Chapter 6 - Join the Guild or Not.

As they approached the guild building Rose was impressed by its size and number of outbuildings. There was separate areas which preformed different duties so we went to turn in the herbs and get the guild herb processors to sign off on them. Then to animal and proof processing where they turned in ears, furs etc. and the monster cores. After all quest cards were signed and dated we finally entered the guild main office.

Dingo flipped my hood up when we entered,so I left it up because I figured it was for some reason. Castle went to the quest turn in main counter while Dingo lead me to sign up as a adventurer. The lady behind the counter looked at me for like a second then asked for a gold coin for processing and membership.

This was easier then I thought, after handing over my coin she asked me to go to testing area in order to be set a rank. The looked at Dingo and he lead me to a small area on the far left. A man called my name and I entered through a door, but Dingo stayed behind and I felt a little scared.

I was put into a medium sized outside circular area and asked to show my skill to be a adventurer. I picked up a bow and hit several targets he had pointed too then the targets were moved further away and lastly I was asked to hit moving targets. The last part of the test was in herb and plant identification then I was asked to go to another area and wait.

Lastly a man brought forth a orb stone and ask me to touch it and close my eyes and think of a emotional time where I felt my saddest. The image of gramps dying and then my mother's torture, rape and death filled me with despair. A black color with yellow strikes of lightning flashed through the orb, a image of a grim reaper showed then the stone returned to normal.

Finally he asked me to think of my greatest happiness and my memories shifted to my grandpa teaching me the bow, of my mother helping a small child be healed. Of my father when I was really small tossing me into the air and helping me fly. The Orb divided into two half of color one flaming red and the other side sky blue.

The man filled out a card and told me to stay away from my negative emotions they would lead me into darkness, desperation and finally evil and death. I would need to cultivate my inner chi and straighten my soul against any corruptions and temptations. The card said I had the skills to perform D ranked quests, any higher ranked quest I would need to form a team till my abilities ranked up.

In addition it said I had the aptitude for fire and wind magic with a possibility of lightning reinforcing and necromancer abilities. When the counter help saw my card, she suddenly took a second look at my small underfed figure. "Wow you got quite a lot of capabilities and probably could go far, good luck young one."

"Here is a map of the nearby towns, villages and controlling kingdom as well as a map showing the town of Ashburn. It has the areas marked to where to buy skill manuals and masters that teach certain magics. In addition it shows guild affiliated blacksmiths and weapon and armour masters. The quest counter is over there, good hunting and may your adventure end well.

Dingo took my small hand and we started to then go to the quest counter to look for quests, I was scared but knew I needed to get way stronger to defeat my enemies. Rose wished she could get her new friends to help her kill the demons but didn't want them to have dragged them into her fight that would probably end in their death.

As we approached a large man stepped in front of me and shoved me back, Dingo caught me so I wouldn't fall and showed his teeth. "What you doing here corrupted? These no place for a part demon to walk in our town," he sneered. More and more people were surrounding us and Dingo growled at them and showed his claws to the crowd.

Even though Dingo was the tallest out of this group It would be too much for us, luckily the man with the stone orb came out and told them to back off. At first they just kept glaring at us but suddenly the air because electrically charged and our hair stood on end. Their eyes flashed with fear and went immediately to the man who had spoken and they started to back away.

The instigator said, " Guild Master how can you allow this marked one into our town, you know she will turn and kill as many as possible and soon. She will become more and more demonic each day, It's a mercy to kill her now while she's still human. "

"Bronko you are not guild master, it is not your decision to make and you know violence against others is not allowed within our town. As long as I Creator rules this guild you will obey our rules or leave this town no one is making you stay," stated Creator, the one who started this town and guild together with his guild mates upon retirement.

After Bronco left, Rose went to the guild master and whispered," Can I be in the guild is it really not allowed? If so I will leave my card and go I don't want to cause problems." Creator smiled and asked, "do you want to be in this guild or not that's all you need to think about." Rose looked at her card and nodded yes, and they both smiled before he returned to whatever he needed to do.

Dingo pulled her quickly to the quests while keeping a eye on a few of the remaining trouble makers. He knew they would not settle this now in the town, but outside she could have countless accidents and meet her death then no one could blame them then. He glanced, at Castle and knew he had seen it too.
