On one side where Alleyn and Amanda strenuously worked and prepared everything for their trip, on the opposite, Aaric was busy persuading Sasha to get ready for their trip.
"Hey! Good Morning. How are you feeling today? Better than yesterday?" Aaric sat down opposite to her on the chair and handed her water and medicines.
Hearing those one after the other questions, Sasha lifted her head to look into his dark eyes before taking her medicines from him. Then, after she handed him the glass back she replied in a soft and low voice.
"Yeah.. I am feeling better than yesterday."
"Well then that is really good." Aaric sighed in relief when he heard her reply. But then suddenly something popped up and made him worried. He thought to himself. 'She spoke in such a low voice. Then does it mean that her throat still hurts?'
Looking at his worried and pale face, she got tensed too. She knitted her eyebrows and asked him in a worried tone.
"Are… are you okay?"
On hearing her voice filled with worrying emotions for him, his face blossomed like a spring. He quickly shook his head vigorously and replied,
"No no, I am absolutely fine! See I am fine. Don't be tense." Aaric quickly stood up and jumped a few times. When he realised that just now he did something childish, he cleared his throat awkwardly and sat down again.
Sasha was earlier confused by his behaviour but when she saw his embarrassed face, she could not help but smile a bit. Unknown to her these few changes were caught by that person's sharp eyes. Looking at her smiling face that blossomed just like a beautiful flower was of no match with anything else.
While Aaric was enjoying such a beautiful scenery, suddenly his phone which was on the dressing table started ringing. He teared off his gaze reluctantly and angrily swiped off the answer button.
Before he could speak or greet, a manly voice came from the other side. Since he was too annoyed to look at the caller ID before picking up the call so on hearing a familiar voice, he quickly realised the caller and the reason behind the call.
"Hey! Are you listening?" When Alleyn did not hear any reply to his question, he asked again to confirm if his voice was reachable on the other side of the phone or not.
"Yeah… I am there. Well.. um.. Are you both ready? I mean everything prepared?"
"Yes! Ofcourse. I just told you. Don't tell me you have not asked her about this?"
"Just give me five minutes. No stay on call and let me ask her."
Aaric quickly placed that phone away from his ears and looked at the person sitting in front of him. Hesitantly, he told him about their gathering.
"Last night Alleyn said that a change in environment will be very good for your health and will help in your recovery. So we have planned that both the families could spend time with each other at the beach side. Don't worry Amanda will also be there to accompany us. She is the wife of Alleyn and one of your best friends. She was very excited to meet you yesterday but due to excess workload she could not come." Aaric explained to her briefly about their plan so that she would not feel hesitant.
But still looking at her face which was full of hesitation and reluctance to go on the trip, he was afraid that she would decline so he quickly spoke one sentence which later made him blushed and realised that this was not the right time to speak.
"Don't worry. I will be there with you every time." Aaric spoke without thinking twice. Later when he realised what words did he just spilled out, made it difficult for him to look into her eyes.
'She already sees me as a stranger right now and now this sentence. Augh!! Can't I just dig a hole here and get inside.'
While Aaric was scratching his head awkwardly and thinking of a way to cease this awkwardness he created, Sasha's voice interrupted his thoughts.
"Alright… I will go and get ready." Before Aaric could register what she said, Sasha had already walked inside the dressing room.
"Hello… Hello, Aaric! You there?" Alleyn's voice sounded from the phone.
Hearing Alleyn's voice, Aaric jolted back to his senses and replied hurriedly.
"Yes, yes! She agreed. We are coming!!" Aaric was too happy that while speaking he was grinning and smiling ear to ear.
"Yeah. I heard her too! Why are you jumping so wildly? Don't think that I could not hear anything. I heard every part of your sentence and that one too... Well do you want me to recall that last line of yours? Mmm.. What was that? Yeah, something, don't worry.."
"Damn! You.." Before Aaric could curse his friend, Alleyn had alreday ended the call and was laughing out loud inside his car, thinking about his friend's reaction.
"Why don't you share it with me?" Suddenly, Amanda's voice sounded from the back side while she was placing few bags on the back passenger seat.
"What should I share?" Alleyn asked confusedly.
"The joke which is making you laugh so hard."
"Ah.. It was not a joke. Sit and place the seat belt. I will explain you on the way."
