"Genikòs must be your father," she said to him calmly. Agrio snorts confusedly. "You look like him," Katalyne explains, as if understanding that he was confused.
Agrio flinches as she goes to pet his muzzle. No other person at the camp had ever been kind to him since he became turned 1. Katalyne could tell that he was uncomfortable with the saddle on, so she led him to the side of the ring and took off his saddle, leaving only the bridle. "Princess are you sure?" Clara asks her, genuinely concerned for her wellbeing.
"Yes Clara, I'm sure. If this horse is anything like his father, he'll surely allow me to pat his back in the least."
"O-ok," Clara responds. "How do you know who his father is?"
"Well look at him, do you not see the resemblance?" The Princess had known Genikòs well until he'd left a month after Agrio arrived. Genikòs had run away 2 and a half years prior and they'd assumed that the horse was dead, as they'd never seen him again. The Black and White Paint horse's eyes were pitch black; darker than a cloudy night under a new moon, and his white hair, the complete opposite of his eyes.
Katalyne releases Agrio to run in the ring and let some energy out.
A few minutes later Agrio approaches the princess calmly and peacefully, which shocked everyone when the normally hostile equine nuzzled his head against the Katalyne's cheek.
Agrio lifts his leg like a foot rest for Katalyne to get on his back. Princess Katalyne takes the hint and mounts the horse. She leads him out of the ring and starts to head towards the palace.
Soon enough, the peaceful ride to the palace was interrupted by Luke and his obnoxious horse Màtia. Màtia and Agrio were not really friends, as Màtia would never stop talking and Agrio often complained that his eyes stared into his soul. You see Μάτια means 'eyes' in Greek and the stallion had his mother's multicolored eyes that sometimes looked gold, amber, sky blue (like Agrio's), sea green, or even red at times. The two never got along and Agrio was often hostile towards Màtia so he did his best not to spook, and scare the princess when Luke and Màtia raced by.
