Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Little Boy is Too Smart for His Own Good

A couple hours later, I received a letter to go to a meeting regarding that topic.

"Tch!"

"Uh, your majesty, are you ok?"

"Yes, I am fine. Please prepare a dress for me to wear, quickly, and you do not need to go get any lenses this time."

I dress myself lavishly, as a King should and head to the palace conference room.

I sit on the only throne there, as the aristocrats kneel and say, "Your Majesty."

I look down at them and see a familiar shocked face. It was the Water Serpent Dylan. By the looks of it, he already found out that I'm Aurora.

"You there!" I point my finger at the head aristocrat, Silver, who was standing beside Dylan, "What is a little boy doing here?"

I pretend not to recognize him.

"Your majesty, he is my son, the Water Serpent Dylan."

I glare down at the aristocrat as he looks up. Sweat drips from his forehead and he bends down once more.

"Since he will be taking over my house one day, I believe it is best for him to learn first hand."

I sigh, "Very well."

We get down to business.

"Your majesty, since you are of age, we believe it is time for you to choose a spouse to help you rule the Kingdom."

"We have created a list that we would like to go over."

I stare at them. They look as if they're sure this plan will go well, but too bad; I'm not buying it.

"First, how will you explain to the Kingdom that the King is actually a woman. It would cause uproar and other Kingdoms will pick on us."

A bunch of them look away with no answer to respond. I smirk slightly.

Suddenly, the head aristocrat speaks up, "We have not revealed the age of the King, so we can say that the King died and his daughter is Queen. Therefore, there will be no uproar and no confusion."

He fake smiles sweetly.

"Then Silver," I use my second argument, "Are all of you also implying that I cannot finish all the work for the King and Queen myself."

Silver starts to respond, "N-no, your majesty-"

"I have done so in the past four years, so there is no reason for another to help."

I ended the meeting just like that and headed away.

"U-um your majesty. A-are you Aurora by any chance?"

I was expecting this.

"Oh? Who's this Aurora? Is she so great that you would compare her to me?"

"N-no, never mind. Long live the King."

I smile and head to my quarters.
