When I hit the ground it made me see stars and made head felt as if it was throbbing getting bigger and smaller with my heartbeat. Then I heard the tapping, scurrying and scratching of tons of small creepy eight legged critters moving around. Suddenly a sharp piercing pain came from my right shoulder.
I tryed not to look, telling my brain it was just a sharp fang like stick that had fell on me from above. I used my bow to sweep it away but I was dumb enough to look it was a freaking big ads spider with my blood dripping from its fangs. It's beady, bubble eyes starred at me with evil intent and its very high pitched screeching left me feeling even more afraid then before.
I heard a voice faintly in the back of my head it said "don't worry I would let them hurt you, just relax I'll take care of it all." For some reason it seemed as if I had heard it's voice before. It was rough and hoarse as if it had been screaming for a long time. Even stranger was the fact that my body started to move on its own. Flipping the spider against the far wall of the tunnel and shooting it through its eyes, killing it dead.
Strangely it seemed as if I was faster then I even had moved before, my body seemed so much lighter, muscles stronger and even the environment seemed lighter now. I could see clearly that I had fallen into a under ground cave system. If I wasn't mistaken probably the one containing a big ass queen one.
I told my body we needed to climb out of this place quickly or I probably would be turned into a melted spider milkshacks. However it seemed my body had a different idea it placed my bow away and drew forth two exstreamly sharp silver coated daggers. In addition I dipped them into my bag of salt, then it turned towards were most of the noisy screeching was coming from.
Fear of what was happening made me black out, after that I don't know exactly what happened. When I regained consciousness I was in a largest deadend cavern and was surrounded by a huge number of spider bits and pieces. I almost fell into the blackness of unconsciousness again when I saw a huge spider queen head the size of a pig sitting cuddled in my hands.
Instead I rolled away as far as I could to vomit, the crusted mucus and broken spider legs and parts that covered my body made me dry heave once again. Slowly I managed to control the revotion to the scene of chaos around her and taking the sack gathered the multiple spider heads around her.
She stopped counting after 20 and just grab clumps from any where a head rested. After she had filled all three bags she dragged them outward and found the exit and entrance into the cave. Sunlight was streaming in, Rose wondered what had happened, did she really hear a voice and why had that person helped her.
She heard movement from outside the cave and realized that she still was in the forest where there still were demonic beasts outside waiting to kill and eat. Rose quickly placed her daggers back into her shealths and grabbed her bow. She then glanced outside and discovered a fox that was eatting leftover spider pieces. That was discusting.
Rose shouted out and the fox bounded away, how the hell was she going to get all this stuff to the quild. As she finally finished dragging the bags out of the cave she heard noises coming from the woods and they were human .
Rose was a little confused if they were friendly she could maybe get help. However if they were unfriendly they could kill her and take her stuff and just say she had attacked because she was an infected. She ducked back into the entrance and waited for them to get closer. If they looked off she would run with the queens head it was worth the most.
Finally she could hear their voices clearer and was more then happy to discover it was her old saviors. Rose quickly hollered out to them as she was trying to rub the crud off her self and her clothes on a nearby tree. Dingo who was scouting out front come springing threw the trees and grabbed her into a bearhug.
Soon the others arrived and all gave her comments about her new bug splattered look. Rose said, "very funny get it all out. All I got to say is I need help and I will never take a dumb spider quest again. I almost dies in there more times then I can count and I bearly got a antidote down before dying from their poisoning bites.
They said they had finished their quest but Dingo and Wendy were worried about her not returning the day before. So they decided to give a quick look before heading back in to turn in their quest. Cinder said she was surprised that they had not seen many demonic spider here because this area was suppose to be infested.
Rose had a big smile when she said it was, then told her tale up to the voice then created a bunch of bs for the rest so they wouldn't think bad of her. She said desperation drove her,to survive. She was still really confused about what had happened but she had not turned demonic and killed people so all good right.
With these quests done she could afford some magic books and magic lessons increasing her arsenal of weapons at hand to let her kill bigger demons. She needed to be much stronger and fast to first kill the eight that had bit her and then the big bastards that killed her mother.
Just as they were entering town, Castle made a comment about her being taller, Wendy and Cinder gasped and said they were thinking the same thing. Dingo just grunted and followed them towards the quild he didn't mention she had gained a lot more muscles too. That hug was for a reason after all. In addition her eyes were changed slightly in their shape and he bet she could see better then most in the dark now.
