He snaps his fingers and all the assassins charge. Kyle puts up a wind barrier.
"You guys, hold them off for a bit."
I chant my most powerful spell: Change of Heart.
Once I finish my chant, a bright light shines through, and I target the assassins to kill Dylan.
"...n-no, impossible, that's cheating! That's an unfair power!"
I have the assassins chase him out and order them to kill him. King looks at me and claps.
"That is honestly some amazing magic."
"I can tell why he would say it's cheating…"Justin says sheepishly, "It's just so amazing that it's unfair…"
I turn away and try to muffle my cough. Ack! I really shouldn't use this spell so much. King comes over and gives me a hug to calm me down. My coughs stop.
King whispers in my ear, "Are you ok?"
I nod in his arms.
"W-we should leave this place…"
I turn to Trisha, Veronica, Ryan, and Justin.
"Thank you for everything. I'll be leaving."
They look at me and smile, "What're you talking about? We'll come with you!"
I look at them in disbelief.
"Well Justin and I sort of have to leave because Dylan is hunting us down," Ryan starts.
"We would never leave a friend by herself," Trisha says cheerily.
"W-what about your parents?"
"We'll leave them a note."
And with that, we set off into the Beguile Forest. We ride a combined magic spell into the forest. About 12 miles in, we spot a river and a cave.
"Let's stay there for tonight!"
We gather firewood, birch wood, wood, wood and wood! We creatively craft a bunch of tools out of them. It was quite easy, since we were all quite high level magicians.
A couple of moments later, my magic in the capital disappeared.
"The assassins are all dead."
They didn't even turn to look at me and said, "Okay…"
I chuckle; they're so focused.
We suddenly hear a loud thud. BAAM! BAAM! It seemed to get closer. Ryan stood in front of all of us.
"It's a magic beast! You girls get back!"
The magic beast looked like a moving block of stone, legit, moving block of stone or something. I would have laughed if it's magic wasn't so strong. Ryan was having a hard time by himself and couldn't even scratch it…I mean it's stone…
Anyways, it took like 15 minutes for Ryan, Justin and King to defeat it. They used their combo spell like five times ( every three minutes). Sadly, the monster wasn't edible.
We feed on wild plants and sleep in our reinforced cave. Luckily we took some sleeping bags and built a nice floor. Trisha, King, and Veronica had to do most of the sanding, since their magic was the only ones that suit it.
First, my magic, if anything, would turn the wood back into a tree. Justin and Ryan would set the whole cave on fire… yeah we don't need a big stove like that. King's wind power could easily sand it, but it takes a long time and a lot of magic. Trisha's string magic also helps sand. Veronica has levitating power, somewhat similar to King's, but she levitates some of the wooden items and sands the wood… and that's how we made our floor.
We stayed there for a couple of days, eating, sleeping, working; it was a nice life.
