Hello. I thought about an idea for a different book. I mean, I know I put a bunch off stuff on here about the other one (the thing I'm talking about is a scrapheap you'll never see, don't worry), and I'll probably go back to it if I ever decide if it's actually a good story, but for now, I have a new idea.
You might've read these 'death game' books. They're kinda like jigsaw, I guess. I mean, I've read a couple of them, the only thing I've noticed is that they were all pretty much the same. I want something different, but still in the same genre. I want the death, gore, terror and despair, but I don't want it to be cliche and predictable. I want so many fucking twists, that if it were a rollercoaster, even the most iron-bellied people would puke. But, how do I do that? Do I do something completely mad and unorthodox, or should I make the differences subtle, but still shocking all the same? Most books start off normal, then slowly escalate to batshít crazy, but what if I start off batshít crazy? No, that would be pretty boring and hard to understand. I want character development and some degree of relatability, I want it to be as realistic as possible, yet in an unimaginable situation.
You see, in this book, I really wanna convey the fact that people are assholes, who will do anything to survive. I mean, sure, you get the occasional screw-loose that just wants to die, and I also want that in the book too. Although, the suicidal shit will probably come after people have started killing each other.
Well, this is basically all I have for now. I mean, I thought about it for around half an hour in the freezing cold yesterday, and only a few minutes ago, did I think about it again. But, now I have decided on a name for the mc. His name shall be *drum role* Orion. You know, like the constellation, Orion the Hunter. In the beginning, he won't be much of a hunter, which is pretty ironic. I want him to be pretty slow on the uptake, and see the consequences of that unfold, and how that will change his personality as shit keeps happening and how exactly he'll adapt to that. But yeah, cya.*

Ahh, this was back when I still had ambitions and goals. Crazy how much a person can change in half a year. I mean, I haven't really been doing anything. Just reading books day in, day out since the lockdown started a couple of months after I originally wrote this chapter into my phone notepad.
It's funny, I'll probably look back on this in another half a year, or ma he more, and I'll think how naive I was to actually be thinking that I changed a lot.
Actually, I'll probably forget about this, so oh well. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

*I also realize now after I've accumulated more reading experience that he sounds like a horrible character that seems like a pain in the arsé to write. -13.49.
