At first every thing was fuzzy then she was back in her own reality playing games on her cell phone, laughing at funny video and sneaking peeks at porn. Then the world changed and she was once again Erin stuck in a strange new world wishing she could not only have her phone back but could escape into it as well.
Then the dream shifted again and she was drawing a square of light in the air as she finished it her old world flickered into view. With a flick she changed to a search scene and then spoke "Alexa show me a picture of KFC chicken bucket," suddenly the picture showed that deliciously crunchy chicken.
Then my arm reached inside and pulled it out that bucket of chicken then it reached in again and pulled out the mashed potatoes and that slightly salty but perfect gravy, and lastly those super fluffy buttery and soon to be jelly filled biscuits. The smell of heaven entered my nose and I quickly found the largest breast piece and opened my mouth wide and chopped down.
It didn't feel like it should have and I could bite through it, in addition were did that great smell go. I opened my eyes to see only my sleeve and realized I was trying my best to eat it. Someone burst out laughing it was Bug the gnome, as I turned red and tried to look elsewhere my eyes met Oval the Dwarks eyes who could hold it in any more and soon his deep laugh joined Bug's.
Dammit and I was still starving, talk about insult to injury. Bug poured me some water and when I was gulping it down Oval quit laughing and gave me a bowl of soup. I was so hungry but my hands and body was not quite working right. Bug and Oval had to help me sit more upright and even spoon feed me it was super embarrassing but at the same time super sweet I had made two great friends. Really my very first ones.
After they explained that I had passed the exams and classes would start in a week in addition they had been able to select classes their yesterday. I had been in the healers hut for the pass few days appearently from mana burn and some other unexplainable injuries. The doctor said she didn't know how I was standing let alone how I had passed the exam in my shape. In addition she thought I wouldn't be able to cast or retain magic any more but it had healed overnight appearently.
The doctor did one more heal spell and said I could return to my normal activities. The spell, food and my friends helped me face the day with more confidence. Just being able to smell fresh air, wiggle my fingers and walk without pain. I dimly remember casting my last spell and wishing for this being to find peace and return to nature. So I tentatively asked about what happened to the undead.
"Oh my gods, you got to come check it out it's like a true miracle happened. Of coarse they had to move the testing grounds over a little bit but ... well you just got to see it to believe it," shouted Bug while yanking me along. Oval chucked and followed along. We went around the hall and headed towards where the testing grounds had been.
A huge massively tall white and rainbow barked tree stood at its previous spot, massive branches ran and sprawled everywhere for about 3000 feet. As they got closer Erin remembered two arms reaching skyward and a smile crossing over a skeletal face before I passed out and realized the two massive truck spread wide in a simular fashion a small bump between them looked to be smiling.
Bug exclaimed, "It's the tree of heaven only seen there, and you brought one to earth look it has over a hundred different fruits that grow on it. One of the teacher said it's even growing ten fruits that have been extinct for the last several hundred years but destroyed because of greed. It has had numerous spells cast upon it so it can stay safe and in harmed as well as around the clock guards now. They plan to true to propagate the seeds to grpw them once more."
"Your name has even been added to the school contributions plaque though some are saying a god must have help you so it was just blanket cheating. Erin I believe in you even if it's a gift from the gods your magic made it come to us in your time of need. What that as what did was dispectable and is going under review by Thoth wife he won't get away with it even if he's one of their children."
It might happened after all she was the goddess of truth maybe justice would be served but I had doubts that he couldn't pin it on others or some that he was testing me to see if I had cheated before or something like that. Meanwhile Bug rambled on about the tree given out a single fruit to each student and how it had healed every status and boosted their powers.
Right then as we stopped at the fenced border and suddenly the tree started to bend towards me, the guards started to shout until the saw me then stopped in their tracks. It was as if they were scared of me suddenly, the tree continued until it bowed to me. Then one branch that was the tallest gently layed a small golden Persia ( basically a ancestor to the pear), fruit onto my palm.
Then the tree slowly returned to it original and natural position, tears streamed down her face as she heard the voice in her mind thank her for setting this soul free. Then in a flash a rainbow formed over the tree and she could feel within her soul that the other had finally been set free from its earthly burdens and troubles. The soft and gentle raindrops fell to the ground and instantly grass and flowers grew and bloomed. Utmost peace eased all who stood before it and under it and any lingering pains, disease or poisons were lifted from those who observed.
Unknown to Erin, Thoth and all the other gods had been watching as well as Geb her own god. They look at each other and turned back to the table they sat around and Geb rolled the dice and made a bet. On the table rested a map and different other figures representing various living things. Geb had ruled their world in peace for close to a hundred years, soon they would compete again and chaos would rule till the next ruling god would be chosen.
