Chapter 29 - Chapter 8: The True Power of a Monster.

Everyone had nothing to say they just watched as everything unfolded both Haru and Spartan were puzzled by his accusation 'what did he mean a level 2,143 its impossible for a human to reach it.' That thought kept racing through both their minds while Ella, Mia, and Morgan all knew that he was about to reveal something new to them. "Why are you just standing there? Are you really that stupid that you think I would be intimidated by a human claiming to be at such a high level don't make me laugh it's complete and utter bull shit and you can't say otherwise." Akira just stared at him then after a few minutes bowed his elbow and raising his right hand next to his body. He put three of his fingers together and said in a calm voice. "Absolute Cancel" and then snapped his fingers energy poured out from it making the air around them became heavier and all around them Dragons similar to the one they killed prior started appearing around them. "Wait when did they..." "They had been there the whole time their chameleons a race of dragons that can change their body's color when not camouflaging their main color is white. We should have been more fearful of it." "Ok but why are there so many of them?" "Because the hunt in nests and if a more powerful dragon is around they'll follow that dragon." Haru started to grin "Ha so that idiot bite off more then he could..." her demeanor changed as soon as she saw Fafnir's face. He looked horrified his face was shaking with fear swirling in his eyes. "How how can a human have such a power?" Akira stared at him for a while before he started to grin this turn Fafnir horror into true terror. "What's the matter you over grown lizard? Afraid to have a fair fight with one of the weaklings behind me?" This confused Haru. "Who are you calling weaklings huh?" "Oh shut up without me here you could have never fought Fafnir fare and squire. Morgan can you please explain to them what I just did." "Right what Akira just performed was a cancel spell which nullifies buffs and resistances for a short time putting both the caster and the opponent on even ground." Warren became curious "Wait isn't the most powerful form of cancel Total Cancel and doesn't this only last for a few minutes?" "Yes however there's another know for being very powerful which considering the fact he just used that spell we can tell it exist and it's believed that it can last for up to a hour." " Well it actually last as long as I want it to, but then again the person studying its existence had no idea about that part." "Answer me human how can you have that power?" "Well that's easy" Akira lifted his right hand into the air and grabbed a hold of a sword hilt and pulled out his katana. "I have the powers of god!" This truly was the last that Fafnir could handle "Chameleons serve your master and kill this human!" Fourteen of them came running at him he countered them and started the slaughter. The others were in shock as Akira cut through the chameleons with no problem. Warren took out his appraisal glass and was shocked to see that his level was rising each time he killed a chameleon. "That's incredible." "What is it?" "Well it appears that he possesses the passive skill known as Absorb which normally takes one ability and half of the level of the enemy you kill so even if you reach max level you'll still get skills. However his version seems to be a rare version known as Symbiosis which takes all skills and levels of the target!" "Are you kidding me?" "No his level is rising and I project that once the last one falls his level will be around 3,543." Spartan and the rest of the hero stood in horror as he finished the last one and when the mage looked again his level had raised to 3,543 'As I thought.' Akira turned to Fafnir and glared giving a little smirk. "Is that it?" As he said one jump at him which he countered. "Oh so one of them was out of range huh." He took his sword and stabbed it into the roof of the chameleons mouth and started to cut through it then he point his left hand done it's throat "PIERCING ARROW" the spell went straight through the creature and killed it instantly. "Even with its buffs it couldn't stand against him." Akira stared at Fafnir with the fear in his eyes becoming a hopeless demeanor. "So human I guess the second I decide to face you was the minute I made the worst mistake of my life uh?" Akira didn't answer him "I see well I guess this is my end huh." "Yes" "Very well then, but before I'm killed by you I believe you have something on your mind?" "Yes I wanted to ask if you were gathering chameleons for a reason?" "That's a simple answer so when my master returned he would have an army of dragons at his disposal." Akira eyes widened "So you had heard the rumors yourself I think it maybe rumors myself, but it pays to be safe then sorry so hence the army." Akira just looked at him with sorrow in his eyes "How would you like your death to come?" "Please let it be by that noble sword of yours." Akira nodded and stepped towards Fafnir. He put his hand on his body "I'm sorry for this." "I forgive you hero." At that moment He stabbed Fafnir and the light started to branch from the wound at which Akira said a spell "Peaceful Rest" Fafnir turned to dust in an instant Akira returned his sword to the void and turned to the hero's and their parties they all stared terrified of him Haru was the first to speak "What on earth did you just do?" "Peaceful Rest it's a weapon spell that when use kills your target without them feeling any pain." "Why did you use it on him?" "Because he didn't deserve to die in agony." "Why after all the pain and lose he caused the creature deserved to feel every ounce of pain!" "Ask yourself this your friend is killed by a dog you later find out that a man trained it to kill your friend who would you blame the dog or the man?" "The man obviously." "Exactly you can't blame Fafnir for his actions yes he was an intelligent dragon however it was his master who frighten him so to do those things and Fafnir hasn't been active for three years so it was only the fear that his master might be returning that made him do those thing." "And that's how you want to justify him killing those hero's?" "He didn't the chameleon did that." "But it was under his order." "Yes but we're the invaders in his home wouldn't you guard your home to?" Haru had no response to that, but Spartan did "What did he mean you heard the rumors to?" "A demon king had said once that I might have been able to defeat Ymir if I hadn't meet him by which he meant to kill me, but now I'm curious if he is returning." "Ok but explain this to me what gives you the right to judge him innocent, or hell why are you capable of doing what you can and why are you even able to reach level 4,500?" Morgan answer "Because Akira is something special he's a hero summoned by god himself!" This confuses everyone else "A hero summoned by a god he's more a kind to a monster then a hero!" This enraged Ella, Mia, and Morgan "Sojiro is not a monster he's a kindhearted soul that cares about us." "Ya Akie has protect me through everything and is my mate that will save the dryads!" "Yes Akira has done more for use in the past month then all the hero's have done over the past year." Akira stood in shock of all of them. "That doesn't excuse the fact that he decide something that big without us." "So why should I care?" "You should because I won't let a monster like you live!" Spartan ready himself "I wouldn't do that my defense is down and I have no control of him if he decides your a threat Spartan." "Stop talking and fight!" Spartan charged at Akira with the intent to wound him and make him yield, but when he reached him Akira stop the spear before it hit him "Oh now you done it dumbass!" Akira voice sounded different some how it was lighter with more of an unhinged feel to it Spartan look at his eyes and they now had a psychotic tint to them he tried to back up, but Akira wouldn't let go of his spear "Oh it looks like you don't want to drop that spear? Though I think you should before that reaches you." Spartan looked at his spear and saw black flames slowly climbing it, this confused him until Warren yelled "Let go of it now that's hell fire if it touches you it'll burn down toward your soul." At that point Spartan let go and started to back up. "Ah that sucks I want to see what would happen if hell fire burned a hero at max level." "The hell Akira why are you acting like more of an asshole then before" he turned to Haru "hmm it looks like a two faced bitch wants to die as well?" Haru charged at him with her knifes, but he grabbed her by her throat and smiled. "Well you were more eager to die then I thought!" And with that his hand light with hell fire which turned her to ash faster then she could scream. This put the notion into every ones heart that if they tried anything against him it would be hopeless. Morgan stared in sadness "So he would even release him against other hero's." "This happened with the inquisitorial as well what is wrong with Sojiro?" "Ella that's not Akira!" "Then who is it?" "What standing in front of us now is one of the seven demon kings and the most powerful one the physical embodiment of wrath Demon King Azazel."
