I wake up to the sun shining through my windows and an aching feeling in my arm. I sit up and take off my shirt and as I do I see a purple bruise the size of a softball on my left elbow. That's gonna be a problem. Standing up I strip down nude and walk across the hall to the bathroom. I toss my clothes in the washer and take a shower. After that I get dressed and walk downstairs to get some food since my stomach is demanding it. I pour myself aome dry cereal and grab a protein bar and some water and begin to eat. As I eat I check the tv and my phone. Nothing.. I can't be the only one who made it. Right? Surely if a out of shape 20 something can survive someone else can to right?.... No use thinking depressing thoughts. Since my arms shot its probably best if I stay home today. Maybe I can read up on some farming necessities and begin prepping a garden. Yup. That seems like a good idea. I flip open the binder I put the farming stuff in and begin to read. So basically to sum it up before I can plant anything I should till the ground and make paths between the rows so I can keep up with the crops. The first step is knowing what your going to plant but I dont even know what seeds they have. Ive grown flowers before so this should be pretty similar right? Well I'll need a shovel and a hoe for the tilling since a gas tiller would make way to much noise and I don't habe a horse to use a pull tiller. Wait. Do I even have a hoe? I stand up and head back out to the garage and looking around I dont find any farm stuff. Figures. I mean we are in the middle of town so who would really need that stuff? I didn't even find a shovel. But I did find the gun cleaning stuff so I should practice with that. I should also try out the silencer and find out if that even works. After getting inside I grab the gun info binder and begin to try and clean the 30-06 rifle. It takes a bit of work but I manage to disassemble the barrel dom the stock and clean it out before moving on to oiling the trigger machanism. I finish cleaning it after about an hour and reassemble it. Turns out its a lot easier to take apart than put together but I manage to fix it.
Now for the big test. I take some duck tape and the .22 and place a bottle over the gun barrel and tape it down. Then I load the clip with 14 bullet plus one in the chamber. Stepping outside the back door I raise the rifle and pull the trigger. *Pumbsh Nice. It muffled it enough that nothing a decent distance away will here it. *Pumbsh *Pumbsh *Pumbsh *Bang. Ok. So that was loud. I check around but down see anything near by. So a bottle can handle about 4 shot before it becomes useless. Not great but not terrible. Especially since the 22 is relatively light and easy to shoot. I may end up needing this if the farm store is busy. I return inside and remove the bottle and get a new on taped on. Setting it aside I begin checking my route to make it to the farm store.I draw a piss poor map but at least now I habe a visual to follow. After planning my route I realize it's around 2 in the afternoon. Time for some lunch. Munching on some chips and a sandwich I continue reading everything I printed off. The water purifying steps are pretty straight forward along with collecting info. I should be able to get a storage tank for water and filters at the farm store. But how will I get it back here? Maybe I'll find a truck to haul it. A little noisy but if the road are clear that would be the best course of action. I finish my lunch and head back into the office. I spend a few hours online looking up information on different things. I could try to find some chickens. Maybe I'll get lucky. I look outside and see the sun cresting the hill. I head inside and get some food before I lay down and sleep. Tomorrow will be a long trip.
