Chapter 50 - Chapter 50 Messing With Minds

As morning came they continued to march onward to Helios. While they were walking Thomas asked "Are you three alright, that chicken really did a number to you guys." They all nodded as Thomas asked Scarlett "Are their any differences between demons?" Scarlett nodded as she answered "Their are a few different types of demons such as the demons who would rather live peacefully and then there are demons who are trying to bring the demon lord to this dimension." Thomas continued to walk as he asked "Is their a difference between a demon lord and a normal demon?" Scarlett nodded as she said "He wields an unholy amount of power and can summon demons." Thomas stared at her as he asked "Witch type of demon are you?" Scarlett stopped moving as Thomas turned around and asked "Are you okay?" Scarlett nodded as she said "I'm a demon who was created by the demon lord." Lily and Daisy both stared at her as they fell completely silent. Thomas walked over to her and put his hand on her shoulder as he said "Don't worry about it besides I don't really care either way." Scarlett stared at him as she said "The demon lord won't like that I gave up on trying to bring him into this dimension." Thomas glanced at Lily and Daisy as Scarlett said "If the demon lord does make it to this dimension he will surely kill me." Thomas continued to walk as he put his arms behind his head as he said "One thing at a time and right now that one thing is getting to Helios." Scarlett stared at him and smiled as they all continued to walk towards Helios again. While they were walking they seen a group of five demons ahead of them walking their way. As they were near the demons the five of the demons turned and stared at Scarlett as they asked her "How goes summoning the demon lord." Thomas stared at them as he mumbled "How much more cliche can you get, first you talk about them and suddenly they appear." Scarlett stared at them as she froze without giving them a response. As they walked closer to Scarlett Thomas walked in front of her and stared at the demons as he asked "How do you know her?" The five demons appeared to be angry as they screeched "The demon lords servants know all." Thomas smiled as he said "Then I guess you know what's about to happen?" The demons stared at him confused as one asked "What nonsense do you speak?" Thomas didn't answer as he punched the demon in the face as he shouted "You lied you didn't know I was gonna punch you." Thomas stared at the demons as he said "I ain't gonna sit by and let you summon the demon lord." The demons began screeching as they backed up Thomas began to walk towards them as he said "Theirs only five of you and right now it doesn't seem like you can do much." As the demon Thomas punched stood up it held up its hands as Scarlett shouted "Watch out he's gonna mess with your mind." Thomas stood their as he turned to Scarlett and said "What?" Before Scarlett could say anything Thomas froze up as he stood their completely motionless as the demons began to laugh as one said "We have your friend at our mercy." Lily, Daisy, and Scarlett all drew their weapons as Lily shouted "What did you do to him." The demons began to laugh as one said "We can now manipulate his mind however we want." Thomas continued to stand their as four of the demons began to charge at Lily, Daisy, and Scarlett as the Demon who continued to mess with Thomas's mind stood their laughing as he said "After we're done with you we will summon our lord." As the demons fought with them Thomas found himself walking around a pitch black room as he looked around and seen nothing. After walking around for a while the area around him began to shift as Lily, Scarlett, and Daisy appeared before him. Thomas stared at them as he asked "What going on." Thomas stared at them as he walked up to Lily and waved his hand in front of her as he asked "Hello anyone their?" As Thomas backed up all three of them began to chant its your fault we were injured. Thomas stared at the ground as he mumbled "I know." Thomas stared at them as the area began to shift once again. This time as everything reappear it shown Lily, Scarlett, and Daisy dead on the ground as the Basan breathed fire into the air. Thomas stared at what he seen in front of him as he fell to the ground with a tear in his eye as he asked "What is this?" Thomas stood up and walked towards the Basan as he attempted to punch it. The Basan quickly kicked Thomas away as it screeched. As Thomas stood up he shouted "You killed them!" Thomas began to run towards the Basan as it grew in size becoming even more massive as it began to breathe fire. Thomas prepared to shield himself as he closed his eyes. As Thomas sat their waiting for the flames he opened his eyes and seen that the Basan was gone as he walked over to theirs bodies as he said "I'm sorry I couldn't help you and it's my fault I should've been their I shouldn't have left you to deal with it." As Thomas stared at the bodies he turned around and began to walk off. As he continued to walk the area around him began to fade to black once again as tears rolled down his face he rubbed his eyes with his arm as he laid down and said "I should've been their." As Lily, Scarlett, and Daisy fought the demons they glanced at Thomas as they seen a tear rolling down his face as they stared at the demon who was messing with his mind as they shouted "What are you doing to him?" The demon laughed as he said "I'm forcing his regrets into him." Daisy stared at the demon as she killed the one she was fighting as one of the two that Scarlett was fighting began to fight Daisy. Scarlett raised her sword and cut the demon in half as she began to run towards the one who stood their messing with Thomas's mind as the demon laughed and said "It appears back up is here." As the demon stood their more demons began to pop up from the ground as he said "I've been standing here while mentally contacting the demon lord and he gracefully sent us some back up." As the demons crawled out of the ground Scarlett, Lily, and Daisy began to call for Thomas as they shouted "Snap out of it don't let some demon control you!" Thomas stood their as he was still stuck inside the black room. Thomas sat up as he said "Sitting here isn't gonna do me any good." Thomas continued to move forward as the room began to shift as he seen Lily, Daisy, Scarlett, and the Basan reappear as they began to fight. Thomas stared at them as he ran towards the Basan as he shouted "I won't let you hurt them again!" As Thomas approached the Basan it vanished as it killed them once again. Thomas stared at the bodies and fell to the ground as he began to fall into a blind rage. As Thomas stood back up he stared straight up as he shouted "I'm gonna kill that fire breathing chicken." As Thomas began to run through the darkness he began to see the Basan kill them a seemingly endless amount of times. As he seen it again and again he got more and more angry at the fact that all he could do was sit their and watch them die. As Thomas continued to see them die his eyes began changed to red and began to glow as the black room began to shatter. As the Basan reappear Thomas leaped into the air and punched it knocking it to the ground as the black room became more and more destroyed. As Thomas walks towards the Basan the room disappeared as he found himself in the real world surrounded by demons. Eyes still glowing and in a blind rage he noticed Scarlett's sword in the ground as he grabbed the sword and began to slaughter the horde of demons as he shouted "Where is that damn chicken!" The demon who was messing with his mind began to panic and run away as he screeched "He's broken free he's broken free!" As Thomas slaughtered the horde of demons they began to run away and as the horde cleared Thomas noticed Scarlett, Daisy, and Lily standing their as he dropped the sword and fell to the ground. As the remaining demons ran away Thomas sat their as he stared at them as he mumbled "Their wasn't a fire breathing chicken?" Thomas held his head and laid down as he asked "Why does it feel like I drank the dwarf's brew again?" Scarlett walked over to him as she said "It was a type of mental attack." Thomas stood up as he said "Never mind the hang over feeling we need to get a move on." Lily walked up to him as she asked "Who's the chicken?" Thomas began to walk down the path without giving her an answer as he mumbled "That's not important, right now we should just get to Helios."
