• Present Day •
"Luke! Quit it!"
He stares at her with his striking emerald green eyes, grinning from ear to ear.
The princess pats Agrio's back and the two continue on towards the palace. "Oi mate! Where you headin'?" Màtia calls out to Agrio.
"None of your business," he replies. Since the princess showed up a few minutes ago, Agrio was calmer, though something didn't sit well in his stomach.
"Hey," Màtia repeats.
The thoroughbred kept taunting Agrio, his multicolored eyes now seemed to glow gold.
Agrio kept walking until Màtia hit a nerve.
"I bet your dad wouldn't walk away from a fight. Kinda like your mum would." Màtia stopped talking when Agrio stopped, fuming.
Against Katalyne's wishes, Agrio turned to face Luke and his annoying horse.
"Agrio! Agrio what's going on? What are you doing?!" Katalyne protested unable to stop Agrio.
As Màtia's eyes dimmed to amber as Agrio's eyes burned down to black like his father, his ears pulled straight back. He but Luke's shirt collar and pulled him to the floor. "What the Heck?" he says.
Then, Agrio rears up in front of Luke and throws Katalyne onto him, knocking them both down to the grass.
"Luke! You're bleeding!" The princess points out.
"It's just a scratch," he insists pulling Katalyne's hands away from the new gash on his forehead going through his right eyebrow. The blood stained his sandy blonde hair. The blood trickled down his freckle stained nose. "Agrio! How could you?!"
Agrio snorts loudly before turning to Màtia. He rears up and before he could react, Agrio bit Màtia in the neck. "Damn!" Màtia yells. Which to Luke and Katalyne sounded like a very shrill whinny of pain.
"That's for my family." Agrio snorts.
Luke gets up quickly and ties Màtia's reins to a nearby post. And runs over to an enraged Agrio looking at Màtia like wounded prey. Luke grabs Agrio quickly before he could do any more damage and wipes the blood off his forehead. Katalyne follows after him and tells him, "You should go to the physician and get that checked out."
Luke doesn't say anything while trying Agrio to a post opposite of Màtia. "Luke, please say something."
"What would you like me to say?" Luke responds, "This horse just threw me off my horse - somehow; bucked you off like he did Clara - an experienced rider. Then while I am on the floor he attacks Màtia. What will your father say!"
Katalyne stares at the grass. " Please don't tell my dad," her light brown eyes tear up as she pleads to Luke not to tell her father. when she looks up she glances at the fresh wound on Luke's face and says:
"Please."
