When we got new cards for quests we went outside to talk at the small inn we had been sleeping at. They had good and decent prices for their dranks and foods and it was noon so most were going to do quest leaving ot mostly empty. Castle had us all order first before he started to talk about the most important thing, money.
Finally Castle stood up and started to talk, " We were able to finish three quests this time the first being slaying of Demonically infected spiders and black wolves twenty in total. This played us a total of 1000 silvers so we will split getting 200 each with 200 going for supplies and inn cost.
The second quest was for herbs which rewarded us another 500 silver we will split it five ways because Rose was a big help in its completion. No, I made the decision don't want to hear any complaints Cinder. The last quest was for the big fully infected demonic boar which we didn't apply for. But that's the core we retrieved after its death from the big bad whatever that killed it. We were granted half the reward for it. A whopping 5000 silvers because it was a B ranked quest we should have died from it sense we are only D ranked. We will also split this with Rose."
"Hell no, we rescued her and even brought her to safty, if anything she owes us money. On top of that she's infected, we should have just left her there she could just turn any time and kill us all. She needs to leave preferably even from this town, you all know that as well. Shes marked and will be killed soon enough and we need to be far away from her when it happens."
Rose bowed her head downward and said "It's fine, if I can just get money for the herbs. I don't want to bring you all any trouble now or in the future. I really appreciate all you have done for me I would have rotted in that cave without all your help." "No, I am guild leader and without her distracting that beast we would all have died. She led it to that tree and climbed to safety, shekept it there till it was killed. Yes she did faint but she managed to keep us alive and lead us to its core as well." Castle shouted.
"We are not cowards afraid of everything, we are adventurers and the guild master gave her a card so now she is one of us. Wendy can you take her to the church to see if her bite marks can be healed before they become marks and start corrupting her soul. Dingo can you go ask the guild master what we can do to help Rose if she can't be healed.
Cinder go somewhere and cool your head for a bit go shopping," then Castle handed us each a sack of silvers to use and we went to do as he asked. As we were leaving I saw Dingo turn an whisper something to Castle, he sat down he's eyes showing fear. I felt a slithering of icy fear down my back and felt as if I could never get rid of it as it added to the bubble inside me.
We made it to the church with no problems but when we showed aome of the bites to the Priest they seemed to panic some ushering out everyone while others fled to the back of the church leaving through multiple doors. FINALLY the head of the church entered he was a Deacon and the best in town for exercising demonic infestations.
The Deacon at first held his hand over the small bites which there was two of. With a string of words and blessed water It felt as if my skin was being bitten again. This ripping pain was larger then the original marks. I screamed an tried to move but others joined in holding me in place. Slowly the bite closed and tore away the demon bites, finally they let me fall to the ground as I passed out.
When I awoke the Deacon was there to explain what was happening to me," Hello, I was told your name is Rose and I am Deacon Dashes and I need to explain something to you about your marks. When a demon bites you its poisens is injected into th victim, those with a strong soul can keep this poisen at bay until it can be exercised like I did earlier.
Some one or something can also kill the evil demonic being weakening its essense and allowing the soul to push out the infection. However the stronger demonic beings marks can not be exercised and then only its death offers salvation. The victims however will over time be corrupted and become a demon itself. I was able to destroy two of your lesser marks, but that leaves eight demons to go.
This sadly stacks the odds against you, soon these marks will turn from bites to demonic seals, then began to infect your body and it will start to change. If you stay within the church and follow our beliefs you may fine peace and before you have to end you life still remain as a human.
This choice is your for now until the demons corruption take you over and with any act against people, it will eventually end in deaths and probably not just your own. Please think carefully about your choices before you leave not just your life is at stake but everyone around you as well.
I thought for a long while weighing my few choices and finally my mother's screams and pain as well as my own urged me to take my vengeance. I would track them and kill them one by one till I was free of these marks and in the end even if I turned it would be to kill the bastard that had stabbed my heart.
