The days passed by without a hitch. Now and then, I went to my office as well to his doing work as I assist him for the time being. The board is really considerate of him. He was being treated like a VIP. Tonight, a welcome party to him will be held after our office work.
I admitted it to myself the reality that I might be attracted to my superior but it won't still change the fact that I'm still irritated with him though lately, he acted professionally and approaches me professionally too. His random messages stopped to the day after we saw each other. Though I am curious why is that but I suppressed it as if nothing happens. We became so formal with each other.
"Miss Kim, are you done with the reports?" he asked me as I was busy typing on my laptop.
"Yes, it will be done within a minute Sir," I answered without looking as I continue summarizing the report to be done.
"I will wait for you then." I heard him say. I looked at the clock and was surprised that it is almost 7 p.m. The welcome party was also at the same time. I sent the report to his email and prepared myself to go out, but I was surprised when I noticed him still seated on his swivel chair behind his large table.
"Why are you still here Sir?" I asked in surprise. He looked at me like "what's wrong with that" face.
"I told you I will wait for you, haven't I?" he answered amusingly. I feel dumbfounded.
"But it is your welcome party Sir. I believe everyone is already waiting for you there." I explained.
"I know that but I can't leave you alone here." He also explained to me like it is a natural thing to do. "Now, if that really concerns you then we should *pali-pali." (A Korean word means fast). He was already at the door before I noticed him. I grabbed my things and followed him at the elevator. I feel conflicted if I have to follow him or go separately.
"Don't tell me we will go separately?" he asked as if sensing my hesitation. I secretly gulped. We were just alone in the elevator, and I was aware of his manly musk smell. It was pleasant to my nose.
"No Sir, I did not mean that."
"Hyung-woo. Call me Hyung-woo. We are just alone, aren't we? And I waited for you. You also denied my invitation as my date. At least you should accompany me this time." as if accusing me that I was the reason we were late. I almost retaliated but realized that he was right. I gulped my irritation but what's with calling him by his name? Why does it sound sexy? Damn it!
"H-Hyung –woo." I tried to say it testing it in my mouth. I somehow felt awkward.
"Good. Now be a good girl and follow me. At least, be my company to this welcome party." he sounded delighted. He looked at me and flashed me his smile that almost stopped my heart. I silently groaned.
I am attracted to him after all, and I am definitely to myself.
"If it will make you happy Si--- I mean Hyung-woo." I obediently said trying to calm my beating heart. I could feel the rising heat in my face and I feel embarrassed myself; acting like a teenage girl in front of a crush.
Gosh! Wake up Gue-rim! I scolded myself.
We stopped at Basement 2 where his car is located. I followed him silently. He stopped on a shiny black new model Chevrolet. He unlocked it using his wireless key and went to the passenger seat and opened the door.
"Get in." my surprised face was evidently seen by him as he gave me that smile once again. He acted like a real gentleman.
I was rooted at a second but immediately move my ass and seated to the passenger seat. "Thank you." I meekly said. He really surprised me for real.
He softly closed the door and walked to the driver's seat. Humming as he turned on the car, and we set off.
