Chapter 4 - A Loving Touch

Even if your love language isn't physical touch, I believe it is still important to have assuring, loving touch with your spouse. I'm not saying it should be just flirty or sensual touch, but primarily caring. I'll discuss the importance of flirting later. My reason for non sensual touching is because of its human bonding properties. It's a way for you both to become closer and build an even stronger connection.

Caring touch between spouses helps the body to stay healthy. A human needs contact. Physical contact between spouses fills that need and creates more intimacy. Find ways to touch each other, like hugs, massages, putting lotion on each other, etc. If you're coordinated enough, try dancing. Find special things you can do together that lets then know you love them.

Frequent touching helps synchronising between couples. Personally, I find it helps our day go better and feel connected even when we're both at work. Becoming more in synch promotes better communication and subconsciously put both at ease.

Physical assurance is also provided through caring touch. That is something that everyone needs, no matter what age or stage of life. It's important whether you are a young love or old married couple. So get hugging!
