After their dinner, the couples went to the beach to have a night swimming. Hyena and Lan left alone in the cottage, cleaning the dishes they used. "Mind helping me washing these dishes, Hyena?" Lan asked smiling to Hyena. "Sure, bro." Hyena brought the dishes to the house. Together with Lan, Hyena enjoyed doing the chores. "Can we talk after this, Lan? She asked without looking at him, continuing washing the dishes. "Of course, sweetie." He said. "What an endearment." They both laughed at it.
When they finished doing the dishes, they fixed their bagages and also the room they are going to sleep in, later. Likewise, Lan had cleansed Hyena's wound. He was handling it with care. Not wanting to hurt her. "Don't you want to swim with them, sweetie?" Lan asked. "No, I want to talk to you." "Where exactly?" He teased. "Right here." Hyena uttered. "What do you want to talk about?" Lan invited Hyena to sit beside him in the couch so she did. "You mentioned ealier that Dale knows this place quite well for I don't know the reason is. Might I know the reason?" She questioned him, hoping for him to answer her. "Are you all ears?" Lan muttered. "Yes bro." She excitedly turned to him. "Alright then." He said.
"The reason is just simple. It is a place where Leila and Dale used to date. You know, see each other everytime they go here." Hyena did not get it well. "So? Why did you 'nevermind' me ealier?" She curiously mentioned. "Their relationship is slowly cooling down. It ain't warm as before. It all started when Leila went abroad pursuing her adventure will. Six months ago, she left Dale without letting him know. Dale just woke up all by himself." Lan paused. "Then, Leila appeared in front of him like a magician who will appear whenever she wanted to."
Hyena felt sad about the lover's story. "They have been together for four years now, but lately Dale is being distance with Leila. Notice it, they did not even go there but rather only my poor bro went there by himself." Lan sadly stated. "Why, Leila did not went there with him?" Hyena asked. "Because of pride." Lan said. Finally, Hyena understand the story. "Now, it is clear to me. Thank you, Lan. Thank you for trusting me." She hugged him while caressing his back. Lan likewise, hugged her back. "Sure thing, sweetie. I know I can trust you, cause you are my sweet little dearie." He planted a kiss on her forehead and on her cheeks.
Claps from the doorway rang Hyena and Lan's ears. "Lan you did not tell me you are this sweet to my girlfriend's dearest friend." Nick teased. "Of course, man. She deserve it." Lan said staring at Hyena, smiling. "Oh my dear Hyena, don't let yourself fall in-love with that guy. You'll just hurt yourself." Monic snapped. "Man of every girl." Dale snapped too. "So take care, Hyena." Leila warned. "You guys, knock it off already. You're hurting my bro's pride." Hyena contradicted. "Bro?" They altogether stated. "Yes, from now on, Hyena is my dearest sister. So treat her well or else y'all be dead." Lan held Hyena in his arms boasting her in front of their friends. "Cheesy." Hyena said.
"Cut the crap peeps. The floor is already wet." Monic said pointing on the wet floor. "You guys better change your clothes there." Lan suggested imprisoning Hyena in his arms. The couples went to the room where their bagages were located and changed their clothes. "When do you plan on releasing me from your arms, Lan?" Hyena asked Lan looking up at him. "Till I want no more." He said. "And when is that?" She asked. "Never." Hyena giggled in his answer. "You know what, you look more beautiful when you smile, sweetie." Lan informed her. "Shall I smile often to look more beautuful and attractive?" Lan nodded and tickled her. Hyena felt the tickling sensation, so she searched for Lan's tickling side and tickled him too. They both were laughing so deeply. Not until, Nick sat down between them.
"Enough already. You guys look like a couple who had not seen each other for so long." Nick cut off. The atmosphere inside the house changed. It became gloomy. Lan, Nick, Hyena and Monic looked at Dale and Leila who happened to speak nothing but to be frozen in their position. "Oh right, guys, do you feel like eating ice cream?" Hyena tried to cheer the mood up, and luckily the others did play along. "Yes I want one, dear." Monic said. "I think I saw some in the frigde." Lan said. "I'll go get it." Leila volunteered. "Sure, make it quick Leila, cause I am craving too much of it right now." Nick exaggerated acting like a crazy dog.
"I need to go to the bathroom." Hyena excused herself and went to the bathroom near the kitchen. Instead of going straight to the bathroom, she went to Leila and helped her out. "Are you okay?" She asked. "Yes of course. Why do you ask?" Leila asked back. "I just noticed that you and your guy seems so distanced to each other. Although, sometimes you talk and do physical contact." Hyena explained. "Well, actually since I came back abroad, Dale is not as sweet as before. He prefers to be alone. Well, alone without me to be precise." She sadly uttered. "Maybe he is just feeling upset." Hyena said. "Probably." "I have an idea, Leila." Hyena suggested. "What is it?" Leila asked. "Come, I'll show it to you. Watch and learn. Play along." Hyena excitedly exclaimed.
They both went back to the sala where the others were waiting. "Ice cream for everyone." Hyena joyfully offered. Each one of them took a bowl of black forest ice cream. "Mhm, this is delicious." Monic commented. While the rest nodded at her. "Guys, why don't we play a game?" Hyena suggested.
"What kind of game Hyena?" Nick questioned. "Spin the bottle. Whoever this bottle's peak turn to, have to confess something to someone here, with us." Hyena explained. "Interesting." Lan approved.
