Magnus ran past the tank and climb up on the one directly behind it. As the tanks were all focused on Magnus, Emmanuel lined up his shot. It was perfect! There was no chance of being shot at during this one.
Magnus opened the hatch of the tank below him and jumped in, shooting the four Deutsche men that were inside. He got back out of the tank, not wanting it to get shot because he wanted to keep it, and ran over to the tank on the left of the formation.
He climbed up on that tank and repeated the process. Getting out as fast as he could, he heard an explosion and saw the tank that was half-way in the factory door, which was aiming at him, burning and broken. Emmanuel had made his mark.
Finally out of the tank, Magnus ran in a zig-zag pattern towards the final tank on the right. He climbed up the tank and stood atop it. A Deutsche soldier was aiming a pistol at the hatch and immediately emptied his magazine at whatever monster that could take down four tanks.
As soon as Magnus opened the hatch, he was struck by 10 bullets, and fell down on his back while still on top of the tank. Magnus healed himself, got back up, and unloaded his magazine at those inside. The rifle he had wasn't an SMG or an LMG, but a semi-automatic rifle.
When Magnus had finished slaughtering those inside, he jumped off of the tank, and thrust his fist into the air, gun in-hand, signifying victory. He heard over the radio he had that someone from the fourth unit had found the radio of their unit leader, who had died. Magnus told them to come to the factory.
Then, he heard a call on the radio in the Deutsche tank. Climbing into the tank, he heard, in Deutsche, "Hello? Hello? 8th Tank Platoon, come in, is the insurrection defeated?"
Magnus had no time to think up a proper answer, so he shouted back, "The insurrection is defeated, heading to regroup now!", with no intent to regroup with the Deutsche army.
When Amicus had gotten out of the tank, he asked Magnus what was wrong. Magnus told Amicus that the tank platoon had come from a larger formation, and they are expecting those tanks any moment.
Amicus thought that that was perfect! They were trying to destroy the Deutsche army, weren't they? All they had to do was get the marching orders, and they could set an ambush, and with these three new tanks! The fourth, having been shot, was unusable.
Thus, the new course of action was to plot an ambush on these tankless Deutsche buffoons. Magnus, being sly as a fox, got back on the radio, and said in Deutsche, "Uh- This is the 8th Tank Platoon. Our officer has forgotten the regroup-point and our navigator doesn't know where to take us. Could we have the coordinates again?"
The Deutsche man on the other side shouted, "WHAT?! Your commanding officer forgot?! Well, whatever. We are meeting in the village on the border with Deutschland and Gaul. You know, that village, on the north part of the border."
Magnus replied an affirmative and got off the radio. He turned and looked at Amicus who was using Admin privileges to search for the village. Amicus found it, so they now had a destination. Magnus wasn't sure if they should plot an ambush with such low numbers, but rolled with it.
The tanks can from the east, so the army was probably to the east. Thus, Magnus and his army were closer to the village. Thus, they went full speed ahead to the village. It was around a 50 mile trip. On the way to the village, they did not encounter anymore Deutsche men. Then, they encountered a forest about 30 miles into the trip. The entered, knowing that the village was on the other side.
Confident with their 4 tanks, Magnus ran ahead to make sure that it was safe. As soon as he got to an opening in the forest, he was shot at. It wasn't a village, but a large encampment! Magnus was stunned. The flying bullets stirred him to action, and so he ran back into the forest and radioed to his army.
"It was an ambush for us, not for us to ambush them! It's not a village, but a Deutsche camp!"
Amicus responded that they would halt. He was sure that Magnus could handle a camp on his own.
Cocking his rifle, Magnus peered around the tree at the Deutsche men watching him. He was severely outnumbered, even with his army. In a bid to save ammo, Magnus pulled out a tactical shovel from his backpack.
He rushed the camp as the sun receded behind the line of trees, shoveling anyone who was close enough. After smacking the first line of defense to death, Magnus straightened his hair which hit his eyes. Boy, did he need a haircut. Now that it was dark out, Magnus would have the upper hand as long as he kept his victims quiet.
Magnus crept through the fortifications constructed in between two empty tanks. The tanks and fortifications were there too keep any unwanted visitors out and in the line of sight of the sniper perch. Too bad it was too dark out now and there was no gunfire for the sniper to spot Magnus.
Magnus ran through two tanks and through the opening that was the entrance of the camp, shovel in-hand, and started swinging. The sniper placed a few shots near Magnus, but the Deutsche gunfire was never long enough for him to get a clear look at the intruder. Then, as the sniper was aiming again, he was shot through the head.
Magnus heard the somewhat distant gunshot, and looked over at the short burst of light, but did not see any further gunfire. Unsure who was out in those woods he grew a little worried, but was indifferent to it and thankful for the backup, he continued on the warpath.
