Let's lay the scene here. Alex is running towards the blue flower in the middle of the clearing in the hopes that he would be able to snatch it before the monster that was guarding the thing got Alex while Sheila was trying her best to slow down the monster as best she could from the other side of the clearing. Now this monster was barreling towards Alex at breakneck speed to prevent him from getting in contact with the flower which the monster has been guarding for a good... well let's just say quite a long time.
Alex knew that if he stopped or hesitated for even a second then he would be dead before he knows it since this thing was giving Sheila a hard time Alex was sure that he would be obliterated easily before he could blink. Adrenaline had already kicked in allowing him to run faster but still even with his head start from jumping into the clearing both he and the monster come face to face at the flower.
Time seems to freeze for a second as Alex stares into the abomination in front of him. Then as if someone hit play on the setting they both move with Alex ducking and diving for the flower which is practically at his feet. If Alex was going through all of this just to gain a single flower on some primitive planet then he would have to question a lot of his morals for risking his life.
Alex dived however before he could even make any distance towards the flower one of the legs of the monster crushes Alex into the ground while an audible cracking sound is heard.

Pain
That was all that Alex was feeling right now as his vision swam around him with his consciousness fading in and out as the pain was too much and his body was trying to make him pass out. Still, Alex knew if he passed out he would not be waking up again due to the monster's foot still pressing down on him.
The weight pressing down on Alex is gone but Alex knew that the monster was probably going to just stomp on him and crush him to death seeing as how he was still alive and breathing. So in that little span of time Alex moves his head a little through the pain and looks at the flower in front of him that almost looked like it was taunting him as it was literally directly in his face. It was a wonder how in the world that Alex did not accidentally crush it when the monster stomped on him like a certain plumber would when battling evil for a princess in a retro online game. Still, Alex had to try to live cause after all he did not come back from death just to be squashed by a monster that had feet bigger than a person's torso.
So Alex tries moving his right hand towards the flower at the very least to touch it and get the systems analysis at the very least.
The monster after having stomped Alex like one would do an insect lifted its leg once more to finish the job but before the leg could come down it was tackled from behind by Sheila which prevented Alex from being crushed by the monster as it instead smashes the ground right next to him. The monster throws off Sheila seeing how she was being more a nuisance than the meat bag underneath him. Sheila gets thrown off the monster which then looks down to finish the job with Alex. However, when it looked down it froze in confusion seeing that Alex was no longer there and all that there was, was just the silhouette of Alex's body in the ground with the flower emitting a faint light which was now dimming.
The monster still confused decides to look back at the only remaining target in the clearing, Sheila, and they restart their fight once more with renewed vigor.

Alex was somewhere. That much was obvious with the fact that he was no longer in the clearing in the forest but was now in some strange white space. He got here after he touched the flower and was brought here and had no idea where here was. He was still bleeding out and probably about to die as a result of blood loss if he was not treated soon.
'So this is how I will die?' Alex thinks to himself as his vision starts to darken before it brings him fully into its embrace.

Sheila was running through the forest out of the clearing as a result of her being overwhelmed by the thing in the clearing. She did not know what happened to Alex, but all she could do was hope that he was fine or someplace wounded but alive. She did see him get stomped but she did not see what happened to him afterward, besides the stomping, she did see a flash of light coming from him but she did not know whether or not he lived or died. She was saddened at the thouhgt that he might be dead but there were no other feelings for him or anything like that, it was more like a motherly relationship where he acted as a newborn baby and she was the mother that needed to be there to teach him.
Still, she had to remain hopeful that he was fine after all he had done some pretty impressive things so far so he might do something else if he really is as impressive he had been so far with his adventures with the forest thus far.
'Wait a minute it seems a bit quieter than usual' Sheila thinks
She had been moving back to the village as quick as possible while hiding her tracks and backtracking to make sure that nothing happened if the monster decided to follow her back to the village. She did not really think that it would not follow her after she attacked it but it would not follow her so she was just wasting time, but she did not know that. Still, as a result of going through all this trouble, she was able to see what was happening in the forest now that Alex was not leading the way she realized how quiet things were in the forest.
Usually, there would be the sound of birds the rustling of bushes and trees from animals going about their lives but now that Sheila notices these things are not there she stops what she was doing and looks around.
It was dead quiet with not even the wind moving throughout the forest. It was strange that a forest that once seemed to be so full of life was now empty and silent. It brought a chill to Sheila as she looked around but soon she moves on back to the village to report that something is wrong in the outer area of the forest.

Alex woke up this time instead of there being white all around him, he was in a room on a real bed this time instead of some mat on the floor of a straw hut. Seeing how he was not dead and was someplace unknown he tries sitting up to look around, however, no matter how hard he tries cannot move. A numbing feeling had overcome him which prevented his body from moving over him so he was forced to just stare up from where he lay at the cream colored ceiling that showed that Alex was no longer in the white area that he first appeared in when he touched the flower in the clearing.

'About a day and a half huh?' Alex thinks seeing the time limit and how it was counting down
Still Alex could do nothing about it but only be happy that he was alive for now and be left to think to himself and figure out where he was. There was one thing that stuck out to him which was the notification that he got when he touched the flower back in the clearing before he was brought here to this place.

That was what appeared when Alex touched and used the systems identification feature to find out what in the world this thing was and he hoped to know why this thing intrigued him so much. However the thing was Alex did not know why he was brought here or how for that matter. Another thing was how was he healed cause he had not seen or heard from anyone else since he woke up so that made Alex a bit worried for a number of reasons.
"Hello..." Alex says in a weak voice trying to see if there is someone or something nearby that he can ge the attention of to try and get some answers.
'You are awake?' A voice says
Alex tries to look around with his eyes from the bed since he heard the voice ring out from somewhere but he could not determine where from.
'I am not in the room with you' The voice says once more
"Who are you?" Alex says with a raspy and weak voice
'Of course you ask that but do not expect to receive any answers now as you must rest' The voice responds

Alex felt extremely tired with his eyelids growing heavy before he closes his eyes and falls fast asleep.
