"What the hell does he mean by powers?" Mr. Beal was filled with confusion. He continued to look in the file until someone burst into his office.
He looked up and noticed it was Ms. Bailey.
"Sir, I need to talk with you." She had a worried look on her face. "What is it?" He said with a harsh voice.
"It's about, Mr. Everson. It's hard to explain, I'll have to show you. It's the place where you found him..." She explained.
He hid the file in his desk and stood up. He headed out the door with Ms. Bailey following behind him.
"I have some things I need to do here, sir. But, there will be someone waiting for you there."
She said.
"Who?" He asked.
"I don't know her name, but she works with the police."
"Why do they want me to come there?"
"Well, you were the one who found Ka- Mr. Everson, so they need you."
"And it's just her, or will there be police still raiding the place?" He asked.
"It should be just her."
"Alright." He said as he left down stairs. He exited the building and headed towards the orphanage.
When he got there, he saw caution tape. His heart started to pace as he began to feel anxious.
He didn't like being there. All he wanted was for all of it to end. All the blood shed and the suffering.
He went inside. His fist were clenched in a tight hold.
"Hello?" He said.
No one answered. He looked around and saw the dry blood on the ground. He took in a deep breath.
"Is anyone here?" He spoke again.
"Right here." A voice from right behind him uttered.
The voice was disguised. He turned around and standing before him was a person with a dark cloak. They also had a clown mask on which was covering up their face.
In that moment Mr. Beal knew something was wrong. "Who are you?" He asked in a firm voice.
"You could say, I'm your nightmare." With that they shocked Mr. Beal with a small device.
It burned him, scaring him with the pain. He blacked out with how intense the electricity was...
Quinn was laying in the hospital bed. After they got their wound checked the nurse left the room.
They picked up their phone and proceeded to call Mr. Beal for another time. Mr. Beal hadn't been answering his phone.
"Come on, pick up already. I swear, if something happened to you I will not be afraid to fight some body." Quinn snapped their fingers.
They thought about sneaking out of the hospital again to see if he was okay.
They thought that they might have been paranoid so they decided to wait a little.
Another hour had past and Quinn was worried. Mr. Beal still hadn't answered his phone. Quinn knew that something had to be wrong. So, they got up and peeped their head out the door to see if anyone was looking.
When the coast was clear they ran out of the room.
But as they were about to turn the corner, they heard a doctor's voice.
"No one know's where doctor Joseph went. We haven't seen him." One doctor said.
Once they we're gone Quinn continued to dash to the exit. Eventually, they made it.
After, arriving to the office they rushed inside.
They we're about to use the elevator when they saw Ms. Bailey walking downstairs.
She was on the phone with someone. Quinn hid before she could see them.
"What the hell happened back there?! You make kidnapping sound so hard! You should have just shot him or something! I might as well do it myself!" She exclaimed. Then she hung up. She left the building and Quinn sighed.
They we're left with shock and fear. They knew something was off about her but this?!...
