Alex was extremely tired and beat, to say the least as he dragged the dead body of the leopard back to the village through a long and grueling process of dragging the corpse through the forest's outer edge. It was hard to drag the body because it was heavy first off and Alex could only use one arm to its fullest so he had to drag it with a lot of difficulties. One of those difficulties was dragging it on the forest floor since it was not like a paved path or anything like that the body would end up getting caught constantly on tree roots and other things causing Alex to stop and get rid of them before continuing once again.
Still, the smell of blood permeated through the air making Alex queasy and sick at first but gradually he got used to the smell and paid little attention to it. It took a little over an hour to bring the corpse back to the village after killing it and by then it was around three in the afternoon. Of course, people would naturally notice a beaten and battered person dragging behind them the corpse of a beast from the forest so Alex drew attention even though he came to the training field since it was the closest thing from the forest and village.
People started gathering around him and asking questions about what was happening but before he could say anything Alex fell to the ground dead tired as a screen popped up in front of him.
Stamina: 0/75
...
Alex woke up looking at the ceiling of a hut as he was lying on the ground sleeping. At first, Alex was confused as to why he was here and why his body felt sore and tired before like a dam bursting the memories of what transpired from fighting and killing the beast, dragging back its corpse, and then falling unconscious as so as he arrived in the village. These memories played back in Alex's mind a bit as he got used to the feeling of his sore body and reflecting on how he could have done better before slowly sitting up.
He was glad to see that this was his own hut this time that he woke up instead of Sheila's like when they got drunk and accidentally memory wiped by the old man. Alex's body was supper sore and he felt tired as well but then again that makes sense as he fought for his life and had to drag a beast that was as heavy as a car over a distance that seemed to be about 2 miles through uneven terrain with one arm.
Still, Alex was quite glad this was over because now he could reap the benefits of killing a beast that was six more levels above him. This was nice as Alex opens up his system to take a look at his status.

Of course, killing the beast allowed Alex to level up quite a bit so he was happy that he had made some gains by dragging the beast as he gained a few points without leveling up, but to level up one more time Alex would need to kill another level ten beast at least. Still, one thing that Alex was a bit confused by was the power status since he had no idea what it was capable of doing or what exactly he could do to improve it he would just be leaving it for now since the system was not one for giving out answers and trust me he tried asking questions.
Closing the system status screen Alex reflects on the fight he had and tries to come up with ways to improve himself if need be for fighting in the future. One of the best things he could utilize would be the systems inventory space which he could put certain items inside such as weapons and other items inside. Now he could not put a planet in there... probably as he knew that this inventory had to have some sort of limit to what could be held inside and what was allowed in. Naturally, people would not be allowed inside but there were some exceptions like grass, dirt, and other things that he touched and was able to place inside.
So with the system inventory, he could keep extra weapons on hand as backups in case the one that he is using gets destroyed or is unavailable like in the fight with the Leopard when it destroyed his club while his dagger was in its eye. Another thing that Alex needed to pay attention to was his health as he did not want to be on the edge of death every time he fought something he wanted to make sure that he would not be meeting death again anytime soon.
So with that, he wanted to increase his health and get stronger to make sure that he would be unbeatable at least on this planet until the Kull civilization finds this planet or until whatever organization that came here before returns. Of course, the sun would go missing during some period of time in between now and then so Alex would have to try and survive until then by getting stronger and hopefully developing this planet's civilization to get it propelled forward out of the stone age at least.
Alex had no experience of how to make certain objects from the future as that would be impossible for him as he was only a history teacher but with the knowledge of the past in this brain of his he would be able to take advantage of it to gain all sorts of stuff from the past that others took before. Now was this right? No, it was not, but Alex did not want to have his very existence to be wiped away from reality so he planned to at the very least attempt to live in the past and get stronger to try and complete the stupid life mission.
Now, this was going to be hard as the Universe is a big ever-expanding place that is constantly being explored and developed by the countless races that live within it. Naturally, there would be powerful beings and existences that could destroy a planet with just a sneeze and Alex would have to try and conquer the whole universe so of course, Alex was not happy with having to potentially fight them in the future.
Still, Alex had a long way to go before he could do anything of the sort so he dismisses those thoughts as he moves to leave the hut and check what is going on outside.

There was a popular subject going around the internet of the new application of fully immersive VR. VR is one of those things that people want to enjoy with the best currently being strapping a headset to your face while using some controllers to control a virtual character that you can only share vision with and nothing else like pain, taste, or smell. Even then the graphics were janky with not that many of the games being interesting or particularly fun to play. However that all changed recently with a random company from out of the blue claimed that they were close to completing the first fully immersive VR system.
The company was called Imagine which was a small group of brilliant individuals who were working on the idea of creating a fully immersive VR headset which was named the VRIG. People did not really like that name so they just called it the VRI for short.
The VIRG stands for Virtual Reality Immersion Gear but VRI sounded better and the name stuck as it rolled off the tongue.
With the claim made by the Imagine company, many investors started to pitch in with helping with the companies research as they proved the effectiveness of the gear through live test runs during interviews and other events where people could test the product for free for a limited time. Now as for why the VRI was not on market yet was because there was no game yet to play along with a few bugs that needed to be fixed within the VRI to make the experience as seamless as and realistic possibilities for the people.
Still even with this everyone was eagerly waiting for the first fully immersive VR game to come out along with the headset to allow them to play and experience a new world without the worry of death. The Imagine company became a major company in less than a night with the entire business expanding to over a hundred times bigger than before with the employees that were barely getting by now being able to buy mansions and luxury villas from the increase of paychecks.
Still, they needed to make a game and improve the VRI so that they can reap even more benefits and they come up with a release date for the public for the release of the VRI headset and the release of the first game. The total time would be 5 years at the least to get the game into its beta testing stage and get the VRI fixed.
People were excited for the beta because they all knew that to test the game they are going to need players and Imagine said that the beta testing stage will be open for the public with a free headset and game for taking part. People were eagerly praying and waiting for a chance to be the first to enter the VR world.
...
Alex had no clue about the release of information about Universe to the people but even if he knew he would not know that time flowed differently between the world. Five years would be some thousands of years in the game as the game time was slowed down to allow players the chance to live and play their own way for whatever type of player.
Still, Alex had to complete the life quest before the game was released to the public so once the beta was released he would have a lot less time to deal with the life quest.
As Alex left the hut he was able to see that he drew a lot of attention and that it was not about mid-afternoon showing that he had at the very least slept for a whole day but seeing how the systems quest did not tell him he failed then he could only hope and assume that he had only been asleep for a day and no longer. Soon some people approached him and asked how he was doing after the whole passing out thing and dragging the beast incident. Alex told the people that asked that he was fine and asked where Sheila was or the old man.
Alex was told that the old man was doing his afternoon lesson with the village children while Sheila was out with the hunter trainees in the forest. Hearing this Alex bolts to the training field away from the village only to see that the normally filled weapon racks were practically empty of gear with only two of the worst stone daggers were left. Even Alex hated them because they were old so they were close to breaking still Alex can not complain as he has to hurry up to the group to make sure that he does not fall behind with the other hunters to make sure that he can still hunt more and hopefully beat them and complete the quest
So Alex grabs one of the daggers and places it into his inventory before taking hold of the second one and running into the forest to catch up to Sheila and the others. Along the way, though Alex is filling up his inventory with rocks and small branches to use in case he loses his daggers or needs them for something. Alex fills up half of his inventory before stopping and focusing and finding out where everyone is.
Eventually, Alex finds what he assumes to be their trail and follows behind them while blundering through the forest with the grace of a tornado while also being as quiet as one.
