As Thomas awoke in a bed he looked over at a table where both the horn and melted sword sat. Thomas stood up and put both items in the sub space as he mumbled "My magic is usable again." Thomas turned around and said "I probably should've found out some things about this town before falling asleep." Thomas shrugged and said "Guess it's pointless to worry about now though." Thomas walked towards the window and jumped out of it as he said "Guess I'll get some info now." As Thomas landed Lily walked out of the inn and seen him land. Lily stared at him and asked "Is it really so hard to use a door?" Thomas glanced at her and said "Using the window saves time." Lily walked towards Thomas and said "I recently found out that this town has quite a few of slave merchants, I'd appreciate it if you didn't get mixed up with them." Thomas glanced at her and said "So slave fights are quite common around here?" Lily nodded and said "This town has stories about one of the slave owners and how he has a slave capable of destroying an army." Thomas glanced at the sky and said "Sounds exhausting." Lily stared at him and said "I'd like to apologize for forcing you to fight that dire wolf." Thomas glanced at her and said "Don't worry about it, that guy probably wasn't gonna take no as an answer." Lily stared at Thomas and said "But if the creature was stronger then that dire wolf you could've been killed and it would've been my fault." Thomas put his hand on her head and said "Relax a bit, what's done is done." Lily stared at him for a moment and said "I won't act so rashly next time." Thomas put his arms behind his head and said "So what can you tell me about this town other then the slave merchants and owners." Lily stared at him and said "Right, so from what I understand this place is called Dorix and its a place where slave owners, bounty hunters, and criminals alike all run things." Thomas sighed and said "So basically there is gonna be a lot of people who want to pick fights." Lily nodded and said "This is my first time leaving the inn, I decided that I'd see if they were telling the truth." Thomas shrugged and said "As your protector I suppose it's only right that I go along with you." Lily glanced at him and said "Oh right the others are all doing some sort of quest together." Thomas glanced at her and said "It's probably for the best that they're sticking together." As Thomas turned around a man held a knife to Thomas's throat and said "A demi human in these parts?" Thomas pushed the knife away and said "I've already heard that before, is there a skip button?" The man but the knife away and said "Perhaps your a slave?" Thomas sighed and said "I've definitely heard all this before." Lily stood in front of Thomas and said "He's not for sale." The man laughed and said "Of course not, besides what use do I have to buy a demi human." Thomas glared at the man and mumbled "This part is new, and its definitely annoying." The man laughed and said "I won't bother taking advantage of a little girls slave, however others will likely challenge you to kill him." Lily glanced at Thomas and said "He should be fine in a battle." The man smiled and said "So you think a demi human is a match for some of the other species and slaves around town." Lily glanced at the man and said "I'm sure he's perfectly capable." The man glared at Thomas and said "Then perhaps we should have a match." Thomas scratched his head and said "No thanks I'd rather not." Lily stared at Thomas and said "I agree with him." The man turned around and said "Oh well that's too bad, I guess you were all talk after all." Thomas grabbed the man's shoulder and said "You wanna doubt her, fine then show me your slave." The man smiled and said "Well if you insist." Lily grabbed Thomas's arm and asked "Are you sure about this?" Thomas glanced at her and said "I'll make it quick." The man called out to a beast that was carrying some boxes as he said "I want request anything when I beat you, killing the demi human shall suffice." The beast stood up on two legs and was covered from head to toe with fur. It had razor sharp claws and teeth as it glared at Thomas while sniffing the air the man said "This will be your opponent." Thomas stared at it for a few moments and said "What do we get if we win?" The man smiled and held up a sword as he said "This was ordered by me a while ago, it's made from cloud metal, it's as light as a feather and deadlier then my friend here." Thomas shrugged and said "Alright, I've been needing a new a sword anyway." The man smiled and said "Then let the match begin." As the creature swung at Thomas its claws cut through the air. Thomas leaned back avoiding the claws and asked "Is magic fair play?" The man stared at Thomas and said "A demi human with magic is especially uncommon, not to mention you can keep up with his speed." The man glanced at Lily and said "It would be a real pity if you died so easily, so please do use magic, you'll need it." Thomas glared at the man and mumbled "You think I need magic to beat this thing?" Thomas punched the creature in the side and said "Im only asking so I know if overkilling this thing is fair play." The man stared at Thomas and said "That's quite the punch you have." The creature slammed its hands down on Thomas as it growled and snarled at him. Thomas raised his arms to block the attack as he said "It can get a lot better if I wanted to use magic." As the creature slammed onto Thomas's arms Lily glanced at the man and said "This thing looked a lot stronger then what it actually was." The man stared at Lily and said "I guess we're both in for a surprise." Thomas felt the pain in his injured arm as he mumbled "I forgot about the poison." As the arm of Thomas's jacket began to turn red Lily stared at Thomas and asked "Are you alright?" Thomas pulled his sleeve up and seen the bandages blood soaked as he said "I'm fine." Lily stared at his arm and said "It certainly doesn't look fine." Thomas stared at the creature and said "Maybe I should use magic." Lily stared at him and shouted "You should've used magic from the start." Thomas shrugged and said "But using magic makes this whole thing to easy." The man laughed and said "I do enjoy a good bluff." Thomas glared at the man and said "Guess no one will believe a kid." Thomas turned back to the creature grabbed it by the throat and said "Freeze." As the ice formed around the creature's head it began to whimper. Once the creature's head was completely ice Thomas crushed it sending parts of ice and the creature's head everywhere. Thomas turned back to the man and said "I believe you owe me a sword." The man stared at the creature's body and said "You mean a demi human actually possesses this much strength?" The man reached into his jacket and tossed the sword on the ground as he said "As we agreed the sword is yours." Thomas stared at him and said "Although attention really doesn't suite me, be sure to spread the word about this." Thomas picked up the sword as the man walked off and said "I'll be sure to spread word of a little girl traveling with a demi human to make sure no one else makes the same mistake as I did." Thomas put the sword into his sub space as Lily asked "Why do you want him to tell everyone about you?" Thomas glanced at her and said "Well if we're gonna fight people we might as well scare off the small fry." Thomas smiled and said "He's probably gonna exaggerate the story and scare off just about everyone." Thomas looked around at the people in the town and said "in fact I believe word is already spreading." Lily stared at him and said "We just got here and your already gonna be the talk of the town?" Thomas shrugged and said "Not how I'd prefer it but its a lot simpler this way." Lily stared at Thomas's arm and said "We should get that taken care of first and switch the bandages." Thomas moved the injured arm around and asked "Why, it seems fine to me." Lily grabbed his shirt and pulled him towards the inn as she said "We can look around the town after we take care of your arm."
