Through the woods they marched, to the place commonly referred to as "Hell". Magnus and his army made a stop on the way to that terrible place to get more supplies...
"Magnus!"
"Amicus!"
"We have eyes on the facility!", Amicus shouted from the tank. "What do you want to do?!"
"You guys stop, I got this one!", Magnus shouted at Amicus, everyone listening, ready for orders.
Magnus ran on ahead, only holding an automatic rifle. After many shots and screams and large thuds, he ran back out, splattered with blood, calling the army to follow him into the facility.
They did not know how he did it, but when the soldiers walked in, they disregarded the bodies on the floor which were either tied up or lifeless, and gazed in awe at their loot. It was like a gang of kids going into the candy store. All the soldiers cheered as soon as they finally took in what they were seeing.
Inside the storage facility was enough ammunition for Magnus' army five times over, as well as newly made guns and fuel for the tanks. They also found tank shells and five artillery guns with enough shells to last a whole day of bombardment.
All in all, Magnus and his men were now supplied and ready to fight off the German menace. The soldiers were all giddy and full of admiration for their commander. He was a miracle worker!
First, he got them out of the POW camps and training grounds, and he found enough ammo to supply them. Now he secured enough supply for them to fight their way out of Deutschland.
They were lucky to have been saved by a man competent enough to not only take over a storage facility, but also take prisoners. Now that they had prisoners, they could gather information.
Magnus wasn't sure yet if they should get too comfortable in the big, concrete building, so he decided to keep his soldiers on guard, right now only sending in the Deutsche boys to look around.
"Hey! Someone take these Deutsche soldiers outside. While I'm out there, you can decide what gun you want and get some ammo and a few grenades. Amicus, you decide who is going use the artillery guns.", Magnus said, standing by the door of the building.
He thought it was odd that there was a storage building in the woods, but where else are you going to put it when you are fighting a war in the woods?
He followed six soldiers who carried the four men outside. Magnus took the gags out of the mouths soldiers and spoke to them in Deutsche, as the six men went back into the facility and two of them stood in the front entrance, guarding it from any invasion.
"Why is there a facility out here?"
One of the men, who was crying, said to Magnus, "Please don't kill me! I have a family and children! They won't be able to survive the winter without me!"
"I'm not going to kill anyone.", Magnus said, and followed up with, "As long as you answer my questions."
All the soldiers nodded in agreement they would co-operate, except for one of the Deutsche soldiers, who spat on Magnus' boot.
Magnus looked down at his boot. The crusty mud that had hardened on it had become slightly fluid in the presence of the liquid. Then, it started to rain.
Magnus called to one of the men stationed at the gate over. He whispered something inaudible to the Deutsche soldiers who were bound and sitting in what was becoming mud. Then the soldier Magnus whispered to grabbed the disrespectful Deutsche man by the ropes he was bound with and dragged him.
Once they were around the corner, a shot was heard. Magnus looked at the corner of the building which hid the gruesome scene and looked back down at the soldiers bound on the wet ground.
He squatted down and said to them, "That's what happens when you don't co-operate with me. Now, tell me why there is a storage facility out here in the woods."
The left-most Deutsche soldier, who was closest to the main entrance of the building, answered Magnus, "The facility is out here because this is the closest they could get it to the front without having our enemies loot it."
Magnus asked, "But there are no roads out here. How do the trucks get here to take the supplies to the front?"
The soldier who was second from the right responded, "This facility was built before the war started. When Deutschland occupied Gaul, this road was no longer used since it stops short of Gaul. So, because of that, the dirt road leading out here was overrun by plants and hasn't been used since 2 years ago."
That was a good enough answer. Magnus was now confident that this facility was not a trap set up by the Deutsche to lure anyone in.
Magnus called out to the man behind the corner to come out. He rounded the corner with the Deutsche soldier alive. Magnus had whispered to his soldier to shoot at the Deutsche man, but not to hit him. This would scare the other Deutsche soldiers to be afraid and answer honestly and also trust Magnus.
Magnus, however, didn't trust the Deutsche soldiers. Therefore, he had his men pack up immediately and left the prisoners behind, bound and wet in the cold, brown mud. During this entire time, the soldiers in Magnus' army had been looking around for anything else useful. When it was time to go, all the soldiers were fully equipped with three full magazines and a fully functioning gun.
The tanks were also supplied and fueled up, and they now had five artillery guns. With this newly supplied army, Magnus marched south-southwest with his army. The soldiers sang songs and talked. Morale was obviously high. They trusted Magnus enough that they would sing while he protected their lives.
Their marching songs were heard by the entire forest, but any Deutschlander or New Roman that heard them were too busy fighting a war to pay heed to some songs coming from the woods.
Thus they marched, headed for the front lines, determined to win the war.
