Chapter 4 - Genikòs

"Genikòs?" The princess had heard that whinny only once before. Her father's horse Genikòs had been a paint horse and was very hard to control. King Marcus had had been the only person that could ride Genikòs. Genikòs/Γενικός meant General in greek. He had the loudest whinny in the whole War Camp. Princess Katalyne had been looking for her own horse. She HAD to find a Percheron as that was the 'royal breed'. Genikòs was a paint horse, the only pure paint horse in or around the camp. Katalyne asked why she couldn't get a Thoroughbred and the king and the servants, even the stable hands insisted on her getting a Percheron.

When the princess heard the whinny she thought, 'Could it be him? No, it can't be. He's dead.' When she arrived at the riding hall, she didn't see the black horse with white blotches on his back. This horse didn't even have Genikòs's white hair. This one was as wild but his black coat had buckskin blotches on his back, face, and a buckskin 'sock' up to his knee. This was Genikòs's son.

Agrio.

Agrio was standing over Katalyne's best friend, Clara. He'd been the first horse to buck her off, ever. He had a murderous look in his eyes, but he didn't hurt Clara. He just turned and started running all over as if gloating that no one could tame him. Katalyne instinctively ran over to Agrio before he could hurt Clara, and grabbed his halter and said, "Genikòs calm down."

"Who the Hell is Genikòs?!" Agrio asked the strange girl, "I'm Agrio!"
