Days seemed to have passed by with a single sign of Jun waking up. It was to a point that everyone began to really worry. There was no logical cause for it as nothing had happened that they were aware of.
Kirin and Ao Qing not once left his side other than to eat and shower. Varick being the ever reliable support, made sure Kirin ate and brought her anything she needed, even someone to talk to. A month had passed and during that time Ji had already sent word via his shadow-guards to the Viscar Royal Highness about the events related to her son and asking for advice.
"Reporting to His Highness, the Viscar Royal Highness states that this is the result of his lost memories returning and should be waking up soon. To not worry but to remind you that he will change, especially his personality. He knows many secrets of their world and situation and he can help her Highness in this period of time."
Nodding for him to leave and that he understood the shadow-guard flashed out of the room and the space became quiet and silent once again with only the breathing sounds from Ji. he stood staring into the horizon with a complicated expression on his face while delving into contemplation.
'Is this really ok? They need to know their family is alive and that they aren't alone don't they? Kirin… I will be here with you and here to help you, you have my vow. I will be the shield you need regardless of what happens to me in the future just as I had vowed for Shou that day before she fell from the higher realm. That day changed everything… for all of us.'
A light knock at that time sounded on the door. After acquiescing for the person to enter he was shocked to see it was Xiezhi. "He has woken up, however…" Looking out of the door down the hall then back to Ji with a worried look on his face he continued. "Who are you to Shou? I notice the way you gaze at her, protect her, stay by her side. Don't think I hadn't noticed, especially when you were scouting me to find her that day. Let me let you in on something, she has a past you will never be a part of. But I am and always will. She is my betrothed, and had it not been for being called out to a political summit that day… she would never have forgotten me." A sad smile showed on his face as h e turned away from Ji for a moment. What he didn't notice was the shocked expression on Ji's face at that moment as he honestly never would have assumed this bit of information.
He knows he doesn't know about before she had fallen from the higher realm, that day shocked the entire higher realm silly as it was impossible for a deity to lose her powers like that. To this day she had not recovered all of them because they were closely linked to her past memories. Still she is his best friend so why shouldn't he try to help her!?
"Look Xiezhi I think you have the wrong idea here… she is my best friend! We used to play together when I would visit her home in the higher realm as our parents are good friends. I made a promise to her to always look out for her as her brother… that won't change but that day she had fallen. I failed so I never plan to leave her side again. When you took her… it brought that day back to my mind and I thought I would lose her again. We couldn't find her down here because her divine powers are sealed up. I know she isn't aware of it; she just thinks she never had them. But… I'm now at a loss on how to help her. Do you know?"
Shaking his head, Xiezhi let out a soft sigh in frustration. "No, but I have heard there are ways but we are once again delayed due Jun… I want to go to the Craven Range Hill. there is a dungeon there that people say has never had a survivor but it is due to people losing themselves in their memories and not wanting to leave them… I am hoping she can recover them there… and maybe… remember me again? Remember that she loves me… Its been torture all these years without her."
Slightly nodding in understanding Ji stood up and patted Xiezhi's shoulder. "I do get it. I missed her too. But I am in no way in love with her don't worry about that… I know our families wanted to match us once but I refused… she just is too much of a little sister to me for that. Akane though… that deity is something I don't think anyone is a match for, aside from maybe Jun, just what type of world did she come from? Though she has a very gentle and seductive nature doesn't she? Hehe."
"You like her?"
"I suppose I do.." His stern eyes gentled at that thought. They have been fighting together for months and he has gotten to know her more in this time aside from how powerful she is. She truly is gentle and never tries to scheme.
"I wish you luck then, though you may want to delve into her history and make sure if you get my meaning. Not that I think she could be one of those but still you are the Crown prince you absolutely can not be too careful, the fact that you were allowed to leave unattended still takes me by surprise that the royal family would entrust you without guards. Though they always did have good foresight. And before you ask, no I have not detected a single lie from her but she is hiding something that I can tell you for sure."
"Mmm, I will be careful though I hope it isn't what you're thinking."
