Chapter 18 - Chapter 18- This isn't a F*cking Manga

"I understood." I put back her calm facade immediately. Unknowingly to me, my multiple changes of reaction just from the mention of Baek Hyung-woo's name raises a sudden interest in Miss Dianne's mind.

"Seeing your reaction is fun Alice." Miss Dianne teased me. She put a playful smile on her face. She walked closer towards me, too close actually beyond comfort. "Say Alice, are you interested in Mr. Hyung-woo perhaps?" her fingertip touched my shoulder down to her arms as if a cat purring to her master. One thing that people didn't know that Miss Dianne is a flirt behind the curtain.

I stood frozen. Not because of Miss Dianne's gesture but to her statement. I do not count my feelings as a perspective of my reactions towards Hyung-woo random messages but certainly I feel she had a vague familiarity with that person.

"Hmmm... Your reaction is making me jealous you know." She leaned closer as she whispered those words making me blush.

"Stop making fun of me Miss Dianne." I stepped back making a large gap on us. Miss Dianne just laughed at my reaction.

"You're cute Alice when you react like that." she continually teased me. I was already familiar with her teasing. She does it from time to time when we are alone. "Anyway, I am looking forward to meeting this guy that interests my Alice." She switched immediately from her flirt to serious mode making me wonder how she did that.

I excused myself and went to my office just next to Miss Dianne. As I sighed once again, I turned on my computer and started working. Luckily, my thoughts fled away as I started to make progress in my work. I was too focused that I did not notice someone entered my office.

"Aren't you too workaholic?" I heard a familiar baritone voice. I looked up and was surprised to see the person who was making me anxious just a while ago. Glancing at the clock, and I was a bit surprised that it was already 10:30 in the morning.

"Good morning Mr. Baek Hyung-woo! I'm sorry for not noticing you." I saved my work and close the window of my computer. "Would you like some coffee first?"

"I prefer to go immediately and look at the offices. The last stop will be my office if it's okay."

"Understood." I nodded in agreement. "I will be guiding you Sir. Please follow me." I led the way outside my office. It was too sudden. As I passed him, I was able to smell his manly perfume.

We walked together and talked formally. I introduced him to the department heads and supervisor at the same time. He asked me questions related to the company which I answered the best of my ability. Lastly, he asked me about the whereabouts of his office as guide him there as his request.

I guided him on the same floor as our department. His office is opposite to mine. We entered and he looks around.

"Please take a seat." He told me as he himself seated at the swivel chair behind his big table.

I took a seat wondering if he needed anything. It was almost lunchtime.

"Did you not miss my presence Miss Gue-rim?" I almost palmed face with his sudden switch of tune. Of course, I am dealing with no other than this man whom I considered a real jerk and a freaking sis-con. I just realized that both he and Miss Dianne is quite the same behind closed doors.

"I forgot to ask if you had a good flight Mr. Hyung-woo. My apologies." Evading his question 101.

"Oh, it was fine. I was wondering why did you not reply to my message last night." Another seatback.

"I wasn't aware that it was necessary."

"Aren't you bit cold to me Miss Gue-rim." He stands up and walked to where I seated. "Aren't my messages to you not enough clue why I am here?" I was perplexed with his sudden question and closeness. I am not sure if I fully comprehend what he was saying. Am I just being ignorant of this? Or is this just another joke to laugh on?

He lifted my chin with his long fingers and looked at me in the eyes. My eyes opened wide as if seeing a sparkling background behind him.

Damn it! It isn't a fucking manga! I thought to myself.
