CHAPTER 30; CAN DO MUCH MORE WITH ME.
-Two hours ago before the knock on the door-
Ma Suk had just come out of a shareholder's meeting when he received an audio message. "Boss, I am sorry but am quitting. Get another person, weird things have been happening since I went to kill your brother. I couldn't knock him down yesterday but instead it was the girl he was with. The truck I used looks like I ran in to a wild boar yet this this morning I saw the girl walking around without any injury. I am sorry but if you are contacting me about matters concerning that girl and your brother. Don't bother." The voice note ended. Ma Suk chuckled and then murmured to himself. "Let me go checkout, my little mermaid princess."
-Now-
Rin finally came back to her senses and opened the door. "It's you!" Rin didn't expect to see him here. "Who were expecting dear?" He chuckled and entered. "You can't enter. I have not allowed you to do so." She said from behind. Ma Suk went even further and sat where she was. He picked up the book she was reading and got a few pieces of crisps and put them in his mouth. It was as if he was in his house. "You?!" Rin was flabbergasted. "Oh, where are my manners! I am so sorry. Good evening." He said formally as he crossed his legs. "Get out before Ma Roo comes back or else…" She couldn't finish up when he interrupted. "Or else what?! Come take a seat. Rin, is it? I know who you are. You are not human, are you?" He looked up when he mentioned that.
"How… how did… you know?" Rin was now confused. "Is that the right question to ask? Instead of how I got to know what you are, what about what I want?" Ma Suk said after a small pause he added on. "We can cooperate together. I leave Ma Roo alone, I never even bother him for the rest of his life if you work for me." Ma Suk put up a deal. "I don't know what you talking about." Rin pretended not to know what he meant. "Oh, is that so? Ok! The deal is still on. I'll let you think about it. I won't bother Ma Roo for now till you come and tell me your answer. You won't be there to protect him for forever. I'll keep on sending my men to hunt him down and you are not allowed to kill here on land or else you'll get locked up behind the dark walls." Ma Suk said with a smile on his face.
"What are you talking about? Don't ever touch Ma Roo if you want your life." Rin threatened. "I am here. You can finish my life right now. Come, or else, I won't stop bothering your sweetheart." Ma Suk provoked her and then closed his eyes giving her a chance. Rin walked towards where Ma Suk was and held his hand tightly. Ma Suk felt his heart skip when he heard her cold hand touch his. He regretted saying what he said and bit his lips but Rin just pulled him to the door. With her strength, he couldn't pull himself from her grip. "I let you go this time." Rin said. He walked out with a smile. "Well, I put my life on line this time but I knew she wasn't the type to kill a person." Ma Suk thought after inhaling deeply, he then left with his devious smile plastered on his face.
-At a certain karaoke room-
Ma Roo was seated in a couch playing games on his phone. There were only four girls with him the only male there. "Ma Roo, what would you like to drink? I can get it for you." One of the girls said to Ma Roo. "Thank you but I still have a coco. Maybe get my friend anything she wants. Hey, would you like anything outside." The girl with the purple rimmed specs was also drinking her canned soda shyly as she watched the other girls miming songs. They were good at what they were doing since it's what they majored. "Oh, I'd like some mineral water, my throat s getting weird from drinking so much soda." She blushed seeing that was paying attention. Mi Na's friend went outside to get more drinks and snacks. "Hey, Ma Roo! Come join us to sing." Mi Na offered using a microphone
"No, I'm not good singing, sorry!" Ma Roo rejected the offer. "Don't worry, we won't laugh at you for not knowing for not knowing." Mi Na as usual refused to give up. "No…" Ma Roo was interrupted by Mi Na because she was far away using a microphone. "C'mon, it's just one song. We came here for fun, don't ruin it. C'mon!" She came where he was and handed him the placed the microphone in his hands. "Ma Roo! Ma Roo! Ma Roo!" They all said his name with enthusiasm even the purple rimmed specs girl joined in not to be left out. They did not stop on calling his but also dragged him to the stage. "What's wrong with you?" Ma Roo tried to refuse but couldn't fight off the three girls at once. "Ok, I'll go by myself." He finally accepted defeat.
They all clapped in happiness for their success. "What song do you want?" Mi Na asked. "Actually, I don't know any song." Ma Roo said quite ashamed of himself. "That's fine, there's a lyrics' screen. We'll choose for an easy song." Mi Na was so excited. "Hey, what song do you think suits him." Mi Na asked her friend who had remained. "I think he is cool singing any song." Do Ra was out of options.
"Are you guys getting song or I leave the singing?" Ma Roo was impatient. Then the class president stood up and just chose randomly while the others were still discussing. When Ma Roo started singing, the girls almost fainted from shock. "Oh my God! Cho Rae just missed out so much." Do Ra said. Mi Na then snapped back to reality, she grabbed her phone and started recording right away. When Ma Roo finished up, he sighed because he had to hold his breathe for log during the raps. The girls were in silence looking at him admiringly. "Hey, why are you all weird? How was l?" Ma Roo was puzzled. Then they remembered that they had to at least clap. "WOO!" Do Ra shouted to cheer him. At that moment, Cho Rae also came back with snacks she had gone to get. "What's going on? Why this weird atmosphere?!" Cho Rae didn't understand what was going on because she had missed out quite a lot.
"Hey guys! Thanks for today but I've got to go." The class president said seeing that it was already dark and any way she didn't fit in since she wasn't a singer. "I have to go too." Ma Roo also said. "But why?" Mi Na thought they got along really well today. "I'm sorry maybe next time. Bye! Hey, wait for me." He then grabbed his bag and ran after the purple specs girl. When she looked back to see that Ma Roo had also left. She blushed thinking maybe he had left because of her. "Oh, Ma Roo, you also left." She was surprised. "Oh, it's getting dark and I don't want to reach home late." He explained.
"Oh why?!" She interrogated him. "Someone is waiting for me. I don't want to make her worried." His eyes sparkled by the mention of it. "Her? Your mother?" She asked. "No, my mom died when I was young." Ma Roo said. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to." She felt guilty for bringing it up. "It's okay." He smiled. "Oh!" She didn't what else to say. "Oh, today I couldn't treat you to anything. Maybe next time you get time. We'll hang out." He said. "Oh, it's okay. It wasn't all bad at all plus your singing was so amazing." She smiled.
When Ma Roo returned home, he seemed to have got some things from a convenience store. He was holding two bags in his hands. He entered in the passcode and entered. He found Rin and Saet Byul seated while watching a TV soap eating snacks. "Hey, you girls. None of you two can notice that am even back. I think my fridge is empty with you two around." Ma Roo nagged them. "You such a miser. Do you expect us to eat nothing while you not around?" Saet Byul said. "Ma Roo! Welcome back." Rin was happy to see Ma Roo back. "Hey, I bought you two ice cream." He said as he changed into slippers. "Ma Roo, welcome back. Do you know how much I've missed you?" Saet Byul ass kissed him when she heard he brought ice cream. Though she acted like a grown up sometimes, she was nothing more than a seven-year-old. "Look how good you are treating me after you heard of ice cream." He gave them one bag and went with the other to the kitchen with a smile of satisfaction. He wished that every day would be just simple like today. He hadn't thought of his problems today. Thanks to Rin, he had completely changed. He had become warmer than before. He interacted with other people today, wasn't that amazing? He even sang. What was wrong with hi
