Chapter 6 - Chapter Six: Raid of the Fire Dragons

After a few days of harsh training Koji had finally mastered the Multi Dragon Clone technique without any consequences. The two decided to head back into town to relax and celebrate from the intense training they had endured. The festival was nearing its last days as the streets remained flooded with a variety of people. Tourists, locals, everyone was outside shopping, eating, dancing, having a grand time.

Koji and Yasmin had reached the town's most notorious ramen shop and decided to indulge in a nice steamy bowl of miso pork ramen with eggs. The young boy seemed so delighted as he devoured the noodles in quick haste. Yasmin watched on in astonishment, the single noodle she held within her chopsticks had slipped out back into her bowl as she watched two of Koji's clones arriving beside the young boy with bowls of ramen held within their hands. They proceeded in licking their lips in unison as they reached for the chopsticks and joined in with the original Koji. In a matter of seconds, Koji and his clones were able to finish three bowls each of ramen. The trio had leaned back against the their seat while rubbing their stomachs in unison.

"Man did that hit the spot!" Koji stated with a hefty grin.

"Were you hungry?" Yasmin asked sarcastically.

"Something like that," Koji replied while letting out a sigh of satisfaction. "Are you going to eat that?"

The question had dragged Yasmin from her thoughts as she looked down at her untouched bowl. She let out a nervous smile as she offered her bowl to Koji.

"Here you go, I suddenly lost my appetite."

"Don't mind if I do!" Koji reached for the bowl and proceeded in devouring the noodles once more. He took a second from eating to look up and see Yasmin studying the scroll they had obtained at the Fire Cavern. He watched as she traced the words of the scroll with her right fingertip. Her facial expression was calm and collected as a single strand of her hair fell from off her left ear. He watched as she traced the strand back and then lifted her gaze up towards the young boy.

She felt his stare the whole time and began wondering what was on his mind. Tempted to find out, she decided to use her powers to read Koji's thoughts while staring deeply into his eyes. Koji quickly retracted his gaze the moment their eyes had locked. He began blushing slightly as well with his heart rate increasing ever so often.

(Looks like he's figured out how to block his thoughts, I can't tell what he's thinking) Yasmin thought while offering a slight giggle (although I don't really have to read his mind to figure it out) she leaned slightly over the table closer towards Koji with her chest sticking outward and her arms folded. "What's going on in that head of yours?"

"It's nothing..." Koji stammered as he went back to finishing the bowl of ramen.

"You know it's not good to keep things to yourself all the time, if there's something you want to tell me you should say it," Yasmin gave off a slight blush as she continued to stare at the boy. The two clones that had sat at Koji's side continued to observe the conversation with folded arms, shut eyes, and nodded heads. They were both determined not to get involved in the conversation.

"I'm telling you its nothing," said Koji after finishing the last remaining bowl of ramen. He noticed Yasmin's attention was elsewhere as the young teacher stared back at the group of dancing people behind her. The music had grasp her attention momentarily then she returned her focus back on Koji.

"Hey dance with me!" Yasmin stated in a gleeful tone.

"Wait what...I...I don't know how to dance," Koji replied with lifted hands. Both of his clones nodded their head in unison with their arms still folded and their eyes still shut.

"Don't worry I'll teach you!" Yasmin grabbed Koji by the hand, disrupting his focus which allowed the clones to vanish within the flames.

She dragged Koji to the dance floor as he continued to stumble through the crowd of people with a nervous sweat running down the side of his face. Once they had finally reached the center, Yasmin placed Koji's right hand on her hip while she held his left.

"Alright now just do what I do," said Yasmin. She began leading the way while trying to teach Koji how to move with the beat of the music.

The music was too fast paced for the boy as he was shuffling his feet across the dance floor with his eyes fixed on the ground. Yasmin had stopped within her steps as she raised Koji's chin up with her right hand.

"Hey, don't focus on the floor, focus on the music...focus on me," Koji's eyes had locked onto Yasmin's as his body began moving with the beat of the music all on it's on.

His hand held firmly onto Yasmin's gyrating hip with his eyes focused only on her. She began biting her lips slightly while allowing Koji to spin her body then bring her back close to him. Their hands locked as they continued to stare into the windows of each other's soul. Yasmin's heart beat matched Koji's as the music had came to its end. People were cheering and hyping the two but they were lost in their own world.

The feelings that were being developed from their time together soon became evident as Koji slowly started to lean closer towards Yasmin's lips. Suddenly as massive roar from a dragon had startled the two as they quickly shifted their gaze upward to see a enormous fire dragon surrounded by a legion of dark dragon fiends that were the size of an average human male.

"Dragons?" Koji stated with clenched teeth as he released his hold on Yasmin.

"What are they doing here?" Yasmin commented while stepping forward past the panicking crowd.

"This could get ugly, how do you want to handle this?"

Yasmin began biting the tip of her thumb slightly as she watched the fiends descent into the town. She could feel a massive slaughter coming if she didn't act fast. In quick haste she instantly transformed into Ranshio at its first stage with the electricity bouncing off her body in various directions.

"Koji you take care of the fiends and make sure no one get's hurt in the process, I'll take care of the head honcho," said Yasmin as she glared up at the fire dragon that hovered over the town with its massive wings beating against the air. She could see no Dragon Claw amongst the ten claws of the beast. She knew this wasn't the legendary dragon she had been searching for but just an underling.

"Alright Yasmin, just be careful," said Koji as he summoned his Kunasta and instantly transformed it into the Flametongue.

"My, My, it looks like you two could use a bit of help," said the voice of Vincent. Koji's eyes sprung open wide as he turned to see Vincent standing behind him with Zack by his side. The twenty year old stood tall with a confident grin on his face. His black hair was combed up, pompadour style, and his right hand held his unique sword, The Ancient Blade. Zack, who was at the age of fourteen, stood beside his brother with his blade resting against his right shoulder.

"Vincent, Zack!" Koji stated in shock.

"Let's talk later, we'll take care of the fiends, you go stop the big guy," said Zack while ushering a slight nod.

Koji responded back with a nod of his own as he turned his attention back towards Yasmin and the fire dragon. He watched as Yasmin launched towards the beast with the stream of electricity following behind her.

The fire dragon unleashed a massive roar before drawing in its breath and unleashing the fiery flames, held within the bowels of its stomach. Yasmin quickly diverted her trajectory in an effort to dodge the scorching flamethrower. In quick haste she retaliated with a massive punch to the bridge of the dragon's nose.

The impact knocked the dragon's head back slightly, its eyes shut momentarily as it shook off the damage it endured. It's eyes sprung open suddenly as it swung its massive right claws towards the young warrior of lightning. Yasmin raised her arms in an effort to brace the impact as her body was sent downward from the strike.

Koji, who was on his way to assist, instantly caught Yasmin admist her descent. He saw the blood dripping down from the right side of her lip and forehead and instantly felt the anger swelling within him. He quickly diverted his course from the dragon to a nearby rooftop in order to check up on his master.

"Yasmin are you alright!?" He cried, watching the young girl regaining her consciousness while expressing the pain she had endured.

"I definitely didn't see that coming," Yasmin chuckled.

"You got to be more careful Yasmin," Koji commented as he watched his master return to her feet.

"Look at you worrying about little ol me" Yasmin chuckled as she looked up at the carnage that was taken place by the fire dragon.

Flames ravaged the city with numerous dragon fiends flooding the streets. Vincent and Zack continued to hold their own against the horde as their blades met with the flesh of numerous fiends that stood in their way. Vincent held out his Ancient Blade and triggered the mechanism that allowed the second blade to stretch out from the end of the handle, transforming the weapon into a double edge sword. He began spinning his blade around his body while slashing through the surrounding fiends.

Zack, in an effort to keep up with his brother rushed a group of dragon fiends that stood before him. He leapt forward, drawing out his sword, he began performing arching slashes at the group. Blood skyrocketed in various directions as the fiends remains dispersed into the darkness.

"Where the hell are all these fiends coming from!?" Vincent roared as he plunged his blade through the chest cavity of a fiend.

"There's no telling, we just got to keep holding them off as much as we can!" Zack stated as he swooped in to deflect an oncoming strike from a fiend that was directed towards an innocent bystander. He glanced back at the bystander and ordered him to run. The civilian quickly raised himself to his feet and fled deep into the town.

"Koji needs to hurry the hell up and take that dragon down!"

"Don't worry if anyone can do it, he can."

A sudden burst of energy gained both Zack and Vincent's attention as they shifted their gaze towards the left to see Yasmin gathering up her energy. The electricity that coursed through her body had consumed her as she vanished within it. The fire dragon began beating its wings against the town below creating a massive gust storm that destroyed the numerous buildings.Yasmin managed to shoot past the wind as she delivered a severe kick to the left side of the dragon's neck, halting its attack and propelling it towards the outskirts of town. She remained in the air, prepared to descend down to the nearest building, as she watched the dragon regain its composure and released a hefty flame towards her. In quick haste, she raised her arms before her in an effort to shield herself from the blast. The force of the attack was enough to push Yasmin back as her body was sent flying through numerous brick buildings.

"Yasmin!" Koji cried as he leapt towards the fire dragon "damn you!" Koji lashed out his Flametongue towards the beast who quickly answered his strike with a hefty strike of his own from his left claws. The blade of the Flametongue clashed against the ivory claw as Koji slid past the stalemate and leapt over the beast's paw. He swung hard at the dragon's skull, cutting the scales of the beast while lifting himself up in the air to perform anything massive strike towards the right eye.

The dragon snapped its teeth at Koji who quickly answered with another arching slash towards the beast's mouth. The Dragon bit down against the steel of the blade, pinning Koji for the moment. His eyes had widen momentarily as he allowed the Flametongue to disappear into the flames and summoned the Kunasta back into his hands. He swung his blade against the air, summoning the fire essences within it, he unleashed a minuscule Blaze Scar that knocked the dragon down for a brief moment.

Blood spewed from within the Dragon's mouth as it slammed it's right wing against Koji, knocking the boy back onto a nearby rooftop. He lifted his gaze up at the dragon with gritted teeth. His right knee, resting against the rooftop floor as he contemplated on his next move. He noticed a massive lightning storm taking place above as he turned his attention to Yasmin who had shot up in the sky like a bolt of lightning.

"Ranshio Bend!" Yasmin shouted with a sadistic smile upon her face. She had appeared above the fire dragon, her hands raised above her head as a massive ball of electricity resonated within them. "Bola de Rayos!!" Yasmin cried as released the lightning energy unto the fire dragon.A large uproar was unleashed from the beast as its blood began to boil inside with the electricity coursing through its body. Koji looked on to see that Yasmin's attack not being enough to finish the dragon off. He thought back at his failed attempt to unleash the Blaze Scar earlier on. With a clear head, an idea had sprung within him. He performed the necessary hand signs to summon two clones by his side.

He raised to his feet and held his blade before him with the clones standing on both sides. Their blades had met Koji's blade at the center as they raised the steel above their heads while transferring a huge quantity of fire Ranshio essences into each blade.

"This is it" Koji stated with clenched teeth as the flames coated all three swords. "Blaze Scar!" Koji, and his clones, unleashed a single massive Blaze Scar that scarred the land before him as it cycled towards the fire dragon who was still pinned and paralyzed by Yasmin's attack. The beam severed through the flesh of the beast, meeting at the chest, and ripping through the tendons.

"Not bad kid" said Yasmin as she unleashed a final burst of energy to finish what was left of the fire dragon. A pillar of lighting and fire energy consumed the dragon as it made its descent to earth. Yasmin had appeared before the dragon the moment it landed. She could see the life slowly fading from the beast's eyes as she approached it cautiously.

"I'm not done with you yet," she said with clenched teeth. "You're going to tell me where your master is," she snapped her fingers while leaning towards the dragon, sparks flying from her fingertips with each snap.

Koji had made his way towards Yasmin. He managed to show a small smile from watching Yasmin interrogate the dragon. His attention was quickly grasped by the sound of Vincent and Zack complaining behind him. He turned to face them and instantly felt the urge to greet his comrades. "Vincent, Zack!" He called out.

"Koji!" Vincent shouted as he rushed towards the young boy. They both stretched out their arms as if they we're getting ready to hug one another but then halted in their steps the moment they realized that they were still at a disagreement. Their eyes had locked momentarily then shifted around with their noses held high and their arms cross. Zack looked on with a nervous sweat running down the side of his right cheek he began chuckling slightly for he thought they had made amends. Koji began pouting out his lips slightly while shoving his hands inside his pockets and staring at the ground below him.

"Come on guys it's been nearly two weeks now," Zack whined.

"Blame Vincent for not being honest about not knowing the whereabouts of the Thunder Dragon," Koji commented.

"How many times do I have to apologize for that, I said I was sorry. Plus i'm still trying to help you find these so call Dragon Claws!"

"Oh Vincent, tell Koji what we also found out," said Zack.

"Oh yeah that's right..." Vincent commented, piquing Koji's interest. He took in a deep breath and approached Koji with a hefty smile "we got a lead, a genuine lead this time. Someone stated that they spotted a young girl with pink highlights in her hair at a nearby town. Does that ring a bell?"

"Pink highlights...it can't be..." Koji stated with wide eyes.

"Great news, I figured out the location of the Legendary Dragon Koji, we can head out and get the-" Yasmin paused in her sentence as she noticed the two strangers standing by her apprentice "who the hell are you guys?"

"Who are we? Who are you?" Zack retorted while slowly checking out Yasmin's physique.

"Vincent, Zack, this is Yasmin, my teacher. She's been training me on how to control Ranshio..." said Koji calmly. A brief moment passed before both Vincent and Zack released a massive holler.

"No wonder you didn't look for us this whole time, you was obviously preoccupied!" Vincent stated with clenched teeth.

"Damn that Koji, always getting all the girls..." Zack retorted. A stream of tears flowed through his eyes as he raised his right fist before him.

"It's not even like that guys I swear," Koji replied while waving both hands. Yasmin shifted her gaze towards Koji, her thoughts instantly retracted back to when they were on the verge of sharing a kiss. She placed her right hand against her chest as her heart started racing at the very thought of being intimate with this young boy. She quickly shook her head to get rid of those thoughts then release a slight chuckle as she leaned towards Koji.

"Oh geez Koji don't be like that, why don't you tell them about all the fun we had, especially at the spa," said Yasmin with a wink. The brothers shouted in unison their disbelief at how Koji had managed to get so close to a female such as Yasmin.

"You're not helping..." Koji stated in a nervous chuckle "she's just joking, go on Yasmin, tell them you're joking."

"Oh but Koji!" Yasmin stated while wrapping her arms around the boy, causing him to seize up with his face turning red instantly. "We had so much fun together, are you going to deny me here and now in front of your friends?" "I'm going to kill you..." Koji stated, his narrowed eyes staring deeply into Yasmin's crafty smile.
