Chapter 19 - I told you it wouldn't fit!

Upper Realm

An elegant lady and a very handsome man sitting at a table in a luxurious garden outside with tea and snacks. It could be deemed as if watching royalty elegantly taking their tea time. What can't be seen is the storm in their eyes at the serious discussion they are having. Typically those of the upper realm do not meddle with affairs in the lower realm, mainly due to the lack of blood ties between the two. However, this time there are quite a few that belong to the upper realm down there and this time there's also 'The Legend.'

Mountain area mid-level

Amidst the wondrous surroundings of the area they had entered, they spotted a tiny lake. They opted to set up camp and rest. Seeing as this would end up taking longer than expected. Once they had entered the mid way point of the mountain they noted the increase in beasts in the area and had encountered over one hundred battles, because of this some of them had wounds in need of tending as well as much needed rest to replenish their strength and magic reserves. Since this was a needed stop might as well take advantage and camp out for the night. As Kirin went around casting barriers and protection traps, Varick, Ruishi, and Jun began to set up the tents and campfire. Ze and Shou began cooking some of the meat and vegetables they are garnered from the battles and surrounding area.

The smell of the meat roasting with herbs and light seasoning, coupled with intense hunger as none had eaten since the morning, made their appetites waver and bellies snarl in protest.

"Hehe"

Giggling at the sounds coming from the camp area, an intense conversation started to roil itself from the tents. Curious as to what these overzealous men were up to Shou and Kirin snuck themselves behind a nearby tree to listen in.

"Hey! Thats mine you know!"

"What is this big spoon?"

"Yes, hand it over!"

"Are you sure your mouth is big enough to handle it?"

"..."

"I don't know, why don't you ask him?"

"Seriously?"

"..."

Shou and Kirin: …'Did we seriously just hear this conversation?'

Well that's enough of that! Both ladies slowly backed away and headed towards the campfire afraid of the results of that conversation and what it might do to their fragile hearts.

This… this is not normal…

Seeing Shou and Kirin's odd expressions the curious little Ze looked towards the tents, then back to the girls in puzzlement. Ze began to walk over to the tents taking care to avoid the girls in fear they may stop him. As he entered the tent with the most noise he came upon a very… ambiguous scene. There before his eyes are three adult men struggling over a very large spoon.

"I told you it wouldn't fit!" Roared Jun

"Pft, you just want it for yourself!" Snapped Ruishi.

"You can just hand it to me and I can stow it away properly." reasoned Varick.

To say this looked in all ways wrong is an understatement even to the innocent eyes of the little Ze. 'No wonder the girls had that look. Do they not know what this conversation can do to a mind? Even one as innocent as mine, this… this is not right.' Abruptly turning around with a snort Ze left the three quibbling morons to themselves and returned to the camp fire to await for dinner to be finished, though he honestly worried for their future.

A short while later, the air around the campfire was at an awkward stagnant state. Three men fiercely glaring daggers at each other, two ladies turning redder by the second, and one little Ze wondering how in the world did this day end like this.

"Hand it over!" Ze's voice in the three males minds snapped them off their glaring contest in a daze for a moment, as they stared at Ze they realized that maybe this was going a little too far if a child just pointed it out, they sheepishly handed over the 'big spoon' to Ze. within a matter of a second Ze melted that spoon into the abyss to never return to this world as he put on the most sinister smile and glared at the trio with the look of 'were you seriously arguing over this stupid spoon?'

The look of embarrassment on their faces was unrivaled at that point, they then slowly peered at the two blushing maidens, realization began to set in at that moment and all three of them began to turn bright red as they recalled the full argument.

Oh no… did they hear any of that!?

They must have thought…

Lowering their heads they finished their meals without even taking a peek at the damage they had inadvertently caused on the fragile minds of two young ladies. Once done they immediately headed to their own tents in shame to sleep off this embarrassment. Shortly after they had gone, the remaining persons at the camp fire quickly cleaned up, put out the fire, and headed to their tents to sleep off this very… What can you even call this day? Oh well sleep it is.

The next morning the group stayed in silence, after cleaning up the camp and putting away the equipment, they resumed their journey praying for something to break this silence that has enveloped the group. Ze just shook his head… 'I can't even comment on this situation right now. Honestly I don't even want to either, they'll figure it out.'

A pair of blood red eyes was following the silent group who were unaware of their surroundings. A sinister glint flashed within its eyes, and a vicious smile curled its way slowly upon a devastatingly evil face. Travelling from shadow to shadow it slowly moved closer as the seemingly unaware group. Just as the group were about to enter a narrow passageway, a flash of red streaked passed them. Landing in front of the group, the pair of bloody red eyes stared arrogantly down upon the group, releasing a menacing pressure, a low growl began to rumble from its chest.
