It's Monday and Monday is the effectiveness of the Free Access pass to enter Beginner's Forest. It's time to level up so hard that the school might as well have Kray graduate already. He is already stuck up in gaining experience through gaining stats and punching the training dummy in the training ground of Ms. Castle's camp, it barely even manage to give experience, it was just through sheerwill and hardwork the reason why he reached level 8.
He understood that Ms. Castle wouldn't want to spoil him too much. Ms. Castle came from a pretty poor family so she knows hardwork better than anyone. Some kids gain experience through eating wild foods and such but he didn't recieved any. That is why his stats is pretty high compared to other kids with his level because gaining stats is his only source of experience as well as punching the training dummies at camp. Though, He is still grateful at Ms. Castle, other than adopting him, he learned life lessons pretty early.
But today an opportunity to gain levels faster presents itself. Experience gain from fighting monsters is just different, it boosts leveling your talent to a shocking degree. What he is aiming for is reaching level 20 in unarmed, why? For a class, of course. Classes are purely based on the level of your talent. You can literally become any class but who has the time to level every nook and cranny of all talents. For all he knows, there are still so many mysterious talents that people havent discovered and so many talents are not even fully recognize; greatest example is unarmed. No build to speak of, no written build also. Basic classes are usually a level 20 in a talent so he is hoping something comes up. Also, every class can be level up separately. Like you can be a level 5 swordsman while also be a level 5 mage (A great example for this in order to really fully grasp the concept is to play Final Fantasy: Tactics where every class is presented to all characters, playable or non-playable, except for the special and exclusive classes). To reach a higher class, you must reach a certain requirement like to be a Sorcerer, one must be a level 20 in mage and to be a Magus, one must be a level 20 in Sorcerer and the likes, this is true to all classes. With this given opportunity, he cannot put this to waste. Time to use his new found learnings of hardwork put in display.
Kray stood in front of their gate. It's 5:00 A.M., the sun is not yet even risen yet here he is already prepared. He wants to utilize the reward as much as he can. If your goal is to put a legend in justice, there is no time to waste when the gap is as tall as the distance between heaven and earth.
He already informed everyone to be at the front of the southern gate of the Beginner's Forest at 5:30 A.M. He is waiting for Chester to be where he is.
That friday night, after he vent his frustration at a tree and gain a stamina point and a wisdom point after solving a riddle; he was sure he was about to gain wisdom, he entered the house with Ms. Castle preparing for a vacation or something. She was going to attend a meeting with all the kings in the capital of Schrym for a week or two so he got the house for himself for a while and left him with some good amount of pocket money. She knows that Kray is too tight with his money and barely spend any so she isn't too worried with him starving to death. He already told her his plans for the week.
"Arggghhhh!" Chester like a zombie walked towards him, yawning as a tear formed on the side of his eye,
"Hurry up." Kray said,
"Argghhh. Yes. Yes. We didn't have to be so early." Chester yawned, his drooped eyes shows that he is still sleepy,
"Every second counts. You stuck up on food and water?" Kray asked,
"Yep. All in my inventory. We can't let Sally wait outside of River Rose. She just chatted me that she is waiting. I can't let a lady wait, the man should be the one waiting." He informed,
"Then let's go."
The two ventured forth towards Beginner's Forest, they met Sally whose face is so excited that she feels like she is going to a grand adventure or something. The three continued forward. After about half an hour, they saw the waiting Philip with a club that seemed to be homemade.
"What the hell is that? You're still holding a stick?" Chester said to whatever Philip is holding,
"None of your business, weakling." Philip sneered,
"Guys. Guys. We need to chill out." Sally trying to ease the tension.
Somehow, the two didn't managed to start the fight. Sally, who is in the center of the two, took a deep breathe of relief. Kray wasn't really too concern about Philip's wielded weapon as long as it can still do its job.
A distance from them is Geraldine and Crimson who is walking towards them. Geraldine walking like she is out of aspiration and Crimson is blabbering non-stop. Kray and Chester looked at them and immediately understood the reason of un-spirited Geraldine. Just how can you stop Crimson from saying something that is not chains and binding? No! How can you stop him from talking altogether? It's just mystifying how Crimson is the epitome of TL;DR.
"Good Morning." The drooping Geraldine greeted them,
"Guys. Good Morning." The always smiling Crimson greeted,
Kray and Chester raised their hands in response. Philip is just glaring at nothing with his never dissapearing knitted brows and the cheerful Sally just replied back.
"Good Morning." Sally greeted with a raised hand,
"You're happy?" Geraldine asked,
"Wha-what?! I-I am not excited." With her cheek reddenes, she covered her embarrassed face with her hands,
'Well, good for you.' Geraldine thought as she droopes her body even further. she looking at Sally like another problem child but she is a servant of the God of Light so better free herself from negative thoughts.
"Now that we are complete. Let me invite you all in a party and Let's go." Kray said, invited everyone and walked towards Beginner's Forest.
The guard on post stopped them and question their arrival before Kray showed their free access card and allowed them entry to the Beginner's Forest.
"Where do we go?" Crimson asked,
Looking at Philip, Crimson and Sally, Kray tried to analyze the fire power of the group. It feels too late to ask but Kray still asked anyway.
"Do you have any offensive skills, Sally?"
"Yes. I have fade bolt, an arcane lightning that jumps infinitely to enemy as long as they are within 1 meter radius but every jumps lessens the damage by 10% so as long as there is still arcane energy left, it will jump indefinitely. I also have Arcane Wave, a channeling spell that travels up to 15 meters with a width of 5 meters. It takes a lot of mana and I can use it one at a time. I also have telepathy, where we can communicate with our minds using our thoughts as long as we are in a party." She replied,
"That's great. We can try luring out as much moba as we can and have you use arcane blast that way after we got out of your line of sight, you release your channeled energy to fry the stampeding mobs and gain surmountable experience, we will gain much experience in the first wave and have you rested until you can cast it again." Kray replied,
Kray looked at Philip, then asked.
"Can your weapon hold as long as it can?"
Philip looked at Kray with a knitted brow. He hates his guts so much. Like who do you think he is? He is just the president of weakling as he thought but this is a chance that he cannot let go, it is not always you get to access Beginner's Forest before you can get your diploma for adventuring so cooperating with them will benefit him greatly. He sighed then answered, brows still knitted.
"It can only last today." He answered,
"Why would you even bring that then? Hmmm?" Chester said,
"SORRY IF MY FAMILY CAN'T EVEN BUY DINNER!" Philip angrily shouted at Chester.
Chester taken aback, felt guilty. Chester didn't know the social status of Philip and his family. Well, he doesn't care in the first place. What he knows about Philip is that he is a bully. PERIOD.
"So-sorry. I didn't know." Chester apologized,
"Hmph!" Philip sneered as he turned away from Chester,
"Then let's give all the loot to Philip that way he can buy a new mace tomorrow." Kray said, he felt the pain coming from Philip's shout,
"I don't need all of your pity." Philip continued to sneer,
"We aren't giving you pity! We are giving you a chance to provide for yourself! Don't bring your ego here when we are finally getting an opportunity, I can see it in your eyes on how much you want to become an adventurer so don't keep thingking too highly towards yourself. Nothing great comes with big egos." Kray said,
"Hmph. Fine." Philip uttered,
Sally placed a hand on the guilty Chester's shoulder. He held the hand of Sally desperately as if needed something to heal himself. After the tension drop down, Kray took a huge sigh.
"Lets hunt treants!" Kray said witha big grin to everyone.
