He coughs slightly. "Why am I even shocked at this point?" He mumbles to himself, inching back a bit.
"Please don't be afraid. Just take a deep breath, and I can explain everything" Auden tells him calmly.
He hesitates to say anything but instead he manages to nod. He furrows his brows, still staring. "How?" He whispers.
"Well.. it all started when I met Malcolm" Auden starts. He begins explaining the story, including his visions of Malcolm and his lost memories. He tells him about all the experiments and even the truth about Malcolm's feelings.
Once he finishes, John stays silent.
'Did you break him?' I ask, slightly worried.
'Uh maybe?' Auden states, also a bit worried. "John? Are you okay?" He asks him.
He blinks and stands up with his fists clenched. "I'm gonna kill him" He grumbles starting to walk but Auden grabs his hand.
"No, you're not. Don't be impulsive John" He tells him, using a firm tone. I was slightly surprised to see Auden giving orders.
"Why? This guy has done nothing but ruin our lives and someone's got to stop him from causing any more damage" He states.
"I know, but you can't kill him. Especially not now. We need him to split us into our own bodies and I don't think he's going to do that willingly" Auden explains.
"So we'll make him. If he loves you both, won't he want to help you?" He puts his hands on his hips.
'Well he has some issues so I don't really think he knows how love works' I mumble to myself.
Auden sighs standing up. "He doesn't want to lose me or Kai and separating us could risk that. Besides, he won't listen to reason after what happened" He tells him.
"So.. what are we supposed to do?" Asks John, starting to become frustrated.
"We have to make him think that Kai's in love with him. If he believes it, he might actually help us" He answers.
"What? That's ridiculous" John says immediately.
"Yeah, maybe, but it might actually work, John. You have to at least let us try"
"Hell no. I don't want you or Kai around that bastard!"
"Well it's not exactly in your control, is it?" Auden says, slightly annoyed.
He raises a brow crossing his arms. "I suppose you could be right, but I do have a say in this and so does Quinn. How exactly do you plan on doing this?" He questions.
"Well.. we're not sure yet. I guess Kai's going to have to talk to him and maybe even pretend to forgive or understand him" Auden suggests.
'Great' I grumble quietly.
"Yeah, you barely have a plan, perhaps I could use my fists instead" John states.
He rolls his eyes and smacks him on the back of the head lightly. "No. Violence won't help. He has a lot of connections with a lot of dangerous people. We're not going to take the chance that someone else could get hurt or worse. Besides, he's not going to help if we threaten him" Auden says sighing.
He huffs silently and hears a knock on the door. He glances at Auden before walking over and opening it. Quinn walks inside and pauses seeing Auden.
"Quinn" Auden whispers, staring at them.
