(AN: So how is everyone enjoying this book so far? I'm doing my best to update as frequently as I can but with work there may be a few days of no chapters every now and then. I do intend to at worst do 1 chapter a week. Thank you for reading and let me know if you guys have any advice on better writing.)

Walking out of the bathroom I begin cleaning the blood off the walls. It take a bit but I managed to get it back to normal. After the walls I begin scrubbing the carpet using color safe bleach and a scrub brush. Around three hours goes by and ive gotten almost all of the blood cleaned up. I head down to the common area to cook some spam for dinner. I turn on the TV with the volume turned off and subtitles on..... Blue screen saying no signal.... I flip a few more channels just to be safe but its all the same. Turning it off I put my spam on the last of my bread with some mayo and cheese. I sit down on the couch and begin scrolling on my phone while eating. Nothing has changed. Seems like nobody bothers updating their facebooks during an apocalypse. Who would have guessed it? Turning it off after I finish checking, I eat and wash my dishes before heading back up stairs after I bolt the door. Walking into my room I lay my wrench on the bedside table and lock my door. Looking out my window I see the last bit of daylight slipping over the hill. The town is in a valley with hills and woods in a bowl shape the main road splitting it in the middle. I can see the gas station and my workplace from my window. The night is always quiet now. It used to be peaceful but busy. People walking the paths through the park after eating at the restaurant. Kids laughing as they ran through the park catching fireflies. Now, however, it's silent save for the shuffling of feet through the night and the occasional crash of something being knocked over. The night is long. After the light disappears and night descends I lay on my bed and close my eyes. Tomorrow will be another long day.
The next morning I wake up and get ready for the day. The night was passed without anything going wrong. I head down stairs to the kitchen for some breakfast. I eat some dry cereal and have a protein bar while checking my phone and the TV. Still nothing.... Oh well. I step out the back door to check the shed/garage thats in the backyard for a dolly or wagon I can use to get more supplies. I pass by the parked cars and open the door. Inside there alot of crap piled up. It looks like it was never cleaned out. I begin checking around and find a pool table in the back. Didn't know we had one out here. I continue looking around and find a baseball set with a few metal baseball bats. Grabbing one I begin to move boxes around while checking them out. A few ornaments, pictures, clothes and some old magazines. After digging through a literal mountain of boxes I find an old red flyer wagon. It's a bit rusty but upon pulling it out it makes almost no noise. The wood rail around it is busted but I can use some rope and that should make sure nothing falls. As I bring the wagon out I notice a tarp covering a shelf? box? I set the wagon outside and come back in to pull the tarp down. As I do I see a glass case containing a few old rifles. It's locked but I can break the glass. I grab the bat and shut the door. I try to quietly push the bat through the glass but it doesn't work. So I step outside and look around. I don't see anything nearby so closing the door back behind me I swing the bat lightly and.... *crash. Fuck that was loud. I rush outside and look around. Thankfully it looks like nothing heard that. I walk back in and as I do I see a key hanging on the drawer... I'm an idiot..... Shaking my head I pull the key off and open the cabinet. There are 2 rifles and a revolver. I open the drawer and find bullets. .30-06 .22 and .38 caliber bullets. Not bad. I remember a friend telling me I can ducktape a bottle on the barrel of a 22 and it will act as a silencer. I'll have to test that later. for now I load the guns and ammo inside the house. I have three 20 count boxes of the 30-06 bullets, five 200 count boxes of 22 bullets, and three 50 count boxes of 38 special bullets. Nice. But they a too noisy to use carelessly. I load the revolver and strap the holster on my hip after making sure the safety is on. Now I have something better than a pipe wrench just in case. After doing all this I move the wagon to the front of the house. Heading inside I grab my wrench, some jerky, my metal water bottle, and my bag to head back to the gas station. Hopefully nothing had changed.
