In a region set far away from Sobal Bend City, lies a majestic cavern coated in flames. Inside the corridors of this cave reside the legendary beast that held the Dragon Claw, the Fire Dragon Eikon. The beast stood at it's humanoid form with six wings attached at it's back, three on the right, three on the left. It's scales was as red as ember and his eyes were yellow with a dark reptilian pupil. Its claws were made of ivory with the exception of one, the Dragon Claw.
The green coated adamantine claw shined as Eikon folded its bulky arms. His horns were identical to that of a ram and his jaw bone protruded outward slightly. He stood in the center of what seemed to be some kind of fire ritual with seven lanterns encompassing the circle. As the flames burned brightly, an shadowy images of various dragons appeared within each lantern. Eikon let out a slight snicker as he watched his comrades appear before him one after another.
"Took you guys long enough..." Eikon stated with shut eyes. Each dragon possessed a Dragon Claw that was shone very clearly through the flames. Their appearance, however, seemed hazy with only the iris of their eyes being shone as visible.
"Sorry we took so long Eikon, we were busy searching for the remaining blade for the master..." Killua, the Thunder Dragon, stated firmly.
"Well, well, so have I. I've dispatched a fire dragon along with a horde of fiends to a place called Sobal Bend City. One of my scouts reported seeing a boy who held a old blade that seemed to have some kind transforming ability..."
"Any word yet?" Killua asked anxiously.
"Not yet, but I should hear word soon. Till then why not get this meeting started.
The rest of the dragons nodded their heads in agreements. They were all in their humanoid forms with their arms folded and eyes shut. Killua informed them of their master's desires in retrieving the blade that can transform into any kind of weapon and asked each dragon for their report on their current situation. Eikon, however, seemed to be distracted by a disturbing feeling that appeared within the pit of his stomach.
He started staring up at the stony cavern ceiling and began wondering what was taking so long for his legions return. He began to grit his teeth slightly, distracting the other dragons as they turned their attention towards Eikon.
"Is something the matter Eikon?" Killua inquired, putting a halt to his debriefing.
"It's just, ever since one of our own have been slaughtered by that human and lost his Dragon Claw to him I have been feeling a bit uneasy..."
"That incident happened so long ago Eikon, out of the Ten Legendary Dragons Saika was the weakest. Him being slain by an ordinary human isn't much of a surprise. How he even acquired a Dragon Claw is a mystery within of itself."
"So you mean to tell me none of you have been hearing the rumors?" Eikon questioned with a look of intensity in his eyes and a deep growl in his voice.
"Rumors? What are you talking about Eikon?" Adonis, the Red Ruby Dragon, retorted briefly. His image stood towards the right of Eikon as the beast eyes shifted towards his comrade.
"We're being hunted..." Eikon stated firmly, the intensity in his eyes settled as he stared at the group of his fellow comrades. Everyone began talking amongst themselves while exchanging concerning looks.
"Of course we're being hunted Killua, we are Legendary Dragons that hold the Dragon Claws. Every Dragon wants a chance to obtain this power..." said Killua finally.
"Not just Dragons, I'm talking about humans. Especially the ones who have been infected with Ranshio. They've discovered the truth about the Dragon Claws and now they want that power for themselves!" Eikon roared.
"You've got to be kidding me right? Humans?" One half of the Shadow Dragons stated with shrugged arms.
"The fact that you believe we are being hunted by such primitive creatures insults us..." The other half of the Shadow Dragons commented with a slight shake of his head.
"Let's get back to the meeting..." Killua interjected, disregarding what Eikon had stated. "Adonis, status report..."
"The girl is fine, she's come accustomed to being stuck here in this temple. Her powers will eventually be restored and reawakened for our Master's use once more," said Adonis.
"Excellent, all that's left is to find that remaining blade..." said Killua. He turned to face Eikon who began gritting his teeth slightly in frustration. "Any word from your horde Eikon..."
"They...they've been wiped out...I can no longer feel their presence..." Eikon responded briefly with shut eyes.
"What!?" Killua exclaimed.
"Who did you send?" Adonis asked in a curious manner.
"It was Alazar, my strongest dragon...he's been defeated..." Eikon responded briefly.
"Was it by another Dragon?" Kamahi questioned while leaning forward slightly.
"Humans occupy that area, now you see!?" Eikon turned to face the door leading out of the room. "If you excuse me I must prepare myself for some unwanted company. Tell the Master when you see him to come retrieve the blade he had left in my possession," said Eikon while taking slow steps towards the exit.
"Very well, meeting is adjourned for now..." said Killua
Meanwhile
The night has passed and Yasmin had found herself waking up to another argument with Koji and Vincent. The two began debating on which course to take next. Koji had been set on facing the Legendary Fire Dragon Yasmin had spoke of earlier in order to obtain the Dragon Claw but Vincent was determined to take a look at investigating the town where people had went missing.
Zack, unbothered by the quarrel between his brother and his friend, continued to lie on the floor and read through his comic book while proceeding in scratching his backside.
"What the hell is wrong with you!? I tell you we might find a lead on your friend and you just want to blow it off!?" Vincent shouted with a slightly raised right eyebrow and a agitated look upon his face.
"I'm not blowing it off, right now you don't have enough concrete proof that you're lead is legit. Meanwhile we have the location of a Dragon Claw and it's just a days journey away! I can't let that opportunity pass!" Koji retorted.
"So just forget your friend Magome huh? What changed? Don't tell me hooking up with this broad made you forget about your friends!?" Vincent stated while pointing towards Yasmin with spit flying out of his mouth from each word he stated.
"Hey...why am I being included into this?" Yasmin questioned with a blank stare upon his face.
"I get it, she must've seduced you with her boobs and now you can't think straight, is that it!?" Vincent questioned.
"What the hell you just say!?" Yasmin retorted with clenched teeth.
"Don't mind my brother...he's an idiot," Zack commented, he flipped the page of his comic, released a quick laugh, then continued to read through the rest
"Look I haven't forgotten about Magome ok, there's just too many what ifs. What if she's not there, what if she's not even alive. The only thing I know is certain is that there's a dragon with a Dragon Claw out there and we don't have much time left before he catches on that we're hunting him and leaves!" Koji stated while wiping the spit residue from off his face "and next time, say it don't spray it..." Vincent clenched his teeth tightly before folding his arms and pouting out his lips.
He cast his gaze to the left while tapping his arm with his right index finger. Koji's agitation soon subsided as he released a slight sigh. He knew Vincent just held his best interest at heart but he couldn't risk losing the opportunity in finally retrieving a Dragon Claw. He decided in his heart he'll continue his search for Magome after the dragon is defeated and the claw is obtained.
"Look I'm not saying I don't trust you Vincent, it's just that, I mean all your leads ends up nowhere. Once we defeat this dragon we'll go check it out," said Koji.
"So who's this Magome person?" Yasmin asked while approaching the two young warriors.
"She's a friend I knew back in Tensuke City, before the incident. She was the last face I saw before blacking out and waking up at my grandfathers place..." Koji replied briefly.
"You think she's still alive?" Yasmin questioned with her right index places against her cheek.
Koji only responded with a slight shake of his head. Sorrow enveloped within his eyes as the thought of Magome moving on from this world haunted his mind. Deep down, after searching for any signs of her for so long, he had given up hope. He knew Vincent was just trying to be a good friend by remaining positive but deep down he had came to terms of a possibility that he would never see her again.
"Well then, looks like we've got some work to do," Yasmin stated while slamming her right fist against her left palm. The gesture had grabbed the three boys attention as they stared at Yasmin with curious eyes.
"What do you mean?" Koji asked finally.
"After we take down this dragon I'll join you guys in search for you friend. She seems to mean a lot to you..." Yasmin stated with a cheerful smile.
"Heh, I guess you're not just some broad after all..." said Vincent. His statement immediately caused a look of annoyance to swell within Yasmin's face.
"Well then what are we waiting for, we should head out now," said Zack, shutting the comic with his right hand.
"Yasmin..." said Koji. Deep down, he wanted to run into her arms and give her a big hug. He was grateful to her for everything, "alright let's go we've got a dragon to hunt!"
