A few days had past and Malcolm worked nonstop. Quinn and Mr. Beal were losing their minds. Yet, they refused to go to the police. Although I didn't blame them. They had their reasons and Malcolm had his for being a fucking idiot. But something absolutely crazy happened. Something they didn't expect. Let me explain...
"Auden, time to wake up." Malcolm whispered.
Auden slowly opened his sleepy eyes. "What do you want?" He asked struggling to hide his fear. The fear that only continued to grow with each passing day.
"Don't be so nervous. It's okay." Malcolm noticed, of course. Are you surprised? Let me guess, no. Why would you be? That's the usual. Malcolm's an intelligent genius with a dark secret. But is it really a secret at this point?
Auden stayed silent. "Anyways, I think I know what to do." Malcolm exclaimed with a pinch of excitement in his voice.
"What?"
"Do you want to know why you and Kai are connected?" Malcolm asked.
"Yeah.. yes." Auden was hesitant.
"When I first met you, you needed blood. Kai was the one who donated it to you. He was kind to people he didn't even know. That's one thing I admire about him." He smiled.
"So..." Auden paused.
"So, in order to bring him out, maybe we need more of him. So I suppose that means I need more of his blood. However, I need to munipulate your body into thinking its new." Malcolm paused. "I think I know just the trick." He said. He left without another word.
Auden couldn't escape the feeling of emptiness inside his stomach. He needed to get out of there but how? What was Malcolm's plan?
About twenty minutes later Malcolm held a blood sample in his hand. "This should work." He said.
"Should?" Auden raised a brow.
"Well its a forty percent chance it may not work. In other words it may do nothing." Malcolm assured him. However it didn't really help.
Auden wasn't sure how to feel about it. If it worked then I would take over his body leaving me to deal with Malcolm. If it didn't work Auden would be in his own body.
He had the blood ready for injection. Auden closed his eyes as the needle pierced his skin. A minute later Malcolm laughed.
"Would you look at that.. nothing." His face went blank.
Auden opened his eyes feeling nothing. Just like Malcolm said. He watched him walk away with the empty needle. Auden sighed.
He softly closed his eyes in hopes of falling asleep. That's when he felt it. The sensation inside his chest. It began to linger across his body. His eyes were just like mine. Every detail was the same. His body was mutating into mine. The powerful glow lit the entire room.
"Woah..." I whispered. I looked around the room with a dazed look. "What the hell?" I looked down at my body, strapped to the table.
"Not again.." I said. With that I clenched my fists and leaned forward using all of my strength to escape. My ora burned hot.
As I continued to struggle it only burned hotter. At this point I was almost immune to it. Like some sort of super human. I felt stronger as if I could do anything. In less then a minute I was free. I broke through the entrapment. Although the ora was so hot it had started to burn my clothes. I was almost completely naked but I didn't care. I didn't care because I had been freed from those straps. The ones that Auden was so desperate to get out of and it only took me seconds.
I was fueled by the anger that once boiled in my heart. Finally it was surfacing. I felt like a whole new person. I knew there was a change. For better or worse, I liked it. In fact I loved it.
Didn't I deserve this? After everything I needed this. Yes.. yes.. yes!!
