Trisha and I catch some fish one day while Veronica reads 'How to Restaurant 101'. We catch about 12 fish and grill them with Justin's flame.
"Mmmmm… delicious! Even the palace cooks can't beat fresh caught!"
We munch on the fish and something perks my ears up all of a sudden.
Waaah! Someone's crying?! But we're 12 miles away from the capital! There shouldn't really be anyone. I look at King, who of course also has amazing senses, and he nods at me.
"King and I are going to take a walk," I say to the others.
Trisha smirks, "Oooo- the lovebirds are going on a date!"
My face turns red, but the crying starts to get louder, so I set off towards the sound with King. I land on the nearest tree and gaze down. It's a child! By habit, King and I both hesitate and glance over at each other. Then, I look back down and realize the kid is injured! His arm and leg are both scraped and dirty!
I immediately jump down and try to comfort the kid.
"Are you ok?"
He looks up and keeps crying, "Waah! It hurts!"
King leaves his back for the child, "Here, climb on."
I help the child get on King's back and tell King to head back. I search around in the forest and find some herbs that help treat the bruises and disinfections. I also needed some pain relievers, since it's a child. I head back quickly and make it just in time as King arrives slowly.
"What's going on?" Trisha questions.
"Oh, this child got hurt," I explain the situation to them.
Ryan grabs a bucket of water and Justin takes a towel. I apply the pain relieving herbs to the child and wipe off the mud on the bruises.
"Take the bucket away," I command.
I apply my healing power and the herbs. Finally, using Trisha's sewn handkerchief, I wrapped the bruises and … done!
"You'll be fine now."
I head into the cave to cool off. By the way, we made a door… yeah, it's technically a house in a cave now.
I retie my hair and head back out. The child is sound asleep.
"Let's put him on the bed," Veronica says.
Justin carries him in and allows him to sleep. We continue working and having fun.
The child wakes up the next morning.
"Oh, you're awake?" I ask cheerfully.
He looks at me with a frightened look on his face, "M-m-monster!"
