Blame
"Aish, he didn't mean it, right?" I asked myself for the nth time. I stopped wiping the counter top and lean on it. I crossed my arms.
"Yeah, right, he's drunk last night," I uttered. I shook my head and lightly hit it.
"Why are you hitting your head?" I jumped and quickly turned my back against him. He gasped.
"M-Me? I'm not hitting my head," I chuckled nervously. I swallowed when he walked in front of me. I trued not to look at him. He crossed his arms over his chest.
"I saw you."
"Inaano ko lang.. ah.. kinakalawang na kasi," I said bluntly. His forehead creased.
"Huh? Kinakalawang?" he asked, confused.
"Hindi, kasi ano.. nagco-compute ako, oo 'yon," I pointed my index finger at him repeatedly.
"Why?"
"Math? Nabo-bobo na kasi ako," I laughed, "Does your head ache?" I diverted the topic. He massaged his nape and exercise his neck in a circular motion.
"A little bit. But I'm fine. Paano nakauwi sina Geo?" I licked my lips before answering.
"I don't know. They just left the unit," he nodded and sat on the stool. He placed both of his arms on the counter top and rest his head above it.
"I'll cook breakfast for you," I said. He didn't response so I opened the fridge and get some hotdogs, hams, and egg to be cook for him. I fried rice and even toast bread. Brewed coffee for him too.
"Tapos ka na mag-umagahan?" he asked. Napatigil ako sa pag-alis sa dining area. I turned to him and nod kahit hindi pa talaga.
"Bakit 'di mo 'ko hinintay or ginising man lang?" I was caught off guard by his next question. I blinked twice and cleared my throat.
"Ah.. I can't wait for you because I'm sooo hungry. 'Di na rin kita ginising kasi mukhang ang lalim ng tulog mo," then I giggled. His brows furrowed before nodding and continue eating his breakfast. I thought I will feel relieve. But I was wrong.
"Wait for me here. You'll wash the dishes," my forehead crease. Hinarap ko siya at nameywang.
"And why would I need to wash dishes?" mataray kong tanong. Tinaasan niya ako ng kilay habang ngumunguya.
"I have somewhere to go.
"Why? You'll come with me?" he asked.
"Oo! Kahit saan pa 'yan! Palibhasa bar lang naman 'yan!"
"Fine, kahit anong suotin mo pwede. Kahit 'yan na lang," I nodded like a kid. He chuckled.
"Keoz!
"You said you'll come with me?" halos himatayin na ako sa hiya rito! Pinagtitinginan ako ng mga tao!
"Keoz!
"Keoz! Parang awa mo na! I-alis mo na ako rito!" bulong ko. He teasingly shook his head and didn't even take a glance of me. I breathe in and bravely pulled off my hoodie which reveals my spaghetti top.
Santo santita!" anang matanda. I covered my face out of embarassment.
"I'm sorry po, she has a problem in her mind, that's why she's acting like this, I'm sorry.
"Are you insane Fion?! Why did you.. fuck!" he ruffled his hair and glared at me.
Ayaw mo akong paalising do'n!" I defended. His mouth dropped.
"You didn't respect the funeral Fion!
"Prince grandfather," my eyes widened at that. I blinked.
"Prince?! Your friend who came here last night?!" I asked, surprised. He nodded. I heavily sighed and ruffled my hair. I glared at him.
I blurted out. Napatayo siya.
"So the blame is on me now?" he seriously asked. I stood up too and held my chin up.
"Oo! Alangan namang ako diba?" he stared at me for a moment before he nodded.
"Don't eat any food here that is bought by my own money, okay?" he slowly said. Napamaang ako sa sinabi niya. At napababa ang baba ko doon.
"And oh, don't use your room okay? Dito ka sa sala matulog. Sa couch," he pointed the couch. My lips parted and looked at him.
"Anong.. anong sabi mo? Take it back Keoz! Keoz!" I tugged the hem of his polo. He looked at it and pulled my hand away from it.
He stared at me like he succeed into something.
"Goodluck, the blame is on me now."
