By the time, Sasha came out from the bathroom, it was already two in the afternoon. She looked all around the room but could not find Aaric. She thought that he might have gone downstairs, so she decided to wait for him. She wanted to talk to him about certain things and how she should adapt to her life in her current state. As she was engulfed in her train of thoughts, suddenly a cold breeze came inside the room through the balcony door.
She looked towards the door and saw it was slightly opened. She went out and stood there while her hands rested on the railing. She sighed softly as she glanced around. Nothing seems familiar to her. After waking up whatever she saw was unfamiliar to her. Even she herself doesn't feel familiar. She doesn't know who she is. Doesn't know the people around her. Such a feeling of insecurity!
No one would understand the feeling of hopelessness unless they are in her spot. She did not know how her life was before this. And nobody was willing to answer her questions. Could anyone be as pitiful as her? She could not understand why she had to pay such a big price in her life. There was a hint of loneliness in her eyes.
As the soft breeze was blowing, it made her dark flocks to swirl around with the breeze. At least, here she was feeling a bit light headed, or maybe as she thought to everything, she was confident from inside that she could survive this storm.
She looked at the beautiful scenery ahead and then looked towards the green backyard. In the wonderful daylight, Aaric was wearing a white shirt and black pants, sitting on a chair and reading some documents. On the tea table beside him, there was a red mug of coffee. Sometimes he was sipping on the mug. As the silent breeze was blowing, his black hair was also flowing. His dark eyes were focussed on the papers. The whole environment and view was serene. There was a Golden Retriever breed dog, sleeping near his master's foot.
Sometimes Aaric would rub his head affectionately or else he would climb up on his legs to get attention from his master. There were other servants, some of them were working in the field while others were busy cleaning around.
All of a sudden, Aaric turned his head and looked upwards. But still Sasha had her eyes fixed on him. He smiled and waved at her, but still she could not come out from the reverie of thoughts.
He coughed multiple times, which made Sasha to come back to her real self. She glanced at him who was looking back at her with a smile. Her heart seemed to be melted at that warm smile. How much she wished right now, that she should get her memories back, at least not for herself but just for him.
Then suddenly her mind wandered into a negative thought. 'What if he is the one who is behind these schemings? No it does not make any sense. Why would he do that? And even if he did, then why the hell he saved me? I am thinking too badly, if I keep on doubting his warm intentions it will ruin his such a good reputation off from my mind.'
Aaric observed every short behaviour and changes in her expression while she was mulling over a few discussions that were going inside her head. From looking with a loving gaze, which almost made him froze on the spot. He thought that she suddenly got her memory back when he smiled at her. Then again this thought easily got swiped out as soon as he saw her frowning face which later turn into her normal expression. He could not understand what was going inside her head. He wanted to ask her whether something was troubling her or was she feeling unwell, but when he saw her normal expression he sighed in relief. He was getting worried over nothing. Before Sasha could ask him if he could come up, Aaric suddenly asked her to come down from the side staircase.
Sasha glanced around the balcony and saw a small door at the corner which had stairs followed ahead. She quietly pulled up the lock and swiftly placed it back, once she got outside. She strode carefully as it just rained and was a bit slippery. Aaric was worried that she might slip, so he quickly ran over to her to hold her hand. Carefully, he helped her to reach the backyard. He grabbed a nearby chair and asked her to sit down.
Then he pulled his chair too and sat with her. He took out a packet from the down shelf of the table. He thought that he would ask her first whether she would like to have coffee or tea.
"What do you want? Coffee or tea?"
"Coffee." Sasha did not reply instantly. She glanced at his mug and from the colour she thought that it might be coffee which she drank last night.
