later, Lukas was feeling better than before. He went to work with Mika and everyone welcomed them back. David followed them into the office.
"Mika, can you stay in your office? David and I need to talk about something." Lukas smiled at her and she nodded.
"Boss, how are you feeling? Did you tell her about your condition?" Lukas shook his head, "I don't want her to get worried. Even though I do need something from her, I don't want to force her." David took a deep sigh of relief, "When are you getting treatment?" Lukas shook head again, "I'm feeling fine. I don't need it, I hate hospitals." David persuaded him to go for treatment, "You look very pale, have you eaten anything yet?"
"I wasn't too hungry but I did eat a few bites. Can you get my medication? Lukas asked. David sighed and took out the pills from Lukas' jacket.
"You can't hide it from her forever." David said and Lukas shooed him again, "I'm fine. I'm totally fine."
"Okay, I'll leave. Should I call Mika in?" David replied.
"Let her in." Lukas waved him good bye.
"Mika, take care of Lukas. He doesn't look too well." David puts his hand on her shoulder, "He can be stubborn, make sure he gets enough rest." Mika nodded, "No worries."
When she went in to Lukas' office, he was going over all the reports. She went aside and made him so warm tea.
"Here you go, don't overwork yourself." Lukas smiled and held her hand, "I can't concentrate if you're here. I'll go find you after I'm done." Mika gave him a forehead kiss and went out to her office.
Some hours passed and it was past lunch time, she checked on Lukas who was still working hard. I'll get him something to eat, she thought. Before she heads out, she heard a loud crashing sound.
"Lukas?" She went in and saw Lukas on the floor.
"Lukas? Lukas? Where are you hurting?" Mika held onto Lukas and helped getting up.
"My head hurts all of a sudden. I was going to find you but..." Lukas closed his eyes as he felt better that way. Mika embraced him, "You were working too hard. Let's take a rest, okay?" Lukas nodded and slept on Mika's legs, "This feels better." Mika played around his hair, "Take a good rest, I'll work on the rest.
